Called our company and asked for claims dept. Because that could be several things where I work, I asked for more info and it was for employee health insurance verification. We're self-insured, but normally those calls go to a different number. So it made sense but doesn't necessarily mean it's legitimate.

the day earlier i wanted to check with spokeo to see if its a pay phone on the sidewalk or something
and was very surprised to see its a telemarketers No.
if they call again ..should i pick up just to see what their pich is ???

i let this number ring...
so i could call back and make sure its not a spoof number being used by a debt collector begging for money...
they left a voice mail message saying...

i amidiatly called back to say WRONG No. but theirs never an answear...
looked at SPOKEO and i've come to the conclusion that these callers HAVE NO REASON TO BE CALLING PEOPLE !!!!!! THEY DONT HAVE AN EXCUSE !!! OR A REASON !!!

I have an appt tomorrow at Beth Israel and got an automated call reminding me Friday which I confirmed (all through automated system).  I just got another today from same # and imagine this was another reminder.  Since it's a robocall there is no message.

Thanks for this. I have an appointment coming up and appreciate you connecting the dots. I received two missed calls--first on my work line, then on my cell phone, with no message and no information. I tried calling back and it leads to a voicemail about billing information (which I guess is something)--but no mention of who they are or what the purpose of the call is. This is very frustrating and they really have to get it together--especially because I'm writing this now in April 2013 and you wrote about it in Jan of 2010--crazy!

I just got a call from a woman at this # saying she needed to speak with me about my appt with a ped at Beth Israel tomorrow.  I dhave never been to BI (delivered at SLR) and have been out of NYC for over a year now.  No idea how they got my info, but they had my cell # and were aware that I had a baby girl.  Odd...

Received a phone call on my cellphone at 7:26 PM. This happened two days after my first daughter was born in Beth Israel Hospital and on the same day I was discharged from the hospital.
The caller was a woman and she sounded like around 40 years old. She asked what my daughter's name was. I told her I had filled out the form for birth certificate and had handed it to the front desk. She said she didn't receive the information.

I also got a phone call on my cell phone stating that 160 Water street in Manhattan is open for business.
I'm very happy for them.

212-265-2500 has been broken.  On January 28, 2010 I had a breakthrough about this number, which repeatedly calls people and then hangs up.  Return calls to the number ring incessantly without an answer, which creeps poeple out, and which is why, I assume, this phone number is on this website.

212-265-2500 belongs to Continuum Health Corp.  Continuum is a network of healthcare providers that operate as outpatient-like groups of hospital-affiliated specialist MDs.  My Doctor is affiliated with Beth Israel Hospital in New York City, and my Doctor's office group is part of Continuum.

The consumer generally has no idea that their Doctors are part of Continuum.  Once I made the connection, I spoke with a manager and found out that this phone number is merely an automated reminder call.  The intention is that the call will remind us about the appointment and remind us to bring necessary identifiation and referrals to the scheduled appointment.

The manager I spoke with is going to follow up with Continuum's IT Department about this.  First, they have to fix the broken outgoing call message.  Second, they have to enable answers to calls to the phone number, in case consumers have questions.  Apparently, the Manager knew how to approach this, because the second problem had come up before.

I have had three calls this week. however when I try to return the call no one is answering the phone. Thanks for the info. I called my doctors' office (Beth Israel) to make a complain but they knew nothing about this number.
