Card Services - Credit Card Scam
| DB 2011-06-06 20:42:52 Unknown |
I pressed "9" to see who they were. Got "Anthony" who had the normal spiel. I said I carried no credit card balance from month-to-month and he said "liar". I asked him to repeat that - he said "you're a f***ot" and hung up! Wow - what a class operation; just the sort we'd all love to do business with!
The government ought to do something to prevednt these types from our being easily able to identify them. How do they get caller IDs which are obviously fictitious (exchange 000)?

I pressed "9" to see who they were. I got "Rachel" who had the normal spiel. I asked which of my credit cards they represented and she said the offer referred to any Mastercard or Visa... to which I responded I am listed with the do not call registry and since I am not currently one of their customers, they violated the law by soliciting my number, and to please remove my number from their list immediately. She hung up on me.

Robocall - then pressed 9 to speak to representative - asked to be removed from their call list - and she hung up! I am on the do not call list!

Robocall offering to lower rates. Pressed 9 and got operator clearly accustomed to confrontation. Said they would "negotiate" with banks to lower rates. Stuck to script well. Gave me Co name as "Account Services," address of 9070 Cherry Ave, Orlando FL, phone of 800-842-2911. Number is bogus. Connects to a message that redirects you to some pay-per-use "national directory."

Saw the # on my caller ID no message. I wish we could get the Do not call list to work or make all these callers criminals which is what they are.

No idea what this call was. The bizarre number made me assume it was a sales call, so I let it go to the answerphone and they hung up before the beep.
