They keep calling my fiance's number and when she talks to them they won't answer any questions and just hang up. Funny thing is we are both on the national do not call registry but I guess they don't care about that. I would love to get the name of the company and their address to follow up on them with the BBB and get some money back for breaking the law.

By the way, most consumers don't realize that the TCPA also provides an avenue for them to pursue monetary damages against telemarketers who violate the prohibition against unauthorized prerecorded commercial calls; the fine is $500 per call. Of course, that involves going to court but it's not as difficult as it sounds. Each time the telemarketer makes the illegal call, they could be subject to paying $500 in damages to you. (In other words, if they call you 5 times, they could be liable for $2,500 in damages paid to you.) FYI...these calls are illegal. The federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) specifically prohibits random (or unauthorized) prerecorded telemarketing calls. For some reason, using random prerecorded calls is the preferred method of operation by auto warranty scammers.

You can easily report these illegal calls online to the FCC (which enforces the TCPA): https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do  You may want to include in the complaint your experience with the company when you asked them to remove your name from their list.

They called six times using the recorded announcement the week before. This week they called and I listened, pressed 1 and got a rep.  told them I was on the no call list and to remove my number.  He told me to take a hike.  Ten minutes later got the same call.  I pressed 1 again and got a rep named Michael, acted interested in the warranty service.  He stated the name of the company was Vehicle Warranty Options in Florida.  After he quoted me a price I told them I thought it was high and he got John his manager on the phone and offered a lower price.  I told John I was on the federal no call list, to remove my number and to quite hassling me.  He told me they are going to continue to call me because I wasted his time.  I cant't wait for them to call again.

These people call me every day... I finally asked to talk to someone to see if they would just take me off the call back list, the rep actually told me no!  He said that we needed to extend my warranty, I don't even own a car!  The rep was rude and wouldn't listen to what I had to say.  It's very sad that this is what he does for a living.  I hope to find a number that works to be able to call them back, I have a few things to say to the management of the company.  Sadly, the number on my caller ID says the number was disconnected...

They keep calling me.  They were very rude when you question them.

I just got a call from this number and answered it after looking it up. they do have an option for you to close your account by pressing 3, or if you like you do have a right to know, talk to someone and tell them I do not want this please stop calling, if you call my house again I will put a formal complaint into the Better Business Bur. and the Federal Trade Comm. they have to BY LAW stop calling you. IF you do get another call tell them what happened the last time they called and you are now calling the BBB and the FTC to put a complaint in. If they keep calling keep putting complaints in and some people have walked away with money for these companys harrassing you.   I hope this helps, do it with everyone!

Keep getting calls from this number and I keep asking them to stop calling.  It is getting anoying.  I want these calls to stop.

I just got a call from this number 212-738-9283 called ID said Unavailable ( 1/5/08 at 11:27am) and it was an automated message call.It was for this auto warranty scam ,but the message just kept playing of some lady talking about this vehicle warranty stuff.I hung up ,picked the phone up a minute later and the recorded message of her voice was still talking.

received a missed call from this...message says to press 1 to speak to a warrenty specialist...and 3 to cancel this.  I hate spam calls like this...there is no way that my warrenty has run out since I just purchased my car 2 months ago.

Dan, from vehicle warranty options.  "Just the front man who answers and verifies eligiility" has "nothing to do with calling", would not remove from list, very rude, hung up on me.
