This is seriously suspicious.  I got a call from this number, and immediately got one from a number that has been identified as somehow getting past Nomorobo by calling twice in close succession.  It may actually be the Center Theater Group's number, but I'll bet it isn't actually them on the other end.

Maybe that's how they get past Nomorobo - call from a spoofed legitimate number and somehow hang on to the connection.  The call log did show that the first call was 'missed', which is what happens when Nomorobo blocks a call.

I too got a call on my mobile from this # during lunch today, no name came up on the caller ID. I didn't  answer and they left no message. I believe it is indeed CTG though as I also purchased some tickets a while back. I agree with Wendy, it's really not cool for them to use our info this way; while I get that non-profits are hurting this probably doesn't help. Thanks to arts lover for the info on the county office prefixes, definitely useful to know!

This number is for Center Theatre Group, which runs the Mark Taper Forum and Ahmanson Theatre at the Music Center complex in downtown LA as well as the Kirk Douglas Theater in Culver City. It is a sales call, probably for season tickets. Worth a listen if you like plays and musicals as they do have good season pricing and options.  

Any phone number with the 972- prefix in (213) area code is a county office. (Music Center is a county facility)

This person has called my cell repeatedly, usually around 6:30 pm. I never answered because I didn't recognize the number. I finally did today and the guy started w/some b/s and I cut him off and told him to stop calling this number. He immediately acted like he had the wrong # and hung up. He was trying to sell me something.

Season ticket sales for Center Theater Group (Ahmanson/Mark Taper)

Call comes over as "Music Center" on the caller ID.  We never pick it up, but after visiting this site, seeing people say it is the Ahmanson Theater Group.  I tend to believe that as we just bought play tickets in December for Ahmanson.  I'm sure they are selling something.   But gee, if I'm interested in a play, I usually seem THEM out.  ha ha

I didn't pick-up the call this time, but I've gotten it in the past.

They sell season tickets to the Ahmanson Theatre, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Mark Taper Forum and... (I can't remember the other one) in Downtown Los Angeles.  Anyway, they probably have your number from some previous ticket purchase you've made...  If you like that sort of thing, it might be worth listening to their deals... I've bought season tixs a few times for great prices.
