Since the FCC and the FTC and the DO NOT CALL LIST and the new ROBO CALLING law that will go into effect next year DO NOT WORK, I am going to solve this problem on my own! I went out today and bought an AIR HORN made by Falcon Signal Horns. I bought it at a boat supply company. It cost $15.00, but if it eliminates ALL these calls, it will be worth EVERY single penny! As soon as I tell them to put ME on THEIR DO NOT CALL LIST, I am going to blast the horn in their ear! MAYBE then they will either find a NEW JOB or put my phone number on THEIR do not call list! However, why would I think that would work since they shouldn't have called me in the first place! I have been on the DO NOT CALL List since the day it FIRST started!

They DON'T check it, the government does nothing about it except give you LIP SERVICE! If OBAMA got these calls on his private line time after time after time from "RACHAEL FROM CREDIT CARD SERVICES", you can be sure that the secret service would take the source of that call down in 10 minutes or LESS! Since we don't count for anything, they tell US there is NOTHING they can do or ATT can do or the FTC can do or the FCC can do etc. IT'S ALL A JOKE!

Same, a "David Ratner" @ 9:47 AM; we did not answer.
I suggest filing complaints online with the FCC @ http://www.fcc.gov/complaints;
Note that there are schemes wherein a phony caller ID & name can be made to show on a recipient's phone (web search "phony caller id").

Just got a cell from this number. It is to supposedly to  lower my credit card rate.
I get these calls frequently on 3 separate numbers. If you ask them not to call again, they hang up.
I have decided to take matters into my own hands. I have placed  a whistle on the table by the phone and from now on, I am going to push 9 to speak to a rep. and then I am gonna blast their eardrum.
Probably won't stop the calls but it will give me a little satisfaction.

Got a call from  this number today (March 6) at 3:36 pm.I did not answer as I do not know a David Ratner.  Left no message.

i got this call a few minutes ago as well and the guy was like i understand you want to lower your intrest rates on your card and i was no i sure dont i want to know who in the hell has a credit card in my name being i dont own one and he said i do believe we have the wrong number in return i said i dont think you do being you call me all the time and when i ask what kind of card someone has in my name i get hung up on and in return he said im sorry maam and hung up on me! These a***oles need to get lost fall off a cliff or just become a suicide bomber in their own work place so they will stop bugging you and i! UGH Sorry for the rant but to be interrupted over something this damn stupid pisses me off and there is nothing we can do about it!

There's no one there when you answer because it is an abandoned call, they just want to know the time of day when a human answers. They will call you tomorrow or the next day at the same time but there will be a telemarketer the next time. The thinking is, "Why should I pay people to make calls, I'll let the robodialer determine when someone is at home", and they don't care that you are pissed off. They will NEVER stop calling, and you can't call them back because they are on a trunk line, they have many numbers to call from, but the one hat shows up on the caller ID goes no where.
 The phone company does not care because they sell thousands of numbers for a fee to people in Hong Kong; the people in Hong Kong then re-sell them to telemarketers in the U.S. The telemarketers use a number for two weeks, lets say 212-876-5431, and then they move to the next number, 212-876-5432 just in case the Attorney General is barraged with calls about the 5431 number. Since it's no longer being used the investigation stops. The phone company WILL NOT give out information to the AG without a court order and since the 5431 was only used for 2 weeks, then it's no longer inservice and no calls are being made because they've moved on to the 5432 number. Which they will use for 2 weeks before moving on to the 5433 number.
  Call your Congressman/woman/homosexual because they make the laws. Here's why they won't do anything: Because Congress allows themselves to make robocalls because they *feel* like they are more important. And, just to make you feel like you shouldn't be complaining about Congress robocalls, they will also allow charities to make calls. Its like Congress telling you that YOU have to pay into Social Security but they don't because they have their own (very generous) retirement package. Or telling you that YOU can't engage in insider trading but Pelosi can, and did.

Just got a call from this number, name was David Ratner. Did not pick up and no message.

Got a call from this number on a cell phone, when we tried to call it back, says it's disconnected!  Called back less than 5 min after that number called us!  So irritating!

I just got the same call from the same person. I did NOT dial "9" because I am aware that dialing that "9" gives a great deal of information about you to the telemarketer or "Whoever" that you want to remain private. I did dial the 2128765432 number and gt the message that the phone had been disconnected.

Rec'd a call this morning from "David Ratner" did not recognize the name or number so I did not answer.

This number comes up with a caller id for me....it states David Ratner

Just called the number back to see who it was and damn if the voice on the other line says number doesn't exist...How in the hell are the calling from numbers that are valid with the phone companies?!?!?! I am pretty sick of this.  I put all three of our numbers on the don't call list but we keep getting them.

Just received a call at 12:54 on my home phone and it was sent to my email at work.  No message left.  Caller ID showed David Ratner 212-876-5432.

Just called my house. Caller I.D. said the number was 212-876-5432 from a David Ratner. Left no message.

nwyrcyzn01  ny is what it said on caller id. It means nothing obviously and look at the number...876-5432 -must be spoofed. Answering machine was not on, so it rang for a long time and then they hung up.

It's a Telemarketer - prescription eyewear ? - hung up before message finished.

yeap.. I got the call Monday March 5 2012 at 12:01 PM... daviv ratner is on my hit list now.
