Lisa from credit card services called me from 212-291-9196 grrr

annoying scams

I pushed 9 and I told the guy with an accent that I didn't have a credit card. He was like how and then seemed to get upset. He then preceded to hang up on me.

Within 5 minutes of my last call from the same people at a different number......I get another call from these people.  The numbers they use are phony as well.  None of them are even in service.  These people must be stopped.  My question is, who are the idiots that actually WORK for these people?  How can they live with themselves.  I know some folks are saying they sound like they're from India, but I always talk to American sounding people.

I hate them, and I get calls from them EVERY day now.  Unreal.

I just the same call from this number. I pressed 9 to go directly to a representative. Told the ( India sounding ) fella that I had no credit cards and to please take me off the list. He said why so mad you sound so hot. Needless to say I called him an a@@hole and hung up.

got the call, showed up on my ID as v21711372100039. weird. called it back, it was not in service.

Got a call from Caller ID NWYRCYZN01 did not answer, no message.

I got a call from this # today saying something about my credit cards and that there were no problems then I hung up. Used to be an automated message as this one was starting with "This is Rachel" so I hung up then as I do today. Scams of some sort.

It would be wasting my time since I don't own a credit card.I don't answer the phone anyway unless I know who is calling me.Most likely it is a scam when they don't answer back.

scam  call from lisa wanting to lower my credit card rates.  I press 9 so they have to answer it and set the phone down.  I can hear them saying hello hello.  At least it wastes thier time like they waste mine.  I am thinking of getting a very loud whistle  just for Lisa

I received a call from this number on a Sunday evening. A recorded message started playing and I pressed #3 to see what might happen. The recording stopped and I was transferred to a man who hung up on me when I asked for my number to be removed.  When I called back, the phone number was not in service.

says Merchant, Network - hung up

man with accent calling for my daughter...have no clue as to his motive ..i hung up on him

I received a call from this number as well. I did not answer. I called it back and it said the number is no longer in service...

Auto call from credit card company offering better rates.  I pressed 9 to talk to a representative.  When I asked to be removed from the call list, they hung up on me.  Called back and it's a non working number.

What is Merchant Network?

It's another number in a long line of numbers trying to get you to give them your credit card number. The Do Not Call list will not stop these calls. Your phone company will not help either, I've even had my phone number changed and these calls still will get thru.

yes, you can do something:  Please report the number to your cell phone carrier (send a text to 7726 containing the offender's phone number - it's the central number of all carriers to report spam) and also reported their number to the FCC http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

Received call @ 11 on Sunday morning. Never answer these junk calls (Caller ID showed "Merchant, Network"), but kind of suprised they would try this on the weekend.

They just called me this morning (Sunday) and woke me up. I love it. No one on the other end. Caller ID said "Merchant, Network."

THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM!!!!! DON'T GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFO!!! THEY SAY THERE CALLING IN REFERNCE TO YOUR GOOD STANDING CREDIT CARD...

Caller ID had this number. Terrible VOIP or satellite connection. Caller with a thick New Dehli/Punjabi accent identified as CardServices, Visa, Cardmember Services, and several other names, always followed by "like... uh, Chase, Discover" etc. etc. Said 'don't worry, this isn't a third party, we work directly with your bank, like Chase, Wells Fargo, and more". I had to ask if he knew what 'third party' meant!  
He laughed at me throughout the call and feigned ignorance, then asked me if I was police, told me he didn't have time for my question of the name of the company calling me. Said his contact number to be removed from call list was 941-412-3737. This came up as a mobile number in India and a prefix for Florida. Tried calling via VOIP but it just rang and rang. VOIP showed it to be a US number.
Probably not much you can do about these, unfortunately.

Just got this call, silent for a few seconds before the message started "This is Lisa calling about your credit card --". That was when I hung up.

Received a call from "Merchant, Netw" at 1:30 pm today.  Who are they?
