Got hit today by the same automated msg. Same number. Then my wife got 2 automated calls from the number "0000", same identical deal, except that while one claimed to be from BofA, the other claimed to be from Point Bank.

You can always tell when a thief is calling you to get your hard earned cash. They always tell you about a bank card that has something wrong with it. First of all, I don't bank with BOA so, what will make me entertain this type of conversation? If I banked with BOA, wouldn't I receive an official letter from BOA? Unfortunately, lots of people will panic and follow up and end up giving important info to these con artists. They are BOAS who just want to suffocate you financially.

Beware!!!

I'd really love to troll these guys.  But every time I call back, it just says "please enter an extension" and then hangs up on me.  If anyone knows how to get ahold of these guys, let me know.

Same thing this afternoon - said my Fidelity debit card was locked - to enter in the number - i don't nor ever had this - number resolves back to Eagle Communications. To be honest the company doesn't look to legit either.

The automated call to my cellphone stated: "Your debit card has been compromised.  Please press 1 to speak to our fraud department."

My bank told me they do not use automated messages to report compromised cards.  The bank first tries to call me personally.  If they are unsuccessful the use of the compromised card is blocked until I call them to unblock the card or request a new one.

Just got the same thing as everyone else, I called Bank of America and apparently the scammers are EXTREMELY active right now, they random-dial and hope you happen to have a card with that bank.  BoA is aware of the issue and doing what can be done to run these criminals down like the dogs they are but apparently that takes some time.

Same thing, automated call saying my B of A debit card had been locked.  THIS IS A SCAM!!  My Discover card was used fraudulently the day before, so I am sure it's not a coincidence.
