the phone calls are a scam from India.  It is being investigated by the Canadian officials however after speaking with them it is my understanding that as the calls do not originate here they have to work with the indian government to stop the scammers and the indian government is not co-operating in catching them.  the Indian government is very corrupt and will likely do nothing to stop  these annoying b*****ds from calling u.  Only real option is to pay for a call service which blocks telemarketers by making them place their phone number before being put through to ur line which u then must accept their call.  Other then that change and get an unlisted phone number.  I have been recieving calls from them now for nearly a year and a half if anyone knows how to stop them PLEASE do so!

I receive over 5 calls a day from this number.  Someone said it was someone posing as a microsoft guy.  I unfortuneately fell for the scam and paid them to fix some computer issues I was having. I won't take their calls anymore and won't give them any more money.  I believe it is them.  It makes me sick that in Canada, Bell Canada profits from blocking these type of calls.  This should fall under "stocking" laws as far as I'm concerned.  It's the principle, I don't want to have to pay $ 72/yr to block it.

I have been receiving calls from 213-629-1731 for over 3 months now.
Recently they are getting more frequent, like about 5 - calls per day.
How can this be stopped?

Who do you report these calls to?  What Agency is interested in detailing with these calls?

Is it not a Federal offence in both Canada and the USA.

Constantly calling - no one picks up

still getting calls from "California, 213-629-1731  no one or message, please block.

Received a call from"John" stating he was a computer tech. I asked him to repeat himself and still did not get the company name. He had my first name and asked if I was the main user of the computer.
That is as far as he got. I told him to take me off his list...don't call again...etc and I hung up.

I am not sure how/where he got my name since the phone is not listed with my name.

On May 27th I got 11 calls from this number, no one there, started at 6:24 AM to 5:30 PM, May 29th I got 3 calls starting at 6:34 AM to 10:34 AM no one there, on May 30 got 5 calls so far starting at 11:20 AM to 3:29PM, still no one there. Not sure of May 27th, may have been May 26th or 28th.
Am getting very fed up with this, STOP IT IF YOU CAN.

This is a scammer which claims to be a microsoft tech ,only info i could find so far is from los angles cali from hill street towers at 4th and hill, microsoft techs do not call you, my advice is to hang up
