Received a call today at 12:27PM, a robo call saying daughters bank card was inactivated for security reasons and wanted us to enter all the digits on the card to reactivate the card. I hung up and called our bank, they said there was no problems with the card and the call was bogus and complaints have been coming in all day. An obvious try at ID theft. Watch out.

Got the same kind of robo call regarding a Visa card at our local credit union -- where we don't have a credit card. Obviously the phishers are at it again. The caller ID said Screencheck NA and the number was 1 214-231-5349. Called the credit union to report it.

I got the same thing, but at my law enforcement agency phone number, and home number as well. At the same time, the cell number got the call from a Mexican country code. Both were within 5 minutes of each other.

Just got the same thing. Also got a call from the 85230519900.

Okay...my call came in at 2:14 AM. I couldn't get to the phone in time so I didn't answer. I'm blocking the call for the future.

Got a call on my office phone from this no 85230519900. did not pick up the phone, its a weird no, got one extra digit

this number called it rang twice, i called back bc i get random numbers calling me that people i know. it was an automative message saying would u like to connect to some sort of person it also said i need the first 3 digits of last name.

We rec'd a call on Jan.27th,'09 at 10:30pm. Same as all the others. Our card had been suspended because a 3rd party was using it & we needed to enter the 16 digits. We hung up & have reported to the local police.

Received a call at 1:30AM.  Scared me to death i thought someone had gotten hurt or died.  Prerecorded message saying that my credit union card had been flagged for suspicious activity. I hung up.  
Caller Id was 214-231-5349 and said Unknown name.  
I plan to report it to the local pd and Better Business tomorrow morning.

Call came in at 8:26 sm. Did not recognize number, so did not answer.  Also, they called on my cell phone.  I would like to know how they got that number.

The exact same thing happened to me.  I believed it at first but didn't catch which company they were calling from so I had to fake the number to hopefully talk to a real person.  I figured that when I put in the wrong information they would come on the line to verify, but no one did, which made me even more suspicious.  No answer when I called back so I looked on line and found all of these similar stories.

Call was from a recording stating it was my bank and mentioned the possible 3rd party activity. Said they deactivated my card (For my protection). Then wanted to pass me to the security dept to re-activate card. When at the so called security dept: Another recording asked me to enter my card number. At that point (Before entering any numbers) I hung up and called my bank. There was nothing wrong with my card.

As a note: Please do not even enter a false number, there is a possibility that you type in someone else's actual number and then they would have problems. Just hang up and call your bank to tell them about the scam.

Got a call from this number at 3:48AM.  Didn't answer (obviously) but did read the other posts.  Unbelievable

This lovely call woke me up @4:30 this morning! I didn't pick up but I did a search on here and couldn't believe it-I thought someone may have died or something

I really LOVE theese phone number sites!! I just got the call this morning and I NEVER answer calls I don't know. That's what voice mail is for. If it's that important believe me they leave messages LOLOL But I looked up this number right after the call. So now I'm VERY prepared on how I will deal with this call *Grins* Thank you all for sharing!!

They just called my phone and hung up before I could answer.

Just received a call from this number.

It was an automated female computer voice which stated my card was disabled because of possible "3rd party use"

It walked me through giving a (fake) 16digit card number, exp date and pin #.

It then hung up on me.

Just got a call from this number. same as Bea, rang then hung up when I answered.

Just did a reverse lookup of this number and it comes back as

Same thing here... trying to get information over the phone.  DO NOT GIVE ANYONE PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE!!!
