Thousands of $. yes, Millions of Dollars, might get levied in the four years that are listed on the CRTC website. Will they collect? now that's a different matter. Think of all of the harm that these rotten apples are creating in the wake of their operations. Bell Canada received the bulk of the levies, 3.1 Mill, but will they cough it up? time will tell. -Terrific

"Samantha" called to ask if I qualified for the "Ontario Power Rebate", and if I was the home owner. She neglected to say it was "Ontario Home Comfort", and all as what came from her was "Harrumph(unintlligible) Home Comfort", when I asked and "Where do I call 'Home Comfort Inc'?"her response was that they had no phone number and this was an outbound call centre, with NO Inbound Lines. At this I reminded her that she was violating the Canadian Do-Not Call Rules by Not Stating the Return Phone Number, and that I would not answer ANY of her questions, as this was a Telemarketing COLD call, as I have no PRIOR associations with "Home Comfort Inc." I suggested she get a hold of a call-back number,as it is against the rules to call without one. " She agreed with an "O.K" response, I said have a good day. We'll monitor if 'Ontario Home Comfort tries again. -T

Please be sure to let us know if the telephone company tells you that dead air on the other end of the phone is a scam.

Annoying phone call, left message. said hello twice. Being on the do not call list seems to make no difference anymore.

I had the same experience just now. There was nobody on the other end of the line, so after 4 seconds I hung up. I live in Ontario,Canada. I will check with my phone company, to make sure it is not a scam.

I got a call from this number and they claimed to be an extension of the Home Energy Program. They knew my name and Home address as well. Asked about furnace, hot water and air conditioning age... sneeky people....

This number identified themselves at "Ontario Home Comfort".
The woman spoke with an island accent.
I asked to be taken off their call list and she replied "but I haven't told you why I'm calling".

Twice now, I've received a call from this number (213-629-1497) and just dead air. I'm concerned it may be a number that hijacks phone numbers to make international calls.

I just answered a call from this number and it was dead air. Not even static or anything. They hung up after about 10 seconds.
