Calling back, this number is "not in service." That proves the scam. When will we ever get protection from these caller-id spoofers?

Got this call but we never answered it. If we don't recognize the caller and they don't leave a message then we don't answer. NOT EVER. I just love caller ID and answering machines.

Received a call from this number 12:30 pm Sunday, they did not leave a message. After reading the above comments I decided to call the number back and there was a recorded message "that the person I was trying to reach has a voice mailbox that has not been set up yet". Imagine that!!! I was trying to reach them.

A lot of big call centers and scammers have computerized equipment that automatically dials phone numbers until it hits one that works. That is how they usually get through to unlisted numbers. So it really doesn't help much to be on a Do not call list either.
