When calling this number back, it is a hotel.  Person from hotel was the hotel operator and explained to me telemarketers are using this phone number and the hotel is trying to get issue resolved.  Hotel person was very kind and patient while explaining the situation to me.

I just got to my 76 year old mom's house & she gets a call from 212-736-5000. The guy says he's from Medicare. He started verifying all her info & then proceeded to ask her bank name. He was able to give her the routing number from her bank but wanted her to read off her bank account number. He said he needed for verification. I knew right then it was a scam so I took the phone and started asking questions. The guy went off on me & called me lots of inappropriate names. I hung up on him & then googled the phone number to confirm it was a scam. Thank goodness I was there when the call came in! Otherwise my mom could have given info that would have depleted her bank account.

They keep saying the same thing to me wanting my grandpaw! They say its senior citizen benefits and when I ask why they are calling they say they cant tell me because they have to speak with my grandpa or they just hang up

I keep getting calls from this hotel penn. They keep asking for my grandpaw and when I ask why are they calling they say Im sorry I cant say why unless I speak with him or they just simply hang up! I am getting so damn tired of them calling.

They keep calling asking if I am a senior citizen.  I hand up right away but they are calling all times of the day and night.  I can't even tell them to take me off their.  I also signed up for no call.  What can be done?

Several miss calls from this number.  when i called it back someone on the other end stated that someone is using this number to scam people.

i got a call from this same number yesterday and today at 9:15 a.m. Hawaii time.  Only showed the phone number so I didn't answer.

I got a call today 3/5/13 from a guy named James with "one stop er" the tec department for windows users........asked if I could find the ctrl button, then what was next to it. wanted me to push that and r at the same time....this opens the run window then wanted me to type in inf (then I hung up)

Received call today no one would speak called back lady said this is Hotel Pennsylvania and I said you called me and hung up, she replied with he response we did not call you. I proceeded to say yes you did in an irritated tone the bi*** called me stupid and hung up quickly. Maybe if she would have explained that it was a scammer using their number instead of calling someone stupid I would not have been so angry, dummy.

First call from this number.  Caller ID only showed the phone number.  No message was left.

Apparently there are a group of spoofed numbers these bozos are using 212-736-5000, 859-966-9920. They're all trying to get people to change to a different electric carrier. (Fat chance since our utilities are probably some of the lowest in OH.) They refuse to stop calling and some have even gone so far as to send people door to door to get your information at which point they'll change you over to the company they work for without your knowledge or permission. If you have elderly relatives make sure they're made aware and under no circumstance should you show them a copy of your bill.  BTW the card services scam, ala Rachel, also uses these numbers. I'd love to dip them in honey and put them in a fire ant colony for starters.

This number repeatedly has been calling my house today and hangs up after 3 rings. I do not know this number and have read that this is a scam.

They call don't say anything I called back it just rings I never do that so I call and reported to the police officer they have they number know

I googled this number that called me around 2pm Tuesday (19th) and of course found this page. They left no message and I had and have  no intentions of calling them out. Just was interested in the number origin.
I don't ever call a number back without a voicemail.

they are trying to sell medic alert services to seniors.  i like what eric said...and the telemarketer recorded voice tries to scare the s*** out of you, i can see where this might be a prob for more gullible seniors.  shame on them.

Just got another call from this number (about the 20th in the past month). After ignoring the first few messages, i started to answer the phone. I pressed the button to be removed from their list a half a dozen times. Tonight I did the same thing, but then I called the number back  & found out that it's a hotel. Their number has been hijacked by this scammer. The best thing we can do is report the number to the FCC. Their number is 888-225-5322.

This company must be spoofing numbers, it was obvious that I was talking with someone that was in a large call center I believe, from the background noise.  They were selling Senior Safe Alert, operator #4509 advised that the web address is www.seniorsafealert.com

Do you remember the name of the company? They called again this morning at 6:14 am, my husband answered the phone and demanded to know who they were and what they wanted came back with a garbeled message and something "Union"?????? I called the FCC and filed a compalint but if we don't have the name of this scamming company then they will just steal another phone number and keep calling. If this were a legitimate company then they would not be calling before 8am!!!!!

I was really surprised this SCAMMER called at such a late hour.
Unfortunately this is a Legitimate Phone number for the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City that is being
forged & used to perpetuate this Medical Alert Scam.

This was the 8th=EIGHTH call from these SCAMMERS BUT very first one using this forged number who said they R giving away a 'FREE' $400 Medical Alert System.......I Pressed 1 and was placed on hold right away with  music. After the music played for a real short time I was then disconnected.

Got 2 calls in a raw from 212-736-5000 telling me about not paid electric bill.  The person did not provide the name of the electric company or the address with the bill in question. Will report the to fcc.gov

Got 2 calls from this scammer at 730 am, then at 746am which is illegal before 8am. Called the number and it is the Pennsylvania Hotel NYC, called the FCC and made complaint...If these people continue to call me, I will keep making complaints!
