Received call from someone soliciting funds for State Troopers Association.  No further info available

I consistently get calls from someone who claims to be with State Troopers Assoc asking for donations.  They are very rude people and I don't really believe that they are who they say they are.  I believe it's a scam.  When asked for a donation, I said that I do not give information over the phone.  He became rude.  I believe it's a scam so BEWARE!

I received a call from this number.  It displayed as "out of area" with no name.  I let the answering machine pick it up, and the caller hung up without saying anything.

We get calls from 210-858-8152 consistently.  We are on the state and notional NO CALL list.  They ask for donations to the State Trooper's Association.  We tell them we have given in the past but because of the repeated calls and even after we have asked they not call they continue to do so we are not giving any more.  They get haughty and rude and want to convince us to give.  I think this is a scam.

Has out of area.  Never leave a message on recorder.  So I haven't talked to them but am on National and Texas no call list.

I have received several calls from this number and I don't normally answer if I don't see a name.  I am on the no sales calls list but get them anyway.

There was a call from this number on my CallerID, but they didn't leave a message.

Call came in from this number. I didn't answer because Caller ID said "out of area" - they hung up on answering machine.

Caller ID'ed as coming from 858-8152.  I did answer but they hung up as soon as I said "Hello?"  I live in the 210 area code.

Got called and picked up to silence on the line - I prefer to use a fax machine to pick up these types of calls.  Answering machines don't provide sufficient negative reinforcement.

Received a call from this number last night. They hung up on the answering machine. I tried to call it back to see who it was, but you get that familiar, 'this is not a valid number,' message from the phone company.

Call comes in; never leaves a message. Am on Texas and National do not call lists--does it really help?

I got a call from some guy asking for my full name. When I said "hello" he hung up. He seems to be in his middle age. The call was around 9:15pm.

this state troopers association has been a real pain ever since I moved to texas in 1994.  they pressured my elderly mother by intimidation several years ago and I ended up reporting them to the attorney general office.  they ended up leaving Mother alone but have continued to hit me up over the years.  I never answer but do trace the number.
