I got a call and they left a very nice voice mail.  I have never done business with IQPC (www.iqpc.com) but they said they wanted to verify my information about some upcoming event in Chicago.

Got 2 phones calls from 2 different numbers but the same guy (gave a different name each call) and he won't stay on the phone if he doesn't get the person he is asking for and if I am asking for his name and company so I can put him into VM he won't leave one. I asked again for his info and he got more upset. I told we don't take calls from people that won't say who or where they are calling from.
I hung up. He calls back from the new number and says why did you hang up on me. I said he was being rude and yelling at me and it is not professional. He said hanging up on me was not professional. Well so is someone wanting to talk to someone but won't give there information.
I said don't call again or I will contact the police. I hope that is the end of it.

I didn't expect a call from this number, so let it go to voice mail. Just bulk telemarketing for conferences.

A woman wanted to speak to one of our managers about an event.  I said company procedure was to send invitations through the mail and that I would give her the address.  She said they issued invitations by phone only.  When I repeated the policy, she said she'd find another way and hung up.

I recommend that no one does any business with IQPC.  I did three shows with them last year and got spammed and harassed by them to no end.  I rarely will say I hate an organization but these bone heads are below dog crap on the street.  Shows are bad for sponsors and bad for attendee's.  Run away..

I think it's a call center and I surmise that they make calls for many of their customers.  My call was about an engineering conference to be held in my area in a few weeks. (I had read one of their eMails about the conference 2 months ago and that's how they found me.)

Capitalism stops at the telephone that I pay the bills on. It is not anyone else's personal sales tool or utility. It takes more than 2 seconds to put on hold something that I may be doing,  rush to the phone, tell them "not interested"  then go back to what I was doing. Not my fault that they put on a million dollar conference but are too cheap to utilize adequate and suitable advertising, without expecting me to provide my time and services for their profits. I have a sole proprietor print shop that I operate out of my home. When you call me,  I have to shut down a press, stop a print run,  and rush to the phone. Then I have to recondition the rollers and solutions to restart the press run.  You don't think that costs me time and money???

They put on trade shows, stop with all the bashing. Everyone is so pissed at capitalism yet when it comes calling on them, they feel offended. It's easy; say, "not interested", hang up. You spent 2 seconds out of your infinitely important day to return to angry birds.
These folks put on million dollar conferences and I'm sure if it was your trade organization you would want a company working hard to fill your ticket and attendance dollars as well. Relax people life is too short.

Called about military sales.

When I told him we weren't interested, I just couldn't get him off the phone. He would just not take no for an answer. Finally I had to say that I was going to hang up, and that finally shut him up.

Not a good experience, not at all.

Ex Employee.

They are a horrible organization http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/IQPC-Reviews-E222702.htm

Boiler Room... They don't use CRM systems and can't take you off a list.

They will keep calling and calling. They don't care if it's a cell phone or anything.

Call back and ask for Rob Shannon (Managing Director)

Or call for Simon Copcutt, and bother them day in and day out.

I saw the number come up and didn't recognize it.  I NEVER answer calls when I don't recognize the number or if they are not part of my address book.  It's avery simple and effective practice.  If you want me, then leave a message.  That's why we have voice mail.

I just sent an email to Ms. O'Mahony of IQPC who posted earlier in this thread and requested that our company be removed from their lists.  She responded within 5 minutes stating that she would do so.

IF we continue to receive calls after a week, I will re-post the failure here.

Her email info is here: caitriona.o'mahony@iqpc.com

mofos just called me, twice in a row, back to back. I always ignore calls from unknown numbers. After checking here they went straight to my reject list. I won't ever hear from them again. I don't know what happened. For years I never got any unwelcomed calls and lately I've been getting them very frequently. Some a-hole got ahold of my number and added it to some lists. Question is why. Is there still enough people out there stupid enough to answer these calls to make it worthwhile? Amazing.

I called these people two weeks ago and found out they were telemarketers involved with trade show promotion. I told them that I wasn't remotely interested and asked to be put on their do not call list. I was assured that they would do so. The bleeping calls continue to come through every bleeping week. Living 4,000 miles away precludes taking drastic action. Maybe someone in Manhattan could please go down and tear out their bleeping phone lines.Or start a spam campaign. The contact info is:

I have also been contacted repatedly by IQPC despite requesting to be removed from any lists!! Not sure why the marketing bottom feeder Caitriona O Mahoney (above) thinks that this is a good place to give generic cut and paste marketing apology babble and to invite people to their website?

They called (here at a business) and no one was on the other line.

One trick I use if I get an unsolicited call on my cell is I add them to a contact called F^&* Off, and then I know anytime that pops up, to not answer... If your phone can support that many numbers for one contact, anyways!
