There is an app for cell phones called CALL CONTROL and it gives you the option of blocking calls that are not in your phone contact list so it gives you the numbers to all these SCAMMERS and how many times they call so that they can be reported to the FTC as I have done.

Unwanted call for unknown source.

What about the people that want you to put money on a greendot card so they can "check your credit"? I've thought about giving them a bogus card number, I've got several old MasterCard and Visa gift cards with like $.25 on them. I wonder how fast they would call you back if they couldn't get to your money! Unfortunately I don't care enough to try it. Just don't have the time... Maybe next summer...

I also have been receiving numerous calls from all different types of numbers. I don't answer them as I'm in class teaching all day long. My daughter, who is in college has been sick so I've kept my phone near me in case she needs me. All day long my phone has been going off with number after number. The same number will call up to 10 times in a row. I check out each number on this blog and DO NOT answer. However they keep calling! There has got to be a better way. I have a widows phone and have not found a call blocking app for it. I already need a new battery and it won't hold a charge past noon with these annoying numbers calling constantly. Anyone have any suggestions?

Steve, you are mistaken. I have been receiving numerous calls soliciting me for payday loans. I have never used these types of services, nor title loans, nor any other type of similar product. I have had my same cell phone number for over 15 years, so it's not the previous owner of my cell number....if there even is one. These companies are robocalling various numbers and if they get someone to answer, it validates to them they have a potential victim. At that point they inundate that number with numerous phone calls. You can't turn them into the FTC, because they are spoofing their caller ID number and location. If you ask them for their company name or a valid call back number they hang up, because they realize you are onto them. You stated that people must have done business with the payday loan companies in the past and thats why they are receiving these calls. You go onto say that if you don't want the calls, don't do business with them. I didn't do business with them....did you? Why are you on this page? I received calls, I googled the number trying to track them down.

The best way to get these people not to call you is do not apply for a payday loan to begin with..problem solved..they do not call you out of the blue..you had to have applied for a payday laon or they would not be calling you..

This number pulse others have called me all day long and  won't  stop asking about a lone which I've never applied for how do I get them to stop

I receive over 20 calls a day from this number asking for a person (not me).  Then they hang up.  What do I do to stop this.  It's disrupting my job.  How do I report and to whom?  HELP !!!!

These people keep calling & calling, asking for a person who is not known to me.  I've told them repeatedly that this person is not @ my number and have requested by phone number be taken off their "list".  Obviously, my requests have been ignored.  The persons calling do not speak English very well and are difficult to understand.  Harassment @ its best!

I just cant believe they pay people money to call and harass people all day. I have received over 30 calls in the past 2 days. Where I went wrong is letting my best friend finally answer and say NO thank you not interested. Claimed it was for a pre-approved loan.  It is ridiculous that they are allowed to harass people in this manner.

This company uses multiple numbers, and will call every 20 minutes. I have started using fake SSN and fake bank account numbers. Some banks may be willing to work with you to help catch these criminals by setting up "trap" account numbers that the scammers then try to steal money from.

It's possible that these criminals can be extradited to the U.S. and face stiff jail time and penalties in an American court of law--and they won't have the protection of being U.S. citizens.

receiving calls from and a few other numbers; about 3 a day for the past 3 days.  sometimes they hang up when I say hello; other times they ask for some foreign name; other times they want to offer me a loan.

I've been getting these scam calls at work all day, caller ID shows "NFP." I answered once and asked for a phone number to call him back at, the guy with the Indian accent stuttered and stammered and hung up.

this number and several like it have been calling for two days now.I answered  it is a india type voice ask for my and claims to offer me a loan I have told them do not call back not interested but doaen,t seem t help yesterday I logged 23 calls  today so far 5. When will this stop. I have taken my ringer off as I cannot stand it anymore.  How do I get them to stop.

the caller id said NFP, he asked about borrowing 1,000 loan told him not interested and not to call again.

This man also has been calling me with the same message about offering me $1000.00 from Unified Lender. I asked (or told him) this evening not to call me any more and I wanted my phone number off his list and he told me no. So he called back about three more times but I just pushed the end button without answering. I want his calls to stop as I took this as a threat. Any suggestions?

Caller claiming to be with a Payday Lender offering me $1000.00, wanted my personal information. I informed them that I am on the do not call list, i was not interested, never to call me again, and then hung up.

The man said he was from Unified Lender.  He waned my work information, my salary information, and then my bank information so he could "give" me $1,000.  I played along to get more information as I have been called by this number and several others around 30 times today - all of a sudden.  He said that his company has done "research" of people in my area, which is why he called me to offer my a payday advance.  I told him I make enough not to need it and hung up.

This number keeps calling my cell, no msg.  When I call back its an automated voice saying this system is temporarily unable to complete this call.  Scammers...
