I've asked them to please take me off their list on numerous occasions and they still call every day. Last month I decided to get back at them. I decided to make an appointment with one of their Sales Reps to see about solar panels. The operator asked some qualifying questions and I told her that they had my address wrong. I gave her the address of a neighbor a few houses down the street from me. Then they transferred me to someone else who also asked me some qualifying questions and proceeded to make an appointment for a Sales Rep to come to my home the next morning. I watched the rep arrive about 5 minutes before the scheduled appointment while I walked my dog. He left about 5 minutes later, flooring his gas pedal and speeding right passed me looking very pissed. I waved and said "see ya a-hole!"
I always ask nicely to be taken off of their calling list and if they continue to call me I make an "appointment"
I also ask for them to call me on my other # because this one is used for a business (and give them a fake #)
If they call again, I'll make another appointment. Hopefully these pricks will respect the do-not-call-list and leave me alone. If not , I will ALWAYS have the last laugh......

When I called back to be removed from their list, the recording said, "The number you have dialed is not in service..." I wish!

213-676-6701 - Calls me everyday.  Sometimes there is a person and sometimes there isn't.  The caller ID says California and when I try to call back to scream and verbally abuse someone from their company, I just get a message saying the number can't be reached.  I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.

I use to get lose my mind flip over the sofa upset when this happened, because I was dying to unleash a verbal assault on someone on the other end of that number, but there is only way real way to deal with this type of problem.  You have to enjoy yourself.  I have different characters/personas that I created and use to answer the phone when it's telemarketers.

Just a few:
Tony's Funeral Parlor - you carry we bury
City Wok Chinese food - Thank you for calling city wok, can I take a order prease. You order city beef?
Nicky -  I pretend I'm a heroin addict that was expecting a drug related phone call.
Dante -  A rapper who wants everyone to just hear him flow.
Radio show host - they have won a contest.  I can only do that one if im near my computer
Danny- I pretend an intruder has broken into my apt and im hiding under the bed terrified and i whisper a lot
Super Trooper the movie - I see how many times I can say "meow" in a regular sentence b4 they hang up.
Vincent - I pretend I am a drug dealer trying to make a sale to the telemarketer.
Hitman - I pretend I'm a hitman that thinks the phone call is from his boss to confirm the job is done.
KKK member - I'm not racist at all but it's a great way to horrify people that bother you on your phone.
Gangster Black Panther Member - Probably my 3nd favorite character to get into.  He is hilarious.
Mafia Member - My favorite character to get into by far. A lot of "ooo's" and "aaa's" in an Italian accent.

Last but not least is Donnie.  He is special.  When I am Donnie, my goal is to keep whoever is calling and bothering me, on the phone for as long as humanly possible, to waste as much of their time as I can while never buying anything.

1st.  Put it on speaker so you don't hold the phone to your ear.
2nd.  Act and sound super interested.
3rd.  Very early in the conversation, ask "Do I need to use a credit card? Because I left my wallet in my car and i'd have to run downstairs to get it from my car if i'm gonna need it."   That's really your money line right there.  That makes the telemarketer think you're a real fool and now he is willing to be a LOT more patient with all the ridiculous time wasting questions you are about to ask him.  Here are some ways to stall.  I'm still looking for my credit card, but I'm very interested in "insert service or item they are bothering you to buy".  Ask a lot of redundant questions.  Occasionally say things that are completely irrelevant to the conversation.  Always act like you are definitely buying.  If you tire of the game you just say, pardon me sir, I just want you to know that I really enjoyed using you like a little toy, like a little chess piece on a board, a pawn if you will.  And now i'm afraid I grow weary.  And in my weakened condition i'm afraid im not going to be able to make any purchases.  Gotcha B-tch!!!!!!! Peace we out.  Honk Honk.
