Answered and no one was on the other line

We weren't home.

Called, left no message. Third or fourth time this has happened.

Receive many calls from them.  Was hung up on when I pressed 1 to make an appointment and then asked how to be taken off the list.  I also tried pressing 8 to be removed but received at least 3 calls since then.  I have been on DNC since the beginning.

I filed a complaint with FCC.  I encourage everyone to do so!

I get calls from them every few days. Sometimes it's a hangup, sometimes it's a carpet cleaner.

Have gotten at least five to seven calls from 212-555-1000. I too am on the Do Not Call register, but somehow these people manage to get through.

usually allison, today dave, from some carpet cleaner...pressed number to be removed but the calls come weekly or so...pressed other number to talk to someone, but was hung up on when telling them that i'm on the no call list...frustrating, but the fcc site doesn't accept the 555 number...

this was also a carpet cleaning company (this time supposedly from someone named "dave". I am also on a Do Not Call list. I plan to register a complaint

i picked up and there was no one answering my hello. s.o. trying to get a large number of calls on their account?

I pressed 1 to make an appointment but was disconnected.  I wonder if it some other scam but I can't really figure out what the goal would be.

Received a call on 8/19/07.  No message left.

Computerized phone call from "Alison" selling carpet cleaning service.

Received a prerecorded message. "Hi my name is Allison from Capet Cleaners."  I didn't listen any further than that.  A complaint will be filed with FCC.

Same thing here. Called at 3:00pm by the carpet service. Selected 8 to be removed from the list and was immediately disconnected. I have been on the Do Not Call list for ages.

If they call back, I'm tempted to make an appointment and waste their time.

I've received a lot of calls from "Best Carpet Cleaning" and I've been on the donotcall list for 3 years. Today I got another call which showed up as "212 555 1000" which is fake. Btw, one of their real numbers is 888-279-6050. I urge you to use it and complain to them as often as they call you ;-)

Also got two calls from them, Aug. 7 and 8 at 7pm.  Also filed an FCC complaint, so maybe we'll start a "trend."  I hit the button to "arrange an appointment," asked what their name is, and was told "Best Carpet."

I also pressed 8 to get taken off list ? didn't work.

This must be a bogus caller ID because I tried to file a complaint with FCC online and it wouldn't let me complete the form ? says "invalid number" when I plug in (212) 555 1000.

My advice: next time try to talk to the person try and book an appointment and call 9 on my side.

Received a prerecorded message. "Hi my name is Allison from Capet Cleaners." It then preceded to tell me about a special in my area. It said to press 1 to schedule an appointment and press 8 to be removed from the list. The first time I pressed 8.

I received a call from the same prerecorded message the next day. I pressed 1 to speak to a representative and I was disconnected when I asked to be removed from the list.

I filled an FCC complaint. My cell phone provider can not block the number and the FCC only issues fines on a "trend" basis. In other words you must report this company in order to have them fined and shut down.
