They called me. I didn't answer I had no time.

I received a call from this number back in January 2009 and the caller identified himself as David Cooper of NPD Legal Services.  He knew my previous employer, and that I had taken out a pay day loan.  I set up payments thinking that this was a collection agency working on behalf of the pay day loan company and made payments to them totaling $465.  I thought nothing else of it until checking my credit report today and seeing that the pay day loan is still outstanding.  I began to look up information about NPD Legal and this phone number and a google search led me to your site.  I now plan to report this company to the Federal Trade Commision and consult an attorney to recover my money.

the same thing happen to me its been happening to me since december 08 they said i owe a payday loan of 700 and that i got to pay cause if not a lawsuity is coming my way they even called me from like 3 different numbers now they call me wit a blocked number the do got a mid east accent they even called one day sayin they wore a police officer they been harrasing me for months and i want to know how  we can stop them from do this to us i havent been able to sleep at night worring abt these crazy people and what they doin to me and to everyone else how do people like that sleep at night ... please help us all some one im so glad i got on here and was able to see that its a scam....

They also keep calling me,  they calleds my father who had recent heart surgery is ther a way to stop them?

I also have been getting all kinds of phone calls from 212-660-2132 he says his name is freddy jackson or something all he keeps doing is yelling on my msg There has to be a way we can stop this he is calling my employer this is crazy

they started calling me at my place of business on friday 30th and kept hurassing me all weekend finally after some research i found all this stuff and when i told them that i had notified the athorities they got really nasty with me so i did on up on them. i had a couple of people call them back and act like athority figures (i know this is wrong too) but they have seemed to stop calling me.  The only ways to win is to play dirty too...When you start harassing my family and coworkers i get pissed... i am thinking about calling the local news outlets and telling them to start investigating this as well maybe we can help others before they get the call and panic as i did

Have you gotten any further with this? I am still being harrassed! And so are my family and friends! I emailed the FBI and have not gotten a response!

These people have called family and friends telling them there is a law suit against me and to have me call them asap! I have no idea what this is about! I gave the info to my Lawyer in hopes that they can stop the calls.

they keep callin me tellin me that there is a class action law suit against me and i have to go to court...i got the name of the payday loan company and i called them and i never got a loan from them...is there anyway to stop these people from callin...im being harrased and i dont appreciate it at all

They called me, and it just so happens I did take out a payday loan that I paid off. When I called back they threatened to sue me. I said if you are a payday loan company I know for a fact you can't send me to collection or anything. I told him to call my lawyer and he told me to Fxxx off. I called back and asked for the name of his supervisor he said Fxxx off again and hung up again. Like the idiot I am I called back a 3rd time to find out the name of his company and he said the name of my company is Fxxx You and my name. I emailed the info to my lawyer right away and he sent this back to me.

Also, to make sure that you are protected, it is best to institute a credit freeze on your SSN via Transunion, Experian, and Equifax.  Ensure that anyone trying to open an account using your SSN will have to go through password hoops, phone call verifications, etc.  It is similar to what the LifeLock folks do.

Scammers with mid-east accents.  If the FBI or police won't do the job, then we should.  Probably best to tell them that you are bringing the money to them in cash personally.  And when you meet up with the person, crack skulls, stomp on necks, and leave the corpses for the cops to find.

They did the exact same thing to me today.I had to change all of my acounts.

They called me and claim to be NPR Legal Services collecting on pay-day loans from 2007. I never took a pay day loan in 2007. They had my SSN and e-mail id. I wanted to give them my attorneys phone number, and they refused in their mid-east accents we are not your servant and we are filing a class action suit against your SSN.....anyone else heard from them

its an abandoned building they are calling from in nyc its 504 east 14th st....i called them and asked them if that was there address and they said yes...i called the fbi but they said that there is nothing they can do about it...

Yes.  This is a scam. I've had calls like this before. They will threaten and harass you to no end. They will harass your employer as well and they all have Mid East accents. Do not give them any information. They started calling my husband yesterday, and then me. Today, they called him at work.
It looks like the use a VOIP provider possibly. I urge you to contact the FBI Field office in NYC since this is where the phone number is registered. They are disgusting low lifes. My husband's employer is conducting lay-offs and now he has to deal with scammers harassing him at work. I'm going to try to get them shut down if I can. Any and all help appreciated.
