Got a text message at 2:40AM from this number giving me a "code" number. Not sure what for.

it was for a political survey. It seemed like it was for Democrats, Kept asking if the President was doing a good job, about his policies and how you would vote.Surveyor had a very heavy accent and it was hard to understand some of his questions the first time. It was kind of interesting to be polled, since I am a political junkie. At the end of the call I asked him the name of the comapny again, it sounded like he said, Pacific Research or Specific Research. I googled the number and website came up. Thought I'd report in case anyone else wants to be polled if they are called.

You probably can't sue but you can file a complaint.  First you need to tell them not to call again.  You can email them at contact@mwrcenter.com.  Once you tell them to stop they are required to.  If not then file a complaint.  I'm in PA and have been getting the calls too.  I have emailed them and so far no more calls...

This company has called at least 4 times in one day.  Twice within an hour of being asked not to call again and have my number removed.

Their website states:

Since your opinions and experiences are of such a high value we will respect your requests. *****We keep an internal list of households that do not wish to be contacted concerning any research matter regardless of the topic. Called twice around 8PM Mountain Time.

THey called here in Orlando, did not leave a message.  Called on Sunday at 3pm

Two calls tonight -- election night -- from 231-224-2031, at 7:04 and 8:25 P.M., before and after the polls closed.  I thought they were political, probably push polls, and didn't answer.  I'm also on the national do-not-call list, but it doesn't matter.

They do push polls for politicians. They were fined $20,000 in NH back in 2010.

They claim they are taking a local survey ... Calls are almost non-stop since I moved. I requested to be put on the "Do Not Call" list, but every time I request this the woman on the other end hangs up on me.

They did say it was for some research group.Been calling me a couple times a day on my cell phone. Even in the middle of the night. I asked them to stop calling and got hung up on. Lets see if they call back.

These people call me everyday during dinner, I've politely ask to have my number removed but they keep calling.  I assume they call themselves a non-profit to get around do not call lists.  Next time they call I will do my best to totally waste their time and give them bad data as they have wasted mine.

I took a call from this number at 10/23/2010 10:40 a.m. Saturday in regards to General Election Nov 2, 2010 Asked me what county of I lived in in Arkansas which I told him.......I answered ALL questions about AR people rtunning for State and Federal offices this year. After I finished was ask Name and verified my phone number.

I'm in San Diego.  I received a call from this number after 8 PM this evening.  I didn't recognize the caller ID "Research Center", so I didn't answer the call.  The caller just hung up on my answering machine and didn't leave a message.

YES, I'm also on the "Do Not Call" list but there are so many loopholes that these guys get around it.

It's probably not worth the cost of a call to tell them to take me off their list because past experience with this type of thing tells me it's a waste of time--they don't actually take you off their list.

These guys called at 10pm PST and there was no one there. When I tried calling back, no one there.

Keep getting calls from this number but nobody says anything when I answer.

I called this number: Phone: 208.232.1818  ext. 7603 and spoke to a man named Jesse.  He was very nice and assured me that my number would be taken off of the calling list.  I hope this helps!

1-213-224-2031 called my phone.. was mountain west research.. I called it back to give them hell for calling my cell phone.. no way to get through.. sacks of ****  I am on the do not call list.. im sure I was hooked into signing something from buying a new car or something that gave them the loop hole to bug the sh** outa me.

I got a call from this number this evening.  I did talk to a guy.  He said he called from Karen's Group in Minneapolis.  He asked several survey questions that were biased against the DFL party.  He said he was neutral, but obviously he was not.  I tried to search the Karen's group online, but I couldn't find it.  The caller ID says "Research Center."

I suggest that anyone who gets calls from this number does the saMe thing. This has to be stopped.

Person or computer called, but was silent on the other end of the line.  I called the number back and got a messsage from Mountain West Research Center.
