Got the same call from 253-242-2102 which came up on caller ID as Wallmart (not the correct spelling).  I traced it back to Tacoma, WA.  Didn't ask for an address...they already had it.  I'm so excited, that I'll either frame the sucker, or put it on top of the Christmas Tree where the angel use to be.  Since I haven't gotten any follow up instructions yet, I don't know what the HOOK is yet, but I'll have fun with that too.  I'll send a fake check with fake name and THE BANK OF HARD KNOX on top.

This is a SCAM!!!!. I got a letter and a check for 4,995.$ The letter said the check was to cover taxes and insurance so I could get the rest of my "winnings". I was instructed to deposit the check and then call my claims "agent". As soon as they got the money from my account they would mail me the remainder via fed ex. I called the bank where the check was drawn from. They told me do not deposit the check  it was no good.

These scammers ask for your personal information to forward your mail to their address. They're looking for your bank and credit card statements. Do not give them your information!

They told me the same thing,I guess everybody won 250,000,they need to quit.

It was a call they said from Walmart claims dept. that I had won 250000 dollars. They put me on hold & said I was third & about 8 minutes later said I was second & about 8 minutes later said I was 1st & about 2 minutes later a foriegn guy said how can I help you? I said someone said I won 250000 dollars & he from Walmart or Home Depot? Isaid Walmart & he ask to verify my name address & phone number which I did. He said I would recieve a check within 10 days. I said is this b***s*** or for real he said no its for real that I didnt have to pay anything the taxes & all would be takin out of my check that I should receave it within 10 days.

I also got a voice mail telling me the same thing. There were two different numbers to call 212-256-9325 and 253-242-2102. I called the first number and got an answering machine. I called the second number and was told that I had won 250,000$ based on a purchase I had made last year. They didn't ask for any information other than my address and phone number. I was also told I would receive a check within 10 business days. I looked up the numbers in a reverse directory. The first one was a NY number and the second one was in Washington state. Both are land lines. I wasn't told anything about a claim number I was told I would get a PIN number. I can only hope this is for real but more than likely it is some sort of scam...

I got automated call from new York, NY (212)256-9325. Saying my purchases in past year
Has put me in a drawing for $250,000. Spoke to foreign sounding man, said his name was
David Wilson. Calling from "Mega finance" on behalf of Walmart/ Home Depot drawing.  
I asked how they got my info. He said my number was selected from a drawing. They
wanted me to verify my address. But I didn't give it to them, they already knew it & just
Asked if it was correct. Then I asked, "what's the catch"? Do I have to buy anything?  He
Said no. Is it a gift card for in store purchase? He said no. It is a check you can cash & use
However you want, he said. I asked if there would be an explanation letter. He said "yes"

Importance of your claim number, to protect it, don't give it out. Or someone could cash your
Check if they know the number.
I'm not sure this is real.... especially since I see 2 others from today with same call. But I was

I GOT A VM TO CALL WALMART INTERNATIONAL via OMEGA INTERNATIONAL @ 212-256-9325 TO CLAIM PRIZE OF A QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS! YES...$250,000.!!  I CALLED BACK TO VERIFY THE CALL. A MAN WITH A FOREIGN ACCENT I.D HIMSELF AS MICHEAL, A REP OF WALMART INTERNATIONAL via OMEGA INTERNATIONAL SAYING THAT MY NAME WAS SELECTED FROM A PURCHASE I MADE LAST YEAR?! AND THAT I WON AND I'LL RECEIVE A LETTER IN 7 DAYS AND A CHECK WILL ARRIVE TWO DAY LATER.  AFTER THAT HE FOR MY MAILING ADDRESS AS VERIFICATION, WHICH I DID LIKE AN IDIOT  AT THE END OF THE CALL, I THOUGHT WHO WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH TO SEND OUT A $250,000 CHECK, UNSECURED VIA REGULAR US MAIL!.! I'M CONTACTING WALMART TO INQUIRE IF THIS IS LEGIT, IF NOT I'LL EXPOSE IT THROUGH LOCAL TV NEWS AND BBB, LOCAL FBI...

some one called me from this number and said i won 250,000 from  walmart for my last purchase. i called walmart and thay said it is a scam do not talk to these people.
