i just recived this strange text..

consistent phone calls at around 8 a.m. Caller ID reveals only US6882. I never pick up. Phone rings twice and then caller hangs up.

Security Service FCU Alert: Your Card has been Deactivated. Please contact us at 210-858-6882 to Activate your Card. I got this message it is a scam for credit cards please do not give out your information.

This is crazy because I do have a Security Service FCU account. When I got the text message at 5:06pm yesterday, I immediately called SSFCU on the 800# that I have used in the past 10 years. It had to have been a massive text message sent out cause the representative that I spoke to said that their call queue went from "0" to about "50" calls waiting in queue in a matter of seconds. I called the 210-858-6882 from a recorded line at my place of employment (police department), and it goes straight to a "full" mailbox.

got the same sms msg at 6:15p on a sat. ..agree with poster above, i would like to know where they got my phone #.. b*****ds

i received this text and do have an account with them.  i called the bank directly and they said this is a scam and to not enter your account information as the recorded call at that number instructs.  your card has not been deactivated, or whatever.

same for me very strange

Yup same here.  Weird since I live in the 210.

I got the same message.  I do not have a Security Service FCU card.

I got the same text message:

definitely a scam.  I dont have a "Security Service FCU" account.  Though I would like to know where they got my number...
