Shawn Martin claiming that I owe them monies, won't tell me why or how much until I have my
attorney of record call.   Doesn't seem to understand English or listen when you ask questions as
to the whys etc of the call.   Of Asian/India accent.  Harrassing at work and on my cell phone.

I keep getting  phone calls from this number and I do not know why they keep calling me. I can not understand the person that keeps leaving a message on my answering machine. I do owe any money to these people and I need for them to stop harrassing me. I will not answer the phone when they call. I am also not going to return the phone calls. Please help me.

I have been getting the same phone calls and I can not understand what the person is saying on the answering machine. I do not answer the phone calls because I do not know who is calling me. The phone number just says Los Angeles,CA. I do not owe any money to these people and I already reported them. I have 5 messages from them.

American Legal Services, representing Cash Net USA or Speedy Cash.

In neither cases, do these companies state they have a relationship with American Legal Services.

In my case, I contacted my local Sheriff's office, and gave them the phone number and recordings.  The main reason behind this is because they threatened my kids (good luck to your kids, was the ending message they sent me).

The police recommend  you just block their numbers and ignore them.  This is a true scam.

You cannot block the numbers because every week they show up with another number.  They now are using a local area code to call in my area.  I have received these calls from 6 different numbers in the last 4 months.  I sent it to the Attorney General's Office and they said I need an address for the company of course when you talk with them on the telephone they will not give you any information neither will send you anything, does anyone have the address for the company?.

Just got the same call here at my office, Ted Miller of American Law Division, just another overseas scam. My question is how can they have state side numbers and make threats like this? It is just not right!

got several calls today from this number saying the same thing. i saw something about this on my local news in richmond so i told the indian accented rep that I knew it was a "SCAM". He then said, "no you are a scam B!&$H and hung up.  When I called back and told them I was going to get them for harrassment, I was put on hold and then the call was disconnected.  Do not give these people any personal information.  If you have taken out a  payday loan online or in stores whether it's paid off or not, DO NOT GIVE THESE SCUMS ANY PERSONAL INFO.  They will tell you, you have an outrageous balance and tell you it will need to be paid or they are going to have you arrested.  No bill collectors can arrest you for not paying.  Furthermore, ask them to contact you by mail.

I have received the same now they are even using a local number 256-676-3074 they call one right behind the other although when I told them the calls were being recorded which is the truth as I work for the government.  I do not know how they go my information but they refuse to send anything out to you I have received no emails only phone calls and the email address they referenced has not been active for a while.  I wish someone could find a way to stop this mess.  If you have any suggestions please post.

Getting a lot of calls from this number. I never pick up. I know it's a scammer. I've been getting scam calls, due to the fact of getting scammed in June '2010.
Everyone beware. You can also file an online internet complaint at www.toogoodtobetrue.com - I have several complaints there myself.
These people are based out of India, and somehow someway they get USA area codes and just start dialing. Be careful!

Apparently no one is safe from these people. It is a complete scam. They couldn't answer any of my questions. Within the time it took me to listen to the threatening voicemail they left me they had already called and threatened my wife and local branch for the company I work for in my civilian job. I've gotten all the same things from the previous reports including the "god help you" statement and the not being able to answer any questions. only difference is the female voice gave the name Nancy Smith. I would say between the 3 of us we've easily gotten 10+ calls from them all within 20 minutes. I don't even know how they got any of the #'s since i don't put any of them on any kind of form. The best advice i can give the next victim is to tell them to stop calling everyone they are calling to get a hold of you and to file a police report immediately if one hasn't been made yet and tell them that you have. That last part seemed to stop all calls right away and managed to get them to hang up on me. Another funny part is they sure didn't realise what they were doing is LEGALLY considered harassment for a legal division. Just food for thought.

This IS a scam.......ask the for validation of your debt.  They will not be able to provide 3 basic items:  name of the original loan company, amount borrowed and the date the loan was taken out.  If they can not provide this to you in WRITING they are a scam....

I just received a call from this firm (American Law Division) stating I owed their client money for an unpaid loan from a Cash Advance firm.  They stated they had emailed me several times and called with no response.  There is no loan and there were no emails or calls before today.  They stated I would soon be receiving papers from them - I demanded information as to who their client is, what the supposed loan amount was, when it occurred.  I was then hung up on.  I called back three times to get additional information with hang ups or no answer.  They stated I had better get my attorney to work on this as I would soon be in court as I have failed to take care of my debt.   They gave me an address of 11000 Shelwire Ste. 700 Los Angeles CA  94200    How did they get my information?

Had the same thing happen to me today. Kept calling over and over, I counted 25+ calls from them.
Just hit the # key on your phone and keep it down, it will put a loud noise in their ears. They call using different numbers 213 373-1768 or 213 537-3896. If you call back *67 your number then dial. They will answer the phone, Hello can  I help you. Any ligitimate business will answer with a greeting. Check the post on American Law Division non existant. The 213 area code is out of Los Angeles. Reading from script heavy Indian accent, telling you at the end if you don't call them Only God Can Help You Now.
Threatening and harassing. Don't bother to even engage them, but do record the calls and file a complaint with the FTCP on line and local police. Probably can even trace them as they are using disposable cell phones and change their numbers frequently. Next call I get from them goes to the FBI as a complaint. I've had it with these people and their harassment and aggrevating calls.

Watch out for these scammers claiming to be American Law Division. They have numerous complaints against them. Using other number of 213 537-3896. Received over 35 calls within 10 minutes from them on both my cell and work line. They do nothing but threaten and harass you and read from a script ending with if you do not call them back Only God Can Help You Now, speak very very bad Englsih most likely Idian accents. File a complaint with the FTCP every time they call you. They use cell phones which they use for a certain period of time then get new phones with new numbers. They will not listen to you, just keep reading from a script they have.

They are not legal from all the posts I've read. I've filed police reports, and with other agencies as well.
Do not give them any information. Next time they call, get a loud whistle and blow it in their ears. Maybe they will get the message.

This number called my work phone 35 times in one hour today.  I politely asked "Rose Williams" and "John Smith" to stop harressing me at work.

This man keeps calling me at work and using obscene language. Telling me I owe monies and I will be sued, and etc...
I don't even have a loan out there. So I am very puzzled. Everyone, watch out for this, it may be a scam!

im so sick of diff people from diff companies calling my cell phone and work phone.  now this guy from american law division from # 213-373-1768 is calling saying they have a a judgement against me and if i dont call back to settle this matter all he can do is wish me good luck. im so sick of every week its someone new. dont they have better things to do?
