Caller knew my name and identified my computer. He asked me to enter windows icon with r. Then asked to type eventewr. This showed error messages. Then he asked me to enter another code which began anypc. I was suspicious from the beginning and requested a verification to another email account. Also demanded his number which was 213 785 8171. Area code is California but no answer. Is there a way they can gain access to my private on line accounts?

I received a call from this number this morning and after much back in forth conversation I finally got this Samsw to give me the a number to call back and it was this number. The thing is thats isn't the number that came up on my caller id from them. So while he was still talking in very very broken english trying to convince me to follow his directions, I goggled this number and even after telling him what I was reading he continued to talk over me and pushing me to go to my windows so I could verify my ip address. I play along with him by playing stupid because i had but the phone speaker on and was taping the conversation. And this guy was still very pushy. Finally I told him this is being recorded and he hung up on me. I never did give him any of the information he wanted, just wasted his time.

They called on my mothers number and she was clueless unfortunately she came upstairs to ask if we were having computer problems and then she kept asking other stuff finally I realized that some fool had her confused so I took the phone from her.  When I told the idiot who tried to say his name was Ryan Fisher that she doesn't have a computer he tried to run his routine on me saying he was from Best Buy technical support. when I told him we didn't get our computer from Best Buy he then tried to say he was working with Windows and they were getting reports that we were having lots of errors. When I told him do not call again and lose our number he responded in a pouting voice and said "don't call us if you have computer problems then" and hung up.  Note I never called him in the first place. Best Buy should sue them for using their name

Today i received a phone call from a woman with a heavy  Indian accent who says shes calling on behalf of Best Buy technical windows pc care support, she say she needs me to turn on the computer and click on the windows icon and press r. I continued to question her and ask for a number to be reached back at she gives me 213 785 817. THese people have some nerve. First they attempt to scam you then accutually have a number to call them back. I reported them to Best Buy via a telephone call. So just be careful dont turn on your computer or give them any information, also spread the word.

This is a scam. Same thing happened to me. They hacked into my email. When I went for Yahoo help to change password they may have sent me to another bogus site. I have to pay over $70 to Staples technician to fix the damage. Please beware!

I spent 2 hours on the phone with Microsoft office support on Sunday, March 10 and they told me my computer was running smoothly.
I got a call on Monday from 2137858171 (Robert Pearce) saying that they were Microsoft Window PC Technicians.  He said that  I was receiving so many error messages and that my computer was going to crash and I had to access my run window and they would show me the errors.  I went to the computer and it said that I had 93,000 junk emails. I said how could that be possible when I talked to Microsoft yesterday and everything was fine.  They had me doing all this stuff and then they said that I had to purchase a Primary Software because when I bought the computer a month ago they only gave me a demo Primary Software and it had run out.  They took me to a site www.mismactechnologies.com and here was a list of all the primary software that I could buy. I said I am going to talk to someone and then I will call you back.  The number did not work, of course.  These people have to be stopped.  I would like to charge them.  They even gave me an Invoice#0001 and a client ID# IDMIS0001

Do not give these people any information. I received a call from some Indian lady  clara who said my PC was registering numerous virus' and she wanted me to get my computer and allow her to lead me through some cleaning process. First of all I was extremely frustrated because it was very difficult to understand what she was saying and why she was calling me to begin with. Very unprofessional, they don't even give you information as to where they are calling from and why they are calling you to begin with. They just start rambling about viruses...Microsoft...and something regarding repair. Just hang up and don't waste your time.

Just received a call from these individuals. Definitely does not seem like a legitimate business. The website (windowspccaressupport.com) looks phoney and the person that calls just gives general, redundant information about your identity being stolen in order to pressure you into buying whatever they are selling. Also, they scammed my bf into clicking around in the computer to undo warning signs and what not. Hopefully they didn't get him to download a virus as it seems that they are the ones trying to steal identities. Honestly, since when does Windows/Mircrosoft call you to let you know your computer is at risk? NEVER! Beware of the Indian accent telling you your computer is at risk and that only 2 people in the world could have access to your computer id #. RIDICULOUS!!!

My mother received this call yesterday and these people claiming to be Microsoft support had access to my mother computer and was downloading software. I immediately knew something was up because there website had misspelled words. People look out for this scam. Change all of your information because they may already gotten access to it. Also unfortunately, they received money from us ,but I'm canceling all bank information and filing for fraud! There website says Window PC support.

We received a phone call today regarding some sort of "dangerous file" report that was showing up on our Microsoft license.
Ryan, with a  very thick Indian accent, identified himself with Window PC Support for Microsoft.  He wanted us to push the window Icon and the R at the same time...so he could help us resolve this problem.
This just didn't sound legit so I told him I was going to verify the phone call, asked for his phone number, and then he wanted to make sure that I would call him right back...because this was VERY important!
NOT!
Read the rest of the posts...this is a total scam...sounds like they could probably do some real damage to our computers....then charge us to get it removed!

we got a call today same crap as the rest of you but the number is different now..the number is 208-311-6688 and it is a number that is disconnected.  People can access software that can change the phone number they are calling from.  He said he was going to connect us to microsoft and when I gave him the number he didnt transfer me.  I kept him onn the phone for half hour messing with him.  He told me I could call a number in Los Angeles and I would be exactly connected to him.  Bunch of crap.  He told me he googled my info and I didnt exist he did not have any current information form me and he needed it to help me, well if you called my number you should be able to access my account information..right?

I got the same kind of call and they claimed to be Microsoft Cisco, which are actually two companies. Normally the incoming calls are all shown with their firm name (Home Phone Display function), but this one has UNKNOWN NUMBER. Srsly lots of skeptical points.

File a complaint on the Do not call registry.

I got called 4 times yesterday. One time I answered with fake women's voice and they called me Maam. Then I went to my normal voice mid stream on a sentence and they call me sir. They didn't even catch that.

I asked them how they knew it was my computer with this phone number. Do you have my computer's IP address? It was fun to play along for a few minutes, especially when they asked what key was next to the CTRL and ALT keys. They did this so they could figure out if I was on a Mac or PC!!!! Then they wanted to get me to press the Windows + R command, which they would use to run some program to make my computer lockup. Then they would fix my problem for a fee on my credit card. NOT!

I asked for the company name, Window PC Care and Support. Their phone number is 213-785-8171. I called and that was who answered. It was another Indian guy. I yelled to get off their list. We will see.

Also filled complaint on Do Not call registry.

The only way to get these people to stop calling is to wear them down and get black listed.

Dang these ppl!!! They keep calling our work number! I also tried going along with it. They told me my computer had an infection. I asked them if they were computer Doctors and they said YES (LOL). It's hard to understand what they are saying since they have a heavy accent.

They also called my home a few weeks back.

Please do NOT believe these scammers. May they have a nice day & burn in hell :-)

I have told these people to take me off their calling list many times.
They never do and I finally gave up one day. I decided to figure out what they wanted.  I told Hari I don't even have Windows-I own a Mac. He spoke over me, trying to convince me I had a Virus.
I told him that what he was saying did not make any sense.  I even mentioned that I used to be in technical support services .  He didn't understand or hear a word I said, so I just gave up and played along.
I kept asking him to repeat himself and I asked many questions, "What is the name of your company?" , "What's your phone number?", "What do you do?", " Where is this virus, again?", "Are you saying to hold down my CONTROL button?, really, what happens when I do that?"

I had poor Hari so frustrated that he handed me off to another guy, Mark.  I proceeded to drive him crazy too.   I said I would call him as soon as I had a virus and he finally hung up (with a heavy sigh) . If they wouldn't take me off their calling list before then hopefully I am blacklisted now. Yea for me!

I got a call from these blokes... said they are Window PC Care and Support, a certified Microsoft vendor and said they are receiving lots of error messages and that my computer will crash soon and wanted me to access my run window.  Harry qualified me and passed me to a senior supervior Ryan Fisher, and I pressed then and then he gave me this number.  I stalled them and googled the company and it appeared that this may be a scam so I hung up on them.  I can not imagine Microsoft vendor calling me to deal with this.  They were both likely Indian and their number was unavailable on my phone screen.  This sounds like a bunch of bull to me so I hung up.
