Missed the call - would have just wasted their time - as much as I could. Scum sucking bottom feeders.

another questionable call from a questionable number .... that does not receive returned calls
Resident47 2013-07-29 05:43:56 Unknown
Stop what, reading your comment? Your scamming callers do not maintain this site or this web page. No callers can magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. Criminals who mass-dial and violate the Telemarketing Sales Rule have no plans to stop calling you no matter what you say and regardless of your DNC registrations. They need first to be sued or jailed.

Please stop

Foolish, foolish Rachel, if that's who's at it again, as in ANoniMouse's post. State of CO is after them and hot on their tails. Neener neener neener!! I got this call a couple hours ago, wasn't home, no message. Just reading posts above. My caller ID also said Star Rapid & Envi (last part cut off), which I googled and no such place came up.
Tom 2013-07-27 20:53:58 Unknown
You and I recognize what the drug-addicted "card service" scammers are up to, but decent people, many being the elderly, are being cheated every day. The word of these lowlifes needs to be passed on to as many folks as possible before they are taken advantage of! Some of the offenders have been located and prosecuted, but new operations arise as fast as the old ones are put out of business. I believe that cutting off the scammer's source of revenue will be the most effective tool, and that can be accomplished by educating people, so they are aware of what type of people (creatures) they're dealing with when the phone rings.

Really getting tired of all these harassing calls.
Mary O'Connor 2013-07-27 20:29:39 Unknown
That's exactly what they're doing, and this info matches the information in the call I just received today.
They're criminals, and thick, and stupid, and are going to prison . . . eventually.

Yes, Cardholder Services. They have started displaying what sounds like legit company names on the caller id. This time it was: Star, Rapid & Env
There were two options: Press one to talk to a live person and Press two to stop these calls.
I pressed "two" but all that did was disconnect the call, so I'm sure it had no effect. Next time I'll press "one" and waste their time.

Keep getting calls from this number and they never leave a message. e are tired of it.

Here is what you can expect to happen if you file a complaint at http://www.donotcall.gov :
From the web page "National Do Not Call Registry" at
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registry :
"What happens to my complaint?"
"Do not call complaints will be entered into the FTC?s Consumer Sentinel system, a secure online database available to more than 1,000 civil and criminal law enforcement agencies. While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint will help us investigate the company and could lead to law enforcement action."
One thing you might do is investigate whether your state also has a DNC registry. Often state laws are less lenient towards telemarketers and state attorneys general are more eager to take up your cause in situations like this. For example, see
http://800notes.com/forum/ta-82a56d4738c1edc/ ... lls-in-missouri
If you follow the link in that post to the Missouri Attorney General's office, you can see what resulted when he's sued other people and firms under that state's DNC laws, which I understand to have much more teeth in them than the federal law.

I got a call on my cell phone, did not answer, they did not leave a message

(212) 531-3925 called me at noon sharp. says its a NY number, I didn't answer and was left no message. if I don't know the number and arent expecting callbacks from jobs, I don't answer non-contact info.
Tom 2013-07-27 16:51:59 Unknown
As long as they didn't leave a message, I'll let you know it was the drug- addicted "card services" scammers calling. These lowlifes call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers so they can rip us off. People that have given these junkies their card number have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these scum, and warn others before they are cheated!

Caller ID 212-531-3925 (probably fake) Typical Heather call -- lower your rate.
Pressed 1 and got a subcontinent voice asking for my credit card number.
Screamed at the scamster that he would die and burn in hell, he kept asking for the CC number, but I kept screaming death and damnation to him - he eventually stopped asking and hung up.
It so purifies the soul to tell these creeps where there are going. not that it helps them or stops them.
Also notified phone co.

rec'd call from this #. no message. hate when this happens.
Sick O'Spam 2013-07-27 15:23:13 Unknown
I received a call from this # @ 10 AM today. I didn't answer, no message left; same as most of the others here.
I, too, have no idea if reporting to the FTC matters either except I saw this on FTC website:
"FTC Settles ?Rachel? Robocall Enforcement Case". (Here's the link to the article: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2013/07/aplus.shtm)
Maybe it does help after all, so I'll report it; can't hurt.

Call started off as though there was a problem with my credit card (I don't use credit cards. As I am on the do not call list, I immediately filed a complaint with DONOTCALL.GOV (and I wonder if the DONOTCALL folks every do anything about these illegal firms)?

Sounds like "Rachel from Cardholder Services" is busy again:
http://800notes.com/news/b0WTL4rBhQY/ftc-hang ... holder-services
It is, indeed, a well-known scam. If only it were true that this was your "final notice ...". They even lie about that.
