same as above - calls to my cell phone about credit card rates.  Since I don;t have any credit cards, this is laughable --- excpet for the minutes charged to my cell phone account.

They wanted to help me lower my credit card rates. I don't have a flippin credit card. They've called three times now and each time I tell them to put me on the do not call list and for their address. All I could get out of one guy was Boca Raton, FL but he couldn't pronounce it even close to right. I pressured him for the full address but got hung up on as usual.

Does anyone know if the do-not call list even works?

Debt free life is the company. Same story as everyone, recording, press one, get a person. First time person gave me company name as "Debt Free Life." Told them to stop calling me

Second time person blatently said he DIDN'T KNOW who he worked for! I asked for a phone number - says he didn't know. I asked what company pays his pay checks - says he didn't know. Not only is this a violation of federal law, they commit pure fraud by concealing thier identify and refusing to provide contact info. NOT LEGIT.

FILE FTC COMPLAINT AGAINST DEBT FREE LIFE. FILE COMPLAINTS. Only once FTC sees a large number of complaints against DEBT FREE LIFE will they act. Damn, I hope they find out who is doing it nails them.

213-504-7074.  Recorded auto-call saying they were "Card Services", and saying I "must" call them to get an interest rate reduction.  These same sheisters called my home phone some months ago, and while I had them on hold (after giving out too much information), my credit card company said not to give them any info, and that Card Services not authorized by my my credit card company in any way, even though Card Services said they were.  I added my home number to their do not call list at that time, and had my credit card account number changed immediately.  Now they are calling my cell phone number...!

Almost every day for the past 2 weeks I have been getting called from this number.  I have listened to the recording and pushed 1 to get on their "DO NOT CALL LIST".  I have also spoken to two different people on 10-13-09 and 10-15-09 and made it very clear that my number is on the DO NOT CALL LIST already and to take it off of their list.  Today is 10-16-09 and they have called again.  I pushed 1 to get on the DO NOT CALL LIST AGAIN. Please Help!!!!

I just reported them too.  We all need to take a minute to report them.  That's the only way to get them to stop.

213 504 7074 (capital services on caller id) called today around 4 pm. put them in donotcall.gov....where they belong.

I have been solicitor call free since Sept (until today) because I file a FCC complaint every time one of these crooks calls. They wait awhile then start again using a different number. They are a SCAM!!! All of them claiming debit reduction or saving interest on credit cards. They cannot do any such thing and have no intention. They will charge your credit card $695 and then sell your number to other scammers. Again they all are crooks regardless of how nice they talk and assure you they are not. If they were legitimate they would give you their call back business number and physical address. They refuse to do either. Capitol Services is more dangerous than Bonnie and Clyde and they must be stopped. If any body knows a Brandon Will with an oriental accent that works for a telemarketer, please post his contact info here, so we can invade his privacy. probably a fake name.

They are pretending to be Capitol Service and they say the y will help you reduce your debt, all you have to do is give them you bank account number (over thepohne!) and they will make your payments for you.

Have been receiving UNWANTED solisitation from these people. They tell you to call 888-365-8002. I have called that # twice and left a message for them NOT to call my cell number anymore. I am also on the DO NOT CALL LIST!

This was already their 2nd call on my cell phone.  Received recording stating they want to reduce the interest rate on my credit card.
Pressed 1 told them not to call back. My # is already on the do not call list and they can be fined $10k for continue to call me and use up my minutes.  I just reported them to the DNC.  Thanks Franklin for posting the link.

Just missed the call, but they left a message about how I had 48 hours to respond to a low interest rate offer / interest rate reduction offer and that I should call an 888# to start the process.  A direct call to the 213 # number could not be made, contrary to other posters' comments.

Call from 213-504-7074 about lowering my interst rate. Recorded message for Debt Free Life of Boca Raton, Florida, but the call is a Los Angeles area code.

As of september 1, these calls are illegal under Federal law. Please file a complaint on the FTC Web site! It takes about 2 minutes to file a complaint, and the Federal government can fine the caller up to $16,000 per call.
