got an automated call from "Wells Fargo" told me to press one to help with a fraulant item on my account. I don't have a Wells Fargo account.

This number called me three times in 10 minutes. I did not have my phone on me. I'm glad I did not call it back.

I've been getting calls, mostly blocked numbers but today it was from 213-271-9624 with the same message.... it's the sound of a lion or tiger growling. I have three voice messages of this lion sound for at least 3 minutes each and that's all you can hear on the message. It's a rather poor imitation of a lion in my opinion. Anyway just thought I would mention it. Don't know if anyone else has received this type of call with the sound of a lion. I don't know what they expect from this foolishness!!!

We get these calls almost every day

We got this call at our office two days in a row, once a man called and asked for someone who works here by name.  When I transferred the call it sounded like he started crying.  We thought it was some weird prank.  The next day a woman who identified herself as Jessica from New York City Hospital called asking for the same guy.  When I asked her for a call back number she hung up.  Both had heavy accents and the number is always blocked.  If anyone knows what this is all about please post.  I don't get what the scam is?

A person called twice from this number today saying they were from King's Creek Plantation (timeshares) - they've selected me for a "vacation".  They hang up as soon as you start to say "take me off your calling list".

This person called twice from a blocked number, then a third time from this number, all within five minutes.

First call: heavy accent, noise in the background, asking for someone who is only tangentially related to this phone number. I said that person isn't here and asked what they needed. The caller then wanted to confirm our business name. I refused and asked who he was and where he was from. He told me he was "Eddie Murphy" from "New York City Hospital" regarding an emergency. I responded by saying I was calling the police and hung up.

Second call: Asked me if I had called the FBI yet. I told him to stop calling or I would.

Third call: "Have you called the FBI yet?" (Laughing.) "No, but I will now that I have your number." That seems to have stopped the calls.

Clearly a prank or a really, really bad phishing scheme.

Called twice from a blocked number asking for someone who isn't associated with our office. The first time he claimed to be Eddie Murphy from New York City Hospital regarding an emergency. He wanted to know what our company name was and asked for this information repeatedly. The first time I told him to hang up or I'd call the police. The second time he asked me if I had called the FBI yet. The third time he called from this number and again asked me if I had called the FBI. All of these calls took place within five minutes. The caller had a very heavy accent and there were other people in the background.

Now that I have a phone number I might just call the FBI...thanks for the idea, "Eddie Murphy from New York City Hospital."

Got a call from this number. Male on the line calling as a courtesy before an officer is sent out to serve me papers. The officer will make a copy of my ID and my signature. When I questioned this procedure he quickly hung up.

There is clearly some sort of major scam going on... people have been calling non-stop for months now, claiming to be calling from "Nimsoft"... what kills me is apparently it's a real company and these losers managed to obtain the names of our employees.  Funny enough, these losers also called here 4 times in 5 minutes (4 different people I might add) asking for various employees, and saying they are an assistant to "Andy Tells, Tellis, Telus?(i can't tell, none of them speak english well enough)

This is a crock of crap....DO NOT give any information to these people. IT IS A SCAM!!! This # called our office today twice trying to get information saying that they had been hired by someone else to do an investigation. GET A REAL JOB PEOPLE!

This guy called me and had me call him back on a 888 area code number, then for him to tell me that I was going to be going to court unless I would pay him 25% of what I owed right now, in which case the amount wasnt right either. As I told him that I cant be taken to court due to a credit card debt I heard his buddy in the back ground laughing.. Seems a little weird to me. Anyway he informed me that If I do not pay he will see me in court and Ill have to pay more, so we will see I guess. This guy also knew the last 4 of my SS, and 2 of my previous addresses, Very Scary..I will post again here after awhile to let all know if I actully got served or not...

This was from Microsoft asking about my status with their partner network, of which I am a member. Totally legit.

This guy calls us everyday from (213) 271-9624 - he says he is Chris Wensowski and sounds like the people from the Wizard of Oz that sing "we represent the Lollipop Guild" or like when someone sucks on helium and sings.....what a weird message.

When I tried to call him back no one would pick up!

I seen that someone from 213-271-9624 called while we were out because the number was on our caller ID. When I called back I got a recorded message that the number had been disconnected. When you look this number up on the reverse look-up all it says is it belongs to a landline and you have to pay to get the owners information. Why would I pay for a number that when you call back it says its been disconnected?

The caller asked for my bussiness address He said he was from Google earth. I gave him the address and he hung up. That struck me as wrong. So I callede the # back and it said it was dissconected.?

I just got a call from this number and it was trying to appear as if they were calling from my bank.....DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO....JUST HANG UP!! It is one of those SCAM CALLLERS

I got a call on my cell phone from this number. No message was left. when I tried to call it back, to see who it was, i would get a recording saying " can not complete call check number and try again

Got a call, answered...no one replied...hung up.. dialed it back  and got "the number you have dialed cannot be reached"  Seems to bea Los Angeles CA landline...which I won't pay to get the name and address....

Got a call from 213-271-9624, a recorded message said that my Debit card had been deactivated. Clearly it had not been, I don't have an account at the bank that they named. It is an automated call and asks you to press one for security services.

Received a call from this # as well but the return # they gave my co-worker was #800-304-0974 ext 104. The lady that called left ALOT of personal info w/my co-worker re:A serious matter & deadline date & case/ref #! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE COLLECTING FOR?

I recevied a call from this number looking for a person, that I have no idea who he is, the guy said this guy needs to be here to accept these documents I said I am sorry but I have not idea who this person is.. So then the guy gets really really rude and said well your just lying now... Needless to say he was told off

They ask for an individual and stated that they had a lawsuit pending, gave an 800 number and case number. Since I did not know the person I threw the number away.

Got a call from this number for our daughter who hadn't lived in our home for over 20 years.  It was the same civil suit story; gave a phone number and case number; said to call if more information was needed.  My answer was if this was a legitimate case they would have the current information.

I received a call from this number last night.  He identified my last name then asked for my landlord.  When told he couldn't be reached at this (my) number he asked if this was a structural engineering company (NO!).  He apologized and said that his contact list must be "out of order".  Weird.
