Call blocker is your best bet.  You can't stop them from initiating the calls since they are located in India.

received several calls about legal matters from the U S Treasury dept. his name was Mike Taylor did some research found it to be a scam shame on you whoever is doing this!!!!!!!! Get a real job.

Yes, I just emailed them to report this after having it out majorly with this guy, and alerted them that I've been getting these phone calls. I've now blocked both numbers from calling me.

All day today I have been receiving these threatening phone calls from a so called Caroline from Legal Affairs of the Treasury Dept? Very suspicious..I have received these calls before and as soon as I tell them I know they are trying to scam me, they get hostile and start calling me names and threatening with very explicit comments...How do I block these calls? Those losers need to be caught and brought to justice for trying to scare people... I am sure they have tricked some into paying them..

This woman by the name of carol called leaving a message that it was imparative that I call them right back.  I called and talked with a Daniel Rich ID# 11938  Eh told me that I had a warrant out for my arrest from the IRS AND THE US TRESeary dept for unpaid taxes from 2005-2008.  He was telling me that as soon as I hung up the phone there would be a warrant issued for my arrest and they wouldbe her within 30 minutes to take me to jail.  They wanted to know my attorney info. I told them that I would call my attorney have them call him back he was very upset and said that I had the most of 30 minutes in which to have them call him back or the police would be at my door to arrest me.  We will see what happens because I simply hungup on him when he said I owed 5600 dollars in back taxes.

This idiot will not let up. I invited him to come arrest me. Then was told I'll be arrested within the hour for threatening a Treasury employee. What a pain in the a**!!!

Well, that idiot called again. Today, his name is Steve Boske. I asked him what happened to John Anderson and Russell Reed. Told him I researched the phone number then hung up on him. He called right back, but I didn't answer. If he calls again, I will let him listen to my garbage disposal.

Well, this guy is still at it. He left a msg on my house phone this morning spewing the same crap.

Yes, I got the same message as the others above - Indian speaking person with a message.  However, I could not understand half of what he was saying - LOL.  I recognized some words but honestly, if they really wanted someone to call back they should AT LEAST speak clearly! Duh

I NEVER pick up the phone anymore and my printer allows me to view faxes so now I get to DELETE all the trash faxes that used to come through.  :-)

This man is persistent in calling our house and claiming to be from the US Treasury Dept. and that they are threatening to take legal action.

I have reported this to the treasury with no response. "John Anderson" has called a dozen times

Someone by the name of John Anderson and Russell Reed called from this number with thick Indian accents.  It really sounded like it was the same person, but changing his name.  He called stating he was from the US treasury Law department. I told him not to ever call again and he called 3 more times.  He is a scammer.  Do not fall for this.  

got 8 calls in a row, left 1 message, finally picked up, heavy accented indian person, could barely understand, said from US Dept of Treasury Legal Affairs, my husband owed back taxes, if he didn't call, back there would be a warrant for his arrest. I looked up the number and found this page. My question is what are they trying to do? Charge our home phone number? Or do they want my husband's cell number to charge? Really weird, suspcious. This number should be blocked!

The above number was on my called ID (3) times when I got home.  Then they called twice while I was home; left no message on the machine so on the second ring I picked up to rip whoever this telemarketer was.  I was told he (a thickly accented indian) stated he was from the department of legal affairs us treasury and that a claim/legal charges had been brought up against my husband and that he needed to cal Russell Reed within the hour ASAP.  He even asked for his cell number that I did not provide.
I thought it was a scam, now after reading these posts I know that it is.  We don't owe the IRS anything.

just got two calls this eve at 519pm and 642pm. again john anderson, heavy indian accent, us dept of treasury legal affairs dept. legal action started on my name and if i was too busy to have my legal atty call back...

Just got the same call for my son stating that if he didn't call back within one hour a warrant would be issued
for his arrest.  Same thing - Indian accent, his name given as John Anderson.  My son to contact Russell Reed ASAP.
Was sure it was a scam and then looked up number and found these comments.  Now I'm sure.

AN indian gentleman called and wanted me to call 213-375-0948. They say its from Russel Reed from US Treasury Dept and to call him back right away. He was pushing that I call right away. I did not. Then after reading these I find it is a scam.
