THIS NUMBER 1 212 000 2943 CALLED MY ID HUNG UP

Recorded message tries to hook you by saying there is nothing wrong with your account but its urgent that you call them.  They also mention your low interest rate is about to expire.  I pressed 9 as per the recording and got "Melissa" who said they were "Account Services" representing Visa and Mastercard.  She had no idea what any specific cards were, had no phone number for her company, and would not give me her last name.  I reported them to the National and State Do Not Call Registries.

PLEASE ADVISE SENIOR CITIZENS, PARENTS, SPOUSE, AND FRIENDS OF THIS.  DURING THESE DESPARITE TIMES, SOMEONE WILL ATTEMPT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE. IF THEY CALL, TELL THEM THAT INFORMATION IS BEING RECORDED AND BEING SENT TO DA.

I've gotten many calls from these Card Holder's Services folks.
Today I finally reported them to the federal do-not-call registry, which my phone is part of.
If you google 'national do not call list' it is not hard to find the place to report violations.

Called when machine answered they hung up? I would never answer or do business with a phone number like this. And from what I read here why would anyone apply for a credit card account over the phone when you have no idea who your talking to?

Received 4:31 PM 7/30/09.  Did not recognize number on Caller Id, so did not answer.  Checked number on Google.  Many complaints.  Alludes to reducing rates.  Will report to Do Not Call gov't office.

Said it was urgent that we call regarding our account.  While they said they represented Visa and Mastercard they were not associated with any active card.  I reported them to the State and National Do Not Call Registries.  What bothers me now is, if by answering have I confirmed for them my phone number they are trying to link to other info they have?

I don't understand - besides being on the Do Not Call list, our number is also unlisted in the white pages directory, removed from all white pages websites, and they are still calling! How do they get the numbers?! For a few months now, a recorded message has been telling us that this is our final notice to lower the interest rates... when will it really be final? Any time I press 9 to speak to anyone - regardless of what I say, the moment it hits them that I am not calling to give them my card number, they hang up. They do not have an unsubscribe option (even if they had, I'm sure it wouldn't be a real one), calling them back is, of course, useless, because the callback number is invalid. It is clearly spam, but how can it be fought against?

Just got the same call - asked to be removed from the list - said I was on Do Not Call, got the same, "doesn't apply to us, we're not selling anything" response. Asked to be removed.  He said, "you'll be surprised how easy it is, listen closely." Then, he slammed down the receiver on his end. Would love to report them, just don't know how or to whom.

Same call with prerecorded message from "rachel" about lowering rates. Company says it is called "Account Services" (though "New York" shows up in caller ID).

When I asked which company it represents, it said "all of them." They claim to represent all 500+ credit card companies/banks. I told them to remove me from their call list and that my number is on the National Do Not Call Registry. Was told that the Registry does not apply to them. I can only guess that's because they're frauds.
