Ross calling from the Phoenix Company asking to speak to someone, sounded like a telemarketer so I kept asking questions. They were rude and said just get me the person I will hold, so I hung up.

my husband was told by a Mike Garroutte..said he was a fedral fraud investigator and that we had 30 min to get ahold of our lawyer or they would issue a warrant for his arrest ...first of all this is a civil matter and you don't go to jail for civil matters

This jennifer called me from this # with a deadline time for me to call her back or a warrant would be issued for my arrest.....What!  So I didn't get this message until the next day which was past the deadline time that was left in message. They are accusing me of bank fraud and my bank doesn't know a thing about what this William Scott & Assoc is talking about. I have been scared out of my mind until I Googled company and found this site. I still must find out what kind of debt this could be. From what I have been reading about this 3RD PARTY DEBT COLLECTION COMPANY; they may be calling about an old payday loan. Here is the kicker.....Back then I did a settlement offer with someone and debt was paid through my bank account at that time. Now I've got to dig up my record for that payment in case something fake is going on. I am so relieved to know that I'm not going to be arrested. Another thing, they still have not returned my call. Funny to me now. Whew! Gotta love Google.

This person called me on my cell using my maiden name. He said I was going to be arrested for check fraud. He was very unprofessional and refused to answer my question. I ask him to send me some ppr work. He tried to get my current address. He hung up saying "good luck being arrested"

Calls and states a warrant has been issued for my arrest due to an old payday loan years ago.States my county DA and Sheriff have been notified and will be picking me up shortly. They didnt take into account that I am friends with Both and have called them..This is fraudulent company.

A man named Scott Wells called claiming the same things to my aunt and uncle who he said were my parents. My FATHER then called him back and he didn't even know how to spell our last name correctly but claimed I owed money on a contract?? Stated the same things he is going to place a warrant for my arrest etc. Luckily my father is smart enough to know if they can't spell our name which is easy there is no contract. He called from a number out of NY this time however, 212-776-3124 ext 138. About 2 mo ago I got the same kind of call from a Victor Golden and Angel Scheffield out of Atlanta, GA for the same company?? Don't let them upset you because even if you owe a debt there is due process and NO ONE can just issue a warrant for your arrest without going through the process.

I have been receiving phone calls at my home from a "Ms. Jones" at William Scott & Associates. She said that I was involved in internet fraud and that I need to call her back or legal action will be taken against me. The alleged internet fraud took place in 11/2005. Its true that there is a statue of limitations--6 years in my state. My husband spoke to "Ms. Jones" and asked her to send us something in writing. She said "No, we don't do that". Next thing you know they actually did send something in the mail. It is a Loan Note and Disclosure form but if you look carefully there is NO signature on it, NO bank name, and NO account number. Hmmm, that's probably because it is a SCAM. Don't be fooled people. Even if they send you something in the mail pretending to be legitmate, sent it to your lawyer. And whatever you do, please, PLEASE DO NOT CALL THEM. All they want is to try to weasle out of you the tiniest bit of personal information about you so that they can keep this scam going. Take heed to the posts above. Just be calm and know that it is a scam for sure. I also confirmed that there are multiple complaints on the BBB website. And the whole thing just smells like a SCAM.

This company just called my NEW phone number asking my sister for me telling her that I was being investigated for check fraud. I call back to speak with an Investigator Scott, I asked him did he call and he said yes and I asked was this a company located in Georgia, was it the same company claiming to be a law firm, was this the same company that I reported to the bar in the state of Georgia and was this indeed an collection agency. HE HUNG UP. lol

TYhese folks at william scott & assoc. are totally bogus. They break all kinds of laws trying to get funds from people that may/may not be legally owed debts. They are abusive and scream at you too. They even screamed and threatened my best friend who is supposedly a "reference" on the account. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD OR AGREE TO WIRE THEM MONEY!!! I filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Georgia Attorney General's Office and Georgia's Governor of Consumer Affairs because this is where the calls came from. The same complaints can also be filed in your home state.

Some lady clamming she is from William Scott & Assoc.... Something about a loan debt from a former bank account I had.... She started nameing off stuff and telling me where I lived and that I was about to be charged with internet fraud, and some other things that I can not remember. I don't recall the debt but the information she was talking about is pretty acurate other than were I live.

Just received voicemail from "Senior Investigator Rogers" looking for associate of Lisa Davis.  Said she was "being investigated for check fraud and it wasn't looking good by any means necessary."   Left call back number 866-533-1894 x106 and to reference docket# 125810 but caller ID showed 212-776-3124.  Gimmie a break.  He tried to sound like a tough cop too LOL.

Just got a voicemail from Investigator Kelly Saunders ... something about bad check writing by a chick named Darlene Ortiz ... I am not her, nor do I know her. She gave a different number to call back, than the one that appeared on my caller ID. Whatever ... must be a scam.

Total Scam!!!  same as the others that report - only 48 hour timeframe to get money to settle a check fraud case or a warrant will be issued.  DONT SEND THEM ANY MONEY.  they will call everyone that is connected to you that they can find on the internet and try to get those people to help you out and send the money on your behalf. they called on a supposed debt from 2006. No money owed here, doesn't even show this debt on our credit report but "investigator wells" said oh well this wouldnt show on your credit report!!  everything shows on a credit report!!this guy says a playment plan is not what they want - they want only larger sums of cash.  scam, scam, scam.  dont believe 'em!!

He said mine was from is from 5/2006 I have tried to find info on them NOTHING. I did go to my state assembly page and look up the stute of limitations for this and in my state it is 6 years. Which was this past May, So I'm not sure what this Rizzo is trying to do?

Mr.Rizzo is calling me daily at my job and speaking to my co-workers.  I have asked for their mailing address to send a certified check and they only accept credit card or wire transfer.  I have researched William Smith & Associates and it does not exist.

Do you have any info on this company? Fraudulent practices how do you know did you look into them? Just curious because they have called me and family members about something he said was 5-6 years ago?

Look up the 888-229-5566 number they leave.  This idiot called my mom and said I was being investigated and needed to call them immediately or face charges.  Huh?  First of all they called and asked for me using my maiden name.  Been married for years so what the hell.  Anyway got my mom all worked up.  This is supposedly a debt collection company Williams & ?.  Don't even bother calling them back.  Fraudulent company and practices are against the law.  I'm pretty sure they don't have the sheriff in my town on speed dial.
