They called trying to get in touch with a relative that has been dead for several years.

They called me and said I had a sibling that took a loan about a year ago and hasnt been paying it. I wanna know who this guy that barely speaks english is.

the same # is calling me and as far as i know they are trying to scam hard working people out of money because they are to lazy to get a real job so they want are money anyway they called me saying they were from hudson law firm and unless i didnt pay they were gonna charge me with fraud and several other charges the names that i have been given are kevin johns,ron anderson and the bosses name is supposidly steve johnson

Recently got a call from this number.  As previously stated they said that they were the Hutchins Law Firm (could have been Hudson and I misunderstood).  The person was Jack Roberts.  I don't mean to be prejudice but if this guy was born Jack Roberts, I'll be a monkey's uncle.  Anyway, he told me that there was a pending lawsuit for money I owed and they needed my attorney's contact info.  I asked that all info be faxed to me.  He took the number.  We'll see if anything shows but I doubt it.

I received a call from this # the 1st person that I talked to was steve smith I asked if I could speak to someone that spoke english and was transfered to Kevin Johnson, his english was no better, so I asked to speak to someone that didn't have an accent. I was put on hold again and hung up on. I was left a message earlier in the day from the same number that said I was in legal trouble I couldn't understand what the company name was that they were calling from only that it was a law firm. I was told that I was going to be charged with fraud and I wasgoing to lose my home and everything I had. I talked to someone at a debt consolidation firm and was told that these people are not calling from the United States and they had purchased my social security # to scam me out of money.

I got the exact same message, 5 messages in a row, to be exact, spaced out during the day. It sounds like "Mike Jordan" is in India or something. It gets really annoying because if they are going to be calling my work # then they need to stop. We need to find a way to beat these guys at their own "game."

We got a call from this number today at home after it called my husbands work earlier today stating they were from a law firm and it was urgent that he call them asap his boss got the phone call and gave him the message at work. How does that look having people from a law firm calling your work looking to collect a debt thank goodness his been there almost three years and they understood.Anyhow hw got home to a message they had called here to. So he called back only to get in to verbal argument with someone who wouldnt let him speack to a STEVEN JHONSTON which who is the person who called his work and here earlier. When iheard the voice of the man i reconized it and told him thats him on the phone at that time he hung up.So i got on the computer and googled the phone number and boom there this was about the number. There acting like they are collecting a debt from you for a loan that you got online some time ago and nevered paid back. So i called him back asked for Steven and again reconized the voice and acted like i was trying to solve the payment issue till he starte dlaughing at me and said hahahha youll never catch me basically. Its a scam so dont fall for it and always check things out befor sending anyone money.

This is the 2nd time this number called me on my cell phone. The 1st time I didn't pick up but this time I did. The woman said they were from CDC and I cut her off and said "I'm not interested". She replied "We are trying to help you with your HEALTH". I told her I didn't need any help and told her I was on the Do Not Call List. She then said my number was chosen at random and I said "If my number was randomly chosen, then how come this is the SECOND call from your number in 1 week". She kept rambling about how the numbers are randomly dialed...so I hung up on her. I don't want telemarketers calling me at home let alone my cell phone!!!

I just received my first phone call on my cell phone from 213-504-7064 stating they were from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) asking if this was a cell phone.  I said, if this is a cell phone and not listed anywhere in a phone book, how could you have gotten this number?  He replied with, "the computer dials random numbers and mine popped up" and he wanted me to participate in a survey.  I said no.  He said are you sure?  I said I don't want to participate in any survey, good night, and I hung up.  I immediately looked this number up on the internet and found this thread.  What the HELL????!!!

Listen, everyone on this post.  I've been conducting research into who this person, and/or, people are.  It seems as if this "scammer" is working in conjunction with a payday loan offering online.  If you've ever applied for a payday loan online in the past (hard to tell which company is involved), you might be receiving calls from 213-784-2070.  Most of the information this low-life divulges to unsuspecting people, is the same information they used to apply for one of these loans online.  It is a scam, as I too have been receiving these same calls, up to 20 a day!  You need to file complaints with the FCC, FBI, and your local state law enforcement agency.  These people are making calls through computers, which makes it extremely hard to trace.  I would also advise to call the number in question on a private line, and tell the person you've reported them.  I've found in the past this tactic works for some people.  I did the same, spoke with a "Tom Woody" who had a thick middle-eastern accent, and told him I've filed complaints (which I did).  This person uses the name "Tom Woody" often, and claims to work for a "U.S. Legal Process Services", a phony name and company.  DON'T give ANY personal information to this person!  This person or group is attempting to extract sensitive personal information from you, or other family members, and even friends!  It is a SCAM!

My mother called me today, she sounded concerned.  She said, "what are the last 4 digits of your social security number?"  I said, "Why do you want to know?"  She said, "well... you see, I got this phone call from this guy who ... he made me so upset too... said he was calling because there was a criminal case against you cause you didn't pay your loan that you got in 2008...  But I told him that he needed to read the law again, because I know better than anyone, that there's nothin' criminal about not paying your bills on time."

I laughed...  and she continued "He said, not criminal then... just legal.  And I got so upset, I said, 'Look... This is my baby you're talkin about, and he's probably the best baby I ever had...  He's a good kid and he wouldn't do anything like this."

I'm not a kid anymore... but thanks mom.

The man clearly got frustrated and said, "just give me his cell phone number... I will call him."  My mother said, "no, i'll give him your number, and he will call you... he will call you immediately."

So my mother gave me the number, and I called.

The man gave me the sales pitch and described to me the actions they would take... I said, "that's fine... but first things first.  What is your name sir?"  

"My name?" he asked.
"Yes... what is your name... the name of the person I am speaking with."
"my name is ... Jack Roberts"
I laughed and said, "your name is NOT Jack Roberts, sir.  What is your actual name... "
He laughed too... and hung up the phone.

I called back.  And Kevin something-er-other answered the phone... sounding remarkably like "Jack Roberts" he said, "how may I help you?"  I said, "I was speaking with Mr. Jack Roberts a moment ago.  I would like to speak with Mr. Jack Roberts."  


He hung up the phone.

I called my mother, and told her it was a scam.  She said, "OH THAT must makes me SO MAD!  I hate people like that... I'm going to call him again"

My mother called him again, and said, "did my son get a hold of you?"

The man said, "I did not speak to your child today."

The comedy goes on and on... but suffice to say... this is a scam.

I received a call earlier in the year from the same number they would call as often as 3 times a day to my work number leaving a vm, but never called my home.  I have continued to save the messages even though some I can't understand because of the accent.  Well today after months of not receiving these calls, I get to work and have 5 messages, all 5 are from this 213 number saying the exact same thing within 20 minutes intervals from a MIKE JORDAN. I had to laugh at that....your MIKE JORDAN with that thick accent. All they say is we have your name and social security number under investigation for civil frad activities. You or your attorney need to call this number back today or no one will be able to save you from the legal actions. Goodbye.

I keep getting calls from this number for my brother stating they have a case file with his name on it. They keep calling my phone leaving messages saying they got my number because i was used as a reference back in november but i have gotten a new number since then. The guy "mark brown" also stated if i didnt call him back he would take legal action on me which is illegal. Its a scam.

These people called my Mother's house and my workplace stating they had a Cicil Lawsuit against me.  They never called me at my house.  When I called back and asked for Tom Woody(the name that was given) they had never heard of him.  th man asked me for my phone number and when I said No...he siad.."Bye" twice and then hung up.
