I got a call from this number today (Mon may 12)at8:02Am
I was who heck is this, so did an look up and found this page.
I do have two loans from these guys both of which I been pay on and then been claiming That I have not I told I would  fax them my bank records as poof payment and  after which then hang up, a**holes! I wish they would just leave me alone!

Recieved two calls from this number on Sunday just before 9:00pm. tried calling back no answer...what the heck

Keep getting call all hours. I think I am hiring a attorney to get these people to stop calling. I am retired and sick and don't need this.

Keep getting calls all hours and most of the time not home. But on the time I answer they hang up. I don't even know anyone in california. I am retired

Getting calls from this number asking for a 'Lucas'.  I've never known anyone named Lucas.  They keep calling back, hanging up whenever I answer.

This number has called me now 6x's in the past hour my nerves are racked like everyone elses I can see! I had never given them this number they use caller ID and I have called over 3 times to have them remove this number and of course every 2 months it starts all over...ok can I scream now

I am getting telephone callings from 213 700-6433 about 3-4 time a day and when I answer the telephone the caller doesn't say anything.  I have told sallie mae that I am not going to make any payments for a student loan to the school since I withdrew and my classes were dropped, I did enform the loaner when this was done.

So I finally got through to someone and apparently I was a "personal reference" on one of my friends loans like 4 years ago and they where trying to get a current phone number for him. I asked to be removed from his file since I haven't talked to him in 3 years and they said ok. I hope they don't call again.

I just got a call from this number and didn't answer it because I don't know it. No message but I have no loans out at all so I'm a little worried.

Yep I would guess that the Sallie Mae assumption is correct. I am behind on my payments and I am getting repeated calls from this number.

Someone called from this # 8:00 pm Sunday evening. I do not owe anyone and I don't want anyone call me about someone elses bills.

This number called my unlisted cell phone at both 10:15am, 12:16am & 2:30pm today.  I never answer unknown numbers, so I googled it out of curiosity about who it might be & I got this page.  Definitely creepy. I now need to go thru my home phones inbound calls & see if they're buggin me there too.

SICK AND TIRED OF THIS NUMBER CALLING AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY. THIS IS HARRASSMENT AND SHOULD BE STOPPED

Don't answer calls from this # as it is unknown to me.   They never leave a message.   If it is from Sallie Mae, we do not have any student loans.   We are senior citizens and have not co-signed for any student loans.   I did call them back once and they were looking for someone I never heard of and they assured me they would take our number off the list.   So much for nothing..........

I received calls many times from this number. I don't answer unknown out of area calls.

Unfortunately when I tried to call it back, I got no response.

It does belong to Sallie Mae. Sad part is I've never had a loan through them. Each time I attempt to get my number off their list, I just get calls from a new number.

This particular number is through an internet provider in CA

I recieved this call and after reading this page, I would be sure it was a collection agent from Sallie Mae.  They have tons of different departments and numbers they get sneaky with.

Yeah, they don't identify themselves, then tell you they're going to record the telephone call, but if you threaten/ask to do the same - THEY DON'T ALLOW IT!!!

Asked for Amy or Alice.  I told him that I thought he had a wrong number.  He then said something about my not being sure and that he would call back when I was sure.  I told him he had a wrong number - I was sure ... He hung up.  Am I going to get calls from this guy forever now?

Sallie May Student Loan Debt Collection. Usually they call from a 1-800# or Out of Area,,..looks like they are trying yet another way to HIDE their identity so we'll answer the phone.

Well for me they found my cousins from my fathers side that were sucked up in a tornado! It happened in 19-dickty-seven in the old country (Tennessee). Now, I have an outstanding loan balance and a bunch of yokles that keep e-mailing me their family newsletter. This sucks! Sallie Mae, you suck!

I guess I am one of the "dead beats" they are looking for.  Lost my job and can't pay.  They don't understand--no job equals no payments.  House is in foreclosure, 1 car repo'd, one more notified for repo, but they can't find it.  Neighbors, family, friends are called looking for me.  Nobody will talk to me now.  Never gave out their information on my application.  They even called a 4th cousin I never knew I had on family I never new existed.  Turns out I was adopted and never knew.  Wonder how Sallie Mae was able to find my real family when the court records are sealed?

I too have been receiving calls and for a Nadia.  They are coming to a line in my home that is my business line for my company as a teleworker that I have had for over 2 yrs.  I have rec'd these calls before and told the caller that no Nadia is at this # and the calls stopped.  Now they are starting again.  Very annoying.  I find it odd that it is for the same named person, Nadia.  I am in CT.

Sallie Mae has been harrassing my residence at all hours of the day, several times a day asking for someone who does not reside at my residence no longer.  I have told them each time this person does not reside here, and to stop calling.  They continue to call.

This is all true.  This is a Sallie Mae number.  They call constantly at all hours.  These unprofessionally conducted people have charged me about $20,000 in interest and collection fees over the past couple of years.  I am screwed because it is a student loan, and they never go away, regardless.  

Do NOT ever use Sallie Mae.  I changed careers, took a risk on a cool new career which did not pay off (college recruiter lied to me about starting wages in this field)....went from making $17/hour to $10/hour, and Sallie Mae could care less.  Looks like I have to win the lottery if I ever plan to pay them back, becuase I have to keep a roof over my head first.

Also, these people have illegally taken money out of my bank account too.  I had to close that account and move to another bank.  These people are criminals.

Iget calls from 3 lenders cause in college I was an idiot. I an artist not a science major. I don't understand bills, andloans. I borrowed what I needed with a SSN and a Signature. You know, I never saw a check or money so to pay over $900 on top of my exspenses already is insane. I paid them a few hundred a few times and it doesn't even matter. If they dont get a minimum of $900, it's not acceptable but that's all I can afford. They are soooo annoying.
