This number has been calling me on my cell for 2 months now.
At least 3-7 times in a day.
No answer , no message, try calling back and it's dead silence.
Do you know who this is?

i get this call about once every week or so. tried calling it back and i get a message that simply says "we are unable to complete your call. please try again later..." 213 area code is downtown los angeles.

This number calls me at least twice a week and there is never anyone there.
How do I get them to stop?

This number showed up on my missed call list 4 times today so far. It's only 11:00am. I had no idea what this phone # was about so I looked it up on the white pages reverse lookup. "Unlisted". I searched for the # on google and here we are. I'd really like to know who's doing this. It's annoying when it's on your cell phone!. I haven't tried calling back, but judging from the other posts, it's fruitless anyway :).

Hi Everyone, This number belongs to the County of Los Angeles. It is for Health Insurance LA Care/ Healthy Families. If anyone in your Family has ever applied for assistance or Medi-Cal through the County this is the reason for the phone calls. They are NOT randomly calling people, they are doing follow up calls. This number doesnt accept incoming calls so dont bother trying to call them back. You need to answer the phone call and tell them they have the wrong number and ask to be removed from their list.     IT WORKS! or at least for me it did. Good Luck.

I've been getting calls from the stupid number for almost a week now..and just right now when I was reading this website, a guy called..he said he was from LA Care and need to talk to the parents of my son...I got so scared..I hung up...anyone know who this is please let me know..thanks

I've been receiving calls from this number almost everyday but nobody answers!

The same number keeps calling me back. theyve been calling for a month.
The other day they asked for my husband and said they were calling from blue cross. thats the only time i ever heard a live person. its freaking me out

I receive calls from this number quite often, but never answered the calls.  Tonight I answered and spoke to a gentleman who told me he was calling on behalf of LA Care Customer Service.  I told him I understood he was calling on behalf of a company, but wanted to know the name of the company he worked for. He put me on hold after I kept insisting he tell me the name of his company, which "LA Care" had hired to make these calls, and when he came back (after obviously asking someone whether he was aloud to tell me this information) and told me his company was LA Care.  He then became short with me and asked if I wanted to be on their "Do Not Call" list.  I agreed.  Here's hoping the 20 calls a day from this company stop!

'it' calls and says nothing when you answer. but, yet 'it' still keeps calling!

Same thing...I get between 10-20 calls a day on my cellphone...So annoying...Just called At&t but they said they can't block numbers yet...They don't offer that service...Lame! They suggested I file a complaint with the police dept...
like they don't have better things to do...

I MYSELF, HAVE BEEN GETTING MANY PHONE CALLS FROM THIS NUM. ITS PISSING ME OFF. THEY KEEP ON CALLING MY CELL PHONE. WHEN I CALL THE # BACK IT TAKES 50SEC B4 THE 1ST RING, THEN IT CONTINUES TO STATE THAT THE NUMBER OR CODE CANT BE REACHED. WHEN SOMEONE FIGURES THIS OUT WHAT IS GOING ON OR WHO IS BEHIND THIS PLEASE!! POST WHO? WHAT?.

Same thing, calling my number 10 times a day, I don't answer now but they leave a blank msg in my voice mail, and nothing till 2 hours later. Hope they will stop, they are p... of sh.... who evenr they aer....

ive been getting calls like 10 times/day for about 2 months now. Same story, no one answers, no messages, they hang up. Can't call back. I wonder where they got my cell number from. These freaks sometimes pretend to be some company and collect information. I think the might be in identity theft business.
I do not think its the real number, theyre probably using VOIP (voice over the internet) and can fake any number they want, because when you call back the number doesnt exist.

I got a call from them today.  I didn't pick up.  Then I looked back through my caller ID and they have been calling for a week, usually when I wasn't home.  weird.

This time, when my sister answered the phone, a woman talked to her about health insurance for her son under LA Care. Evidently they referred her to 888-839-9909, which is the number for the Healthy Families Program. We have gotten letters/phone messages before from them, so it's a little odd why they would call 15 times in three days about this. But that's who they identified themselves as to her, so we're wondering if they're outsourcers or something, because when my sister called the official number, they had no idea who the 213 number was. Weirder and weirder...

This number calls my house all day, everyday. It's so annoying. Usually when I pick up, it just hangs up. Today, however, I did hear a womans voice. She sounded like she had a British accent. She said "Hello" and then was gone. The connection seems to be bad also. Weird.

I hope someone finds out something soon.

I got a phone call asking for my girlfriend or her mom but her mom doesnt even  live here I asked what it was all about and the lady hung up on me I tried calling back and I just got no answer. I tried calling one of those 1 800 numbers suggested but they said they were just a phone company "like at&t" he said.

The same number has been calling my cell everyday for the past week and multiple times a day.  I have called the number back on my home, work and cell and nobody answers.  It is irritating but the weird part is, is that my cell doesn't even ring it just tells me I have a missed call......

Seven times today so far and I have no idea how many yesterday. Would pick up the phone but I don't want to reward them for calling by letting them know my number's active. Judging from people's response above, it sounds like this is pretty common. So far, all I can figure out it that it's an Los Angeles based number (area code) and that according to Intelius's database, it's residential, not a business. Plus, the Level 3 provider info, which was mentioned above.

i usually get a call from this number about every other day. at first i thought it was a wrong number calling me, but it has continued for about two weeks now, the last call being 8/9/07. as others have mentioned they never leave a message, but i have not tried calling back. it's getting kinda annoying.

I got a call on my cell, when I answer nobody's there - it's just quiet. I called back the number and nothing - no ringing, no answer machine - but after 20 seconds I hear a busy signal.

this freak called my cell number. What about you guys? How does he decide who to get or he's just randomly dialing?
