got a call from this number - no msg. I do not have a McAfee account nor do I own any of their products. Also, I have no Borders account.  I am am on the DNC list, and I have verified my registration.  It is likely that this was simply a mis-dial and was probably the case for others who have reported this number.

Got three calls today I did not answer and no message was left.

It was McAfee support. The technician with whom I had just spoken was calling me back because he forgot to tell me something. He was in India, but the call comes through this L.A. number. I didn't know that, that's why I came here, but he left a voice mail.

It appears to be a third party technical call support.   Kaspersky is my internet security and I've been working w technical support.   So you should pick up if you are working w a technical support rep!

Got a call back from NcAfee from this number. Tech support calling me back regarding a problem.

Thanks to those who recently posted, else this call would have remained a mystery..  No caller ID so did not answer; no message left.  With no ID, we don't answer.  We made a recent tech support call to McAfee, so this was probably a legitimate follow up, but no message and no caller ID is annoying.

8:12 am Just got a call from this number. Whoever it was stays on the line long enough to let you hear the sounds around them but they didn't speak... Sounded like an Shopping Center, or a Mall etc... by the background noise.

It's McAfee technical support.  I had an issue and I had sent an email it, and they called me back.

I was skeptical about this number also, and I've been waiting for a call from McAfee. Glad to hear that it may be legit! Didn't want to be scammed while waiting for McAfee.

It was from McAfee cause I was on the phone with technical support and when my daughter called I answered her call and lost  the technical support call. I was suppose to complete a conversation with one of the supervisors but got disconnected.

Just got a call from this number. I couldn't answer was on another call. And I see some say its mcafee. Problem is I don't have a McAfee account.

I received a call from this number at 10:48 pm Texas time on 10/24/2013.  No message..  I Googled the number which someone said Mcafee might be it.  I was online with Mcafee tonight and got disconnected when I had to reboot my computer..  All good here..

This number is the McAfee company returning a call about your McAfee service on your computer. It is a legitimate call. I would take this call. This is a legitimate and wanted call.

I got a call from this number today, first on my home phone and then on my cell phone. Those folks don't know how much damage and stress they cause. The area code is in the L.A. area, and I have an aunt in that area who is probably going to die very soon. I thought the number was a hospital or family member calling with bad news and I've spent the day trying to get through, and all I get is that stupid music. I'm assuming it was a prank call.

I got this call but my phone wouldn't answer it...so I called it back and it kept me on hold for several minutes.  I thought it was from one of my mortgage lending companies...with whom I do business...

This is borders customer service, if you're having issues with your online borders account, they call you from this number

A person called me from this number and left another return number but could not reach them at that number!  Message was scratchy and some digits sounded
like 18 but then it was wring number and I tried the 213-412-4000 and on hold too and music plays!
