Is there any way to shut these people down?

yep, back to back call/hang up purportedly from 213-915-3175.  No message  They called at 9:35am Pacific

yea its been 2-3 months for us also. It started off as a woman asking for both my parents by name then just my mom. Later after a couple weeks it turned to a guy, when I ask what it was regarding he said he would call back and hung up. Ever since then he calls numerous times a day either 3-5 times dailey, no answer and just pure silence in the background. It gets very annoying esp since couple of those calls would be during my 6 month olds nap and it will wake her up.

I receive about 2-3 calls per day on my fax only line.  This has  been happening continuously for 3 months.

We get calls from this number daily, doesn't say anything then hangs up after a little while. In the beginning he would ask for my wife by name then when he is asked what the call is regarding he hangs up. Funny thing is that I have tried calling the number back a few times and I get a recording that the number has been disconnected but that is the number that is coming up on my caller I.D. along with "LosAngeles CA" How is that possible...??

I have a sick sense of humor.  When they start to talk, I interrupt them, and ask if they didn't see the signs I have posted.  The last two asked, "What signs?  I answered I have a sign under my door bell, and one glued to my phone that says: "PLEASE - NO SOLICITING." Then I tell the caller, be careful, I am being monitored by the NSA (National Security Agency) and I have asked them to trace all phone calls to me under the interest of National Security.  By the way, this might be a very challenging assignment our President could give the NSA, spy on the spam callers and not on citizens. My doorbell sign does have an official replica of my cities graphic emblem (the same one that appears on their police cars)... I TOLD YOU I HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR -- WHILE TYPING THIS I RECEIVED A FROM A PRIVATE CALLER)  I ANSWERED WITHE THE GREETING " National Security Agency."   The caller replied, "I am sorry, I have the wrong number," and hung up immediately.  Any replies are welcome and I will read them all.  Good luck to all of us victims of greed and harassments.

Called me and I asked them to put us on his do not call list. He said no.

Called at 2:22P today.  Obvious boiler room line and background noise.  He started to ask if I needed any home remodeling.  I interrupted him and asked him if he was a criminal scammer or an real person.  He laughed and hung up.

These crooks are from Israel begging for jobs. your god didn't bless you crooks???!!!

These people are professional losers! They need real jobs and can't find one so they continue to call people like us and not say anything because they are incapable of putting two sentences together so maybe we should forgive their ignorance!!! HAHAHAHAHA

I think this is some contractor calling.  Heard people talking in the back ground.  When you call the number back you get the message number no longer in service.

THEY CALL AND NO ONE IS ON THE LINE BUT THEY DO NOT HANG UP. I CALLED THE NUMBER AND IT SAYS IT IS NOT A WORKING NUMBER.

PEOPLE, do not do business with anyone who calls from a fake caller ID number.

In fact, if you haven't called a company, don't do business with anyone that calls you to do business over the phone.

3rd they use some sort of deception to "re-introduce" themselves (spoke to you and you were busy but said call back ~ left a coupon on your doorstep when we were in the neighborhood ~ you asked us to call you the next time we had a special.... lies)

If we can't trust them to not violate our preference to not receive these marketing calls, then how can we trust them with our money, our home, our safety, that they are the best option, that they are the best price, that they will do what they say????      WE CAN'T!!!

Besides the people calling are usually telemarketing mills. If you ask for a website, a license, a phone number, or anything that might tie them to a legitimate business, they can't answer because they have not SOLD YOU to anyone yet.

First, they deceive you, then they sell you to the guy who has to live up to their lies. The guy who can't get business without employing these liars.

this # calls my house everyday and wont disclose who they are until i give my name. they start telling me of the promotions they have . they keep calling even though i tell them not to call me

If you have call forwarding then forward this number to the FCC or to one of the other complaint centers like say the Attorney Generals office or the FTC. Do not even bother with talking with these jerks. Anyway you get the idea block the number or forward it. Let your phone features work for you. We forward lots of these fools. The others we just block. These people are fools who are hoping you will actually answer  them, so DON'T. Good luck.

They called me today and told me that I made a request to have an estimate done to get my house painted. No such thing happened. And the lady would NOT tell me where she was calling from.  So annoying.

THEY CALL EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!! EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!! I THREATEN THEM AND THEY STILL WILL NOT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMEBODY HAS TO DO SOMETHING!!!!!

They called again at 10:37 am today, as I was on the phone with my phone company regarding call blocking.  Oh the irony!  I have the *60 feature, but it doesn't work unless I call the phone company and have them create some sort of trouble ticket for their central office to enter in the numbers.  Plus I can block only up to 12 numbers.  I've got 8 in there now, including this one.  Since apparently none of the numbers are in my "area" meaning with my phone carrier, they can't guarantee that the blocking will work.  Fingers crossed!

1:47 today - hangup call.

These idiots were calling me 3-4 times a day. Using my FIOS, I called forwarded these calls to another telemarketer number so now all they get is a message saying "this number is non-allocated". If you have this calling feature, use it, it works!

Two more hangup calls today from this number, the second at  6:56 pm.

This caller, has used different area code & number to call forfree  home  improvement, will be in our area today. According www.800notes.com, many people has filed complaints againt 213-915-3175 since 03/14/2013.today, I told the lady" Your comapny called many times. WWe are on do not call list.: I hung up & returned the call.essage:" It is not working number" as used to be.

The carrier, not the end user,  for this phone number is Bandwidth.com

I called them to complain that  robo call's are being made from this number and they directed me to a link to their legal department to file a complaint.

"Keith" called wondering if I wanted to remodel.  I told him I have my own contractor and am on the do not call list.  He kept talking - about getting a second opinion.  I talked over him and told him not to call again.
