I have received several calls from this # caller says his name is Roger Moore, and that I need to call him, he says if I ignore the call all he will say is good luck, he does not say what call is about, his english is very bad, he sounds hispanic, weird considering the name given.

They are an international scam. They hack into people's systems nd gather large amounts of private information. They will tell you that you owe money on a payday loan and theere is a lawsuit against you fora ll kinds of charges. They say things like, "if you don't respond good luck or only God can help you". Immediately put a freeze on your credit report and get identify theft services. What they want is for you to wire them a large sum of money to "drop the lawsuit". They are a fraud and ignore them.

I received a call on my vm from Jim Hawkins stating that I needed to call about a matter of extreme sensitivity and if I didn't call or have my attorney call then good luck to me.  When I called back I didn't get Jim Hawkins but a Joseph Hernandez.  Both men had very heavy foreign accents and it was very difficult to understand them.  The lines kept getting disconnected.  "Jospeh" told me that I owed a pay day loan and couldn't verify the name of the company.  He said that I received 16 emails and because I didn't reply to them that's why I'm being sued.  I hadn't received even one email of the sort.  He wanted me to fax him a note and have the fax notarized stating that I authorize him - not a company - but a person to withdraw money from my account and give my credit card number, exp date and 3 digit security code.  He knew my aunt and uncle's names that I have used as a reference for a previous payday loan and also called and left a message at my job.

If you get a call like this it's a scam! Call the BBB and the Attorney General in your state as well as make a fraud alert to the credit bureaus.  I was also informed to notify the Federal Trade Commission.

I got a call this morning from a :Roger:, whom I could barely understand. He urged me or my attorney to call him back urgently or I was going to be in serious trouble. I don't think it is too serious to worry about, but I did notice someone said they do hold a lot of personal information.  So just keep a close eye on your checking accounts and credit report.
