A solicitation from DHGate.com, a Chinese wholesale marketplace from which I've made a couple of purchases. It sounded like an actual human being, as my name was used in a non-robotic form, and was advertising their summer sales.

To save yourself some problems. just google for flower shops in or near the town you are trying to send flowers and talk directly to someone in the shop.Or just order through Flowershop Network. They are smaller and more personal.

I'm sorry for the terrible service you received, but as the owner of a small town florist, I'd like to lend you a piece of advice: If you're savvy enough to order flowers online from Teleflora/800-Flowers, take a few extra minutes to search for an ACTUAL LOCAL FLORIST. You'll save yourself the extra service charges, and get much better service. Plus, if the florist actually is too busy to deliver your arrangement you'll know right away. If you have any trouble you can call your local florist and ask them to point you in the right direction of a brick-and-mortar florist in the recipient's area. :)

Today I received two calls to my cell phone, no message and one call to the house phone, my husband answered & said it was a chinese lady whom he could barely understand who said she had flowers to deliver for me & wanted to know if I would be home at 3:00PM & they would be out to deliver it's not 3:00PM yet...I called the number back & it said it was disconnected...trying to look it up on line, I only find it is located somewhere in the Los Angeles, CA 90014 area, I live in Central Illinois.  I also received a phone call from a local florist we have used in the past, and they delivered flowers to me today already.  Not sure what's going on with that.

The number is TelaFlora and it seems legit. I ordered flowers on Thursday and they just called and left a message on my voice mail to confirm that the flowers were delivered. The voice was that of a Chinese lady. Hope this helps.

Yes...it is Teleflora.  First time that I used them and they messed up the order.  I have always used 1-800-FLOWERS before and will go back to them.  She said something about a 10% credit and a note of apology.....big deal....the birthday is over.

Could not understand the caller message. I decided to look it up in the computer and low and behold I see all these messages written. I did also order flowers from Teleflora today and today received  that call.

I called Teleflora and reported this and the operator also put the number in her computer and saw what I was seeing on this site. She is going to report it to those in the know.

received 2 calls from this number with no message. tried to call it back and got recording that the number was not in service, thought I dialed the number wrong, tried again and got same message. Checked the boards here and found out it was a teleflora number. (I had ordered flowers yesterday for my daughter who just had a baby, order cost me $100 and they delivered 4 carnations and 6 daisys!  That was not what was placed) When they called again I answered and yes, it was teleflora. They informed me the local florist was busy with christmas deliveries and would not be able to send out the New Baby arrangement until December 26th. A lot of good that does when she leaves the hospital today.  :(

This is teleflora customer service calling to clarify an order or, in my case, tell me that a particular order could not be filled by local merchants.  Very polite and a much appreciated service.  Teleflora has always done an excellent job for me.

I got the 213 call.  I get a lot of calls that are not for me, so I didn't answer.  I looked it up and saw here that it was Teleflora, which I had placed an order through yesterday.  3 red roses.  I called the 213 number, but it reports disconnected.  I went to their site to get the 800 number.  They weren't sure if I wanted red roses. (the description is "3 red roses", how could they be confused.).  Teleflorist updated the florist.  We'll see if they can get it right now.

I'd recommend answering these.  It should be legitimate.

I ordered flowers via TeleFlora.com on 09/12/08 for my mother-in-law's birthday Saturday.  She received the flowers Saturday, though the order wasn't correct.  The floral arrangement I ordered was obviously substituted because it looked nothing like what I ordered, and she also did not get the small stuffed animal that was ordered with it.  I contacted TeleFlora via their website last week regarding the problem.  They credited me the money for the stuffed animal and said something about a 20% credit for the terrible substitution which I have yet to see.
It wasn't until today 09/22/08 (10 days after the order) that I found this number as missed call from about an hour ago.  Now why would they be calling me a week and half after my order?  And why couldn't they leave a message?

I ordered flowers today from Teleflora since I saw Hallmark quit the flower business.  I order these flowers at 11:30AM EST well before the 2PM cut off to get the flowers out according to their website.  Well at 4:05PM EST.  I get a call from ONE WILSHIRE (213) 629-4831.  Of course I don't answer unknowns or names that are not recognizable.  Surely this is an outsourcing from Teleflora.  I give the guy credit for pronouncing my last name correctly, but he was much to fast speaking the callback number and when saying the confirmation number.  I had to play back the recording a few times to catch everything.   Needless to say, I won't be using TeleFlora or the local florist I chose again, as they had to reschedule for tomorrow.  Poor service!

I didn't recognize the number calling my cell phone so I didn't answer.  They left a message stating there was a problem with the Teleflora order I had placed about an hour or so ago.  The left a call back number that was an 800 number.  I don't know why the number comes up as this 213 number, but in their message they clearly stated an 800 number to call back and that they were calling from Teleflora.  As for the inexperience, yes, I agree with that.  The lady told me I needed an alternate delivery address for my order as there were no shops to deliver to that address - I said I'd ordered from Teleflora before and had it shipped to this exact address.  After going around a bit I got it out of her that the local shops in the area were closed for the holidays - not that there were no local shops, just that they were closed for the holidays and couldn't deliver TODAY. I said, "Fine, deliver it as soon as they're open then."  Why she didn't clearly state that at the beginning is beyond me - "Hello, we are unable to deliver your order TODAY because the local shops are closed for the holidays.  Do you have an alternate delivery address or would you like the order delivered another day?" The caller definitely had an accent and I say that only as proof that Teleflora might be outsourcing their call center and it causes problems because the people don't speak English well and are inexperienced.  They're going to lose money with this - I almost canceled the sale because at first I was being told basically that they CAN'T deliver AT ALL - not that they could deliver LATER.

This number has called my cell phone several times without leaving a message.  After reading these posts I believe they are most likely from a florist as I recently had flowers delivered to someone.  Very irritating that when you call the number back - it says its disconnected

I have gotten about 10 calls a DAY for about a week from this number. Never answered it though. I DID order some flowers for family 2 days ago from JCPenney and they were a teleflora. No problem with my order. I DID receive a call from a PRIVATE #, a Chinese with no good English, asking if I wanted to buy "something".I asked if their mommy knew they were playing on the phone, and they hung up. I will answer next time and see if anything. I have used teleflora before with no problems.

One more comment: I think it's just a very unprofessional phone bank, which Teleflora either runs or is more likely outsourcing. Doesn't seem like actual funny business, just rank beginners and poor english-speakers.

This is apparently a customer service phonebank working for Teleflora. I received a call to clarify my order from an *extremely* inexperienced CSR. She left a message in which she didn't identify the company, couldn't describe the problem and ended by hollering to one of her co-workers for assistance -- this behavior prompted me to Google the phone number. Luckily she called back and I was able to coax out the probem: they didn't have the flowers I wanted, and were calling to get my approval for a substitution. I politely cancelled my order -- problem solved.

Received two calls on my cell phone with no message, and one on the house phone that my husband answered...he said it was a chinese lady on the other end he couldn't understand very well saying she had flowers to be delivered to me & would bring them at 3:00PM today...Saturday, November 24, 2007.  It isn't 3:00PM yet, but I'm thinking something weird is up with the phone call.  Called the number back, says is disconnected...I did get flowers from a local florist from a friend in Florida and they called the house & my cell prior to delivering them (we've gotten flowers from them before)...I live in Central Illinois.

10 calls one each day for the past 10 days. if you answer no one on the other end of the line. If you call the number back the recording says this number is no longer in service? When I called my provided (AT&T) for assistance with this. The told me there is nothing they can do. If you goggle the number it comes up as CRG west.com, Paramont Group, One Wilshire Place,& carrier Hotels .com. All from Los Angeles, All fictious and non existant based on returning calls
