On 3-7-14 caller id said "no number" I answered the guy said he was with Windows. That it shows my computer had problems downloading some updates from windows. I said okay. I asked him what version? He said windows. I said again " what version? " he said "windows" Then he asked if I was in front of my computer? I was. Then he had me go to to the remote login screen. That's when I told him to stick it and hung up. And he keeps calling too. rrrrrrrrr!

I found that the best strategy is to waste as much of their time as possible and finally ask them to keep on the line so you can still keep wasting their time. Then they will get mad so start making racial slurs at them if you know their ethnic background. Ask him if he is Tonto or Geronimo and make fun of their poor English. Tell him if he cannot fix computers any better than he can speak he should try frying donuts or else go back to India!

I a so very tired of people writing "the DNC" list is a joke, it is not a joke and it works very well when reputable companies adhere to the rules and regulations as outlined in the "DNC" protocols.

When you get calls from these "scammers", they are breaking the law in so many ways, first and foremost, they are committing fraud and stealing from naïve people. How any person with a logical thinking mind cannot see that these scammers do not care about "Do Not Call" list, this is the least of their crimes.

Then there are posters that write angry comments, without reading the posts from other writers warning or informing others about the numbers calling, which  they accuse this forum of being the callers. So please stop posting "Stop calling me", I promise you we are not calling you, have no desire to call you, and wish we ourselves were not receiving calls.

I just received a call from this number to my office.  He asked for me and when I asked who was calling he said "Kaiser Soze".  He sounded like an Indian man.

Called said he was an I Tech from Microsoft saying my computer was going bad and I needed his help to fix it.  Scam Scam Scam

The actual number is 212-677-1180.  If you call this number, it will play a copied intercept recording saying the line has been disconnected.  Question is, whom is the owner of this line.

woman called identifying herself as "Jeffrey Cook" in a thick accent. wanted to know if I was the operator of a Windows computer. HUNG UP.

Received phone call from this Indian speaking person telling me I had problems with my computer. I told him i had no problems and I hung up on him.  a few days later his number showed up again and I didn't answer. I intend on blocking the number

Got a call from a man with a thick Indian(?) accent. Said something about my computer. Told him I am on the "do not call" registry and to take my name off his list. He asked if I was a student and said I have a sweet voice. Told him I don't care and not to call me again.

Just got a call on my cell from this # asking to speak to the owner of any computers in the household. I asked how the caller (a man with an Indian accent) got my # and he said it was not a marketing call. I asked to be taken off the list and he said there was none. I asked not to be called again and he said he would continue to do so several times a day because "It doesn't matter".

Ridiculous!

My mother got a call this afternoon and couldn't understand the man so asked me to listen to him.  He said he was calling from microsoft and that some corrupt wjndows  files had been downloaded to her computer and we needed to delete them.  I said thank you and hung up.  Since my mother has an apple computer we decided this must be some kind of scam.

These calls are from a group called PC Speedy. They claim to want simply to notify you of the harmful software being downloaded on your computer. I tried to get info from them (the caller and his supervisor).  No one is a native English speaker, although they claimed the names of "Jackson" and "Shane." Of course it's a scam.

I had to say hello several times before anyone answered. Guy with an Indian accent told me that he was with some computer department, that there were problems with computers in my neighborhood, and they were trying to fix them one by one. I strung him along for awhile asking him questions and he finally hung up.

I just got a call from that number 212-077-1180...he said, this is Ethan from the IT department and was calling about my computer......I said he had the wrong number....He hung up!...What's up with that???

I also received a call from this number. A very rude woman with a very thick accent. She told memthta I was was haying issues with my computer and I told her no I wasn't. She just started laughing at me. When I stated that I knew she was trying to scam me, she continued laughing and then asked me her company name and if I knew she was scamming me then I would know her company name. I told her that I was reporting her and this so called company and they best not call me again and hung up.

It's a computer scam. They called me twice. They tell you there is something wrong with your computer. They can see your computer.  They say they can fix it.  They ask you to enter something in your computer.  It allows them to take over your computer while your online.  But encrypts everything so you can't see it.  Makes a huge mess of your computer.  They tell you for a huge dollar amount. They can fix it.  Just tell them your computer has not been on in some days.  There is nothing wrong with it.  

Got called by a guy with indian accent, very rude and abusive. I returned his compliments , hung up ??.. scammer

The number on caller I.D. looked shady, so I picked up the phone but didn't say anything. A guy on the other end, with an obvious boiler room in the background, kept waiting for me to say something. Then he got irritated and started speaking in some weird language, so I started speaking to him in my schoolgirl German. Blew his mind. He hung up.

Got a call from this number. Indian accent, telling me they noticed errors on my computer the last several weeks. I ask him who's computer, he said yours. I said give me a name. Pause then He said Ms. My last name.mi said what computer. He said your Microsoft programs. I said, well that would be hard since I have a Mac. No Micrsoft here. I said. GET A REAL JOB AND QUIT SCAMMING HARD WORKING PEOPLE. ......CLICK

Low-tech method to get you to install malware on your PC. Really, the first give-away is a number you don't recognize is calling you. Second, it begins with a zero (or one) after the area code. If you installed whatever this guy says, you're too dumb to own a computer. drive a car, operate can opener, etc.

I received a call from this number. Indian accent. Claiming to be from microsoft.  FRAUD!!! I would bet on it. When I asked him about it be a fraud he got very angry with me.  I asked to speak to boss and he would not transfer me.  I stayed on the phone for almost 7 min by the end he threatened me to be scared with what he can do.

They called and asked for a Mrs. Robinson...no one here by that name.  Kept asking if I had a computer. Told him that was none of his business.  Asked him who he was...could not understand who he was with.  He had a thick accent.  Told him several times I wasn't giving any information to someone I don't know and it was none of his business....he told me it was his business and to go ...... Myself!!

Received call from a younger male voice identifying himself as "with PCCD". I was given my wife's name, address and he said he was calling about my "computer that runs Widnows". I asked to speak to his manager. An older, deeper voiced guy-- UK educated based on some of his obscene colloquialisms-- threatened my wife, mother and signed off with "get the fxxx out you fxxxing American". And, he hung up. The fact that my wife's name and address were given to me (albeit no more info than any meathead could get from the internet or phone book), was a bit disturbing in the context of some of the threats he made. It's a 212 area code. Not exactly field limiting but this was an overt threat once I called bs on the scam. I'm not really sure if I bother to report this or where to report it. My rec is to HANG UP before it gets ugly.

Thick accented guy telling me my computer was generating error reports. I work in an IT dept and know he's fishing. Asked what he was selling and he told me to go f ck myself and quickly hung up like a coward. I can't believe anyone falls for this guys bs. Hopefully no one does.

I get this call week after week, glad I have an answering machine, to take care of them and others.
