Got a call from a Miss Shepherd. There's a lot of vague legal talk for a recovery company. My phone is currently billed to my boss, and has been for a bit over 1 year. In their voicemail, they refer to my boss' name instead of mine. I'm assuming they are getting numbers and names from some directory and randomly calling, hoping to land a fish. Sounds like a scam so of-course, off to the old 800notes I go. Seems about right. They mentioned a case number so I called my boss just to make sure this wasn't something important. He had no idea who they were.

Reporting on my credit. The system don't care about the people . We need to wake up now. There's a hidden message my people read , think , watch as well as pray. The devil is real and busy here on earth running around with no shoes on . Who does that?

Received a phonecall today from CRS from someone named Mr. Green, stating that on behalf of the Finalization Department for my county, there is an affidavit of complaint for petition of civil suit of garnishment out of that county to be signed off on of 5/24/2013, and that I need to understand the severity of this situation.  My failure to respond to this will automatically relinquish any rights and proceeding against my social, and will be executed against me involuntarily.  I have 24 hours to return the call, and that I have been officially notified.  Mr. Green YOU DON'T SCARE ME!!  If you had any sense, you should know that without being properly served, without going to court and getting a judgment against me, and without you filing a writ of garnishment, you can't have my wages garnished!!  How dare you try to scare me into contacting you.  If someone contacts you and tries to scare you into contacting them by giving you a "case number" telling you that a summons has been filed and served against you, you can easily go to your county's court website and find out if a summons or writ has indeed been filed against you.  Find out what your state's Statute of Limitations is for collecting debt, and let that be your defense if these scumbags do attempt to take you to court.  Don't let these people scare you into doing something that can hurt you.

they called me saying they were garnish my wages and it would be filed in court on tuesday.... lol it was from 11 years ago and i have since filed bankruptcy and then they tried to say bankruptcy   doesnt cover things that old and they would make a deal with me ...lol yeah right scammers

They are SCAM and I also report this number and block it from my cell phone.

Dittos - totally bogus call saying that I need to have my attorney call them.  I ask about what and they claim they can not give out that information.  Now leaving threatening messages.

I immediately googled the phone number and then filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission - Consumer Protection. I did try to call these jokers back to find out what they were calling about, but they have not returned my call. I'll just kindly give them the FTC reference number. Take that...!

These people have to be the stupidest on earth.  Got a message from a "Debbie Wolf," claiming she had to speak to me immediately regarding an "urgent legal matter" and if I did not call they would be getting "a judgment against" me.  Never identified their firm, or that they were attempting to collect a debt. Called back, already knowing what is was about...yep, just as I suspected. A case of fraud involving my ex-wife opening a credit card account in my name fraudulently. Calmly explained this was addressed in California Superior Court, and judge had ruled ex is responsible for debt. "Debbie" claimed they did not have to honor that (BS, dumb a**) and then transferred me to "Ray Leonard."  Oh, this guy is a REAL piece of work. Informed me he was recording call, then proceeded to rip into me, insulting me, my wife, my family. Threatened to file a lawsuit THAT DAY (go for it, bi***) if I did not make payment arrangements. Asked, politely, for proof of the debt, in particular my "signature," which would have been impossible as I never signed anything for the creditor.  "Ray," of course, refused, saying he didn't "have to show me a damn thing." Told him until he was ready to he should not call me or I would report him and his firm to the appropriate state and federal consumer agencies. He told me to go right ahead.  So I did.

This people try to be tricky when calling you.  I said Hello and the Lady from CRS said my name and ask me how I was doing like she knew me then proceeded to tell me her office had a case pending against me.  I hung up and she called back and left a voicemail never bother to indicate it was a Collection Call which is required by law.  My debit is more than 8 years old and this people are trying to collect.

Received a call from a woman named "Nina Ross" and she was incredibly rude! I am not even the person with the "debt", it is my roommate, but she got my name off of our voicemail message. She told me to "woman up and stop being a little bi***." After I hung up on her she continued to call, until it got too much to take and I shut my ringer off. She said my name is on the "docket", even though my roommate and I don't even have a bill in both of our names. She was obviously just trying to bully me to get information out of me, but I wasn't born yesterday so I'm not going to fall for her tactics and give her any information and no one else should either. If this is a real debt that needs to be collected, under the law, they have to send you a statement with the balance and name of the original company, if you request it. So for everyone receiving calls from this woman or company make sure you ask for a copy of your debt statement.

lady was named denise hall, 214 7811 was the 800 # and a case number was provided.
they also stated my place of employment and my credit report had recent hard inquiry.
'process circle'....will be coming to my home or place of employment....these people are nuts.

A guy called me twice back to back stating he was investigating a case against me in my county in Florida and that I needed to comply with the investigation and the courts! I hung up on this very threatening individual.  He called right back and left a long message!

I recently received two phone calls just recently claiming that she had a case against me that they wished to get my side of the story.    This was in spite the fact that on our answering service we clearly stated that "If you are a creditor, we will only accept written correspondence."  "Lisa Carter" as she identified herself, wasn't rude, yet just the fact that she called my phone in succession when she did was a clear cut case of harassment.  I am not going to be intimidated by a bunch of sharks claiming to have some case against me.  Either send me something in writing that is official or stop bothering me and taking up precious space on my answering machine.

Beware that they may hit your credit report as the did with me.. They go by Commercial Recovery Systems.

Getting calls from someone who identifies himself as an investigator.. When I spoke to him I asked if he was a Police Officer as he stated he had a case that was forwarded to him.. He told me he was an investigator and tole me he had a case for $21,000 against my wife and I and if they filed it they would file a lein against my home... He tried to get me to verify my social security number and I would not do so nor would I confirm withhim who I was.. finally hung up on him

Yep. Among the complaints being investigated include:

A Virginia consumer alleged that Commercial Recovery Systems called her at work and at home for eight months. CRS? calls often displayed as ?unknown caller? on her caller ID.

The consumer alleged that when she spoke with a CRS representative, the representative refused to identify herself after the consumer expressly asked her to do so.

A Virginia consumer alleged that CRS harassed and abused her by taunting her, mocking her, ridiculing her, insulting her, and directing profanity at her.

The FDCPA lawsuit alleged that CRS? harassing and abusive language included calling consumer a ?punk a** ho?, a ?deadbeat bitch?, and ?deadbeat ho? who likes to ?go out and get sh*t without paying for it?.

They have been calling our house for months now claiming that a person with no connection to us listed us as co-signers on a loan.  I called back to try to get it resolved and they became abusive and threatening.  

FTC complaints sure, but time to take these folks on.  

I searched them on the Internet and a law firm in Dallas is investigating them. Go to deanmalone.com, and either leave your name or call and ask to speak to Michael O'Connor.  214 670 9989 extention 2004. Their website lists them as specializing in Debt Collection Abuse.

My mother received a call from them, saying they were calling her as they didn't want me to have any embarrasing calls at work. She told the woman go ahead call her at work if you have the number. The woman hung up on her...

This company (if you can can call them that is a peice of work) its funny they called today as I just got approved for a mortgage, makes you wonder who they are working with to have that kind of timing!!

Really strange. I haven't received any phone calls from this company, but I checked my credit report and had a hard inquiry from them!

I received a call today in the am. they left me a vm saying that i had a judgement against me and needed a statement from me within 24hrs. WHAAAT??? thats not even how judgements work. i have been working for law firms for 10 years and never has anyone in the legal system needed a statement from the defendant once the judgement has been filed. and the guy said his name was VINCENT THOMAS but at the end of the message he repeated his number and said his name was MR. JACKSON. ha. nice. so much for legit.

I got the same message in my cell and they said they will do investigation on a complain on my name.

I got a message from them today saying that they are going to have their secretary do an asset investigation on me and garnish my wages. They also said they are going to call me at work and embarrass me unless I call them back. The debt they are calling on is over 5-10 years old and it was from a case of identity theft. Either way I think it seemed a bit strange, who tells the person that there going after that there going to look into their assets. Any smart person would not give a forewarning or the person would move their assets. This to me sees like a collector making 10 bucks an hour trying to pretend like he's a professional. I believe my state won't let a collector collect due funds after 2 years. Beware of these guys.

This guy call my office and was rude, totally unprofessional, looking for some lady that did not work there.  He threaten to get the cops over and incarcerate me for some oustanding debts and other crazy details.  Whoever this person works for needs to know that's not the proper way to reach out and collect something plus they are in clear violation of any person rights.  They hung up twice so I could not get more detailed information.

I got a call from them today and they left a message to call them in regards to a claim number that I have no idea where they get it from.

30 + hangup calls made to my work cellphone in the last two weeks.(not in my name, it's in my employer's name). Tried to call them back, get a voicemail box that's full and cant take any new messages. I have excellent credit, and my work cellphone has been in my employer's (Fortune 100 company) for 10+ years. These people are desperate AND clueless.

I got a call from these jerks. Mr.McCallister is who contacted me. He left a message on my phone saying he had a complaint filed against me. Did not leave the name of his company or anything. When I called back a woman had taken my call. She didn't even want to tell me the name of the company or anything wwith out my ref. number. Which I thought was very unprofessional of them. Then after the whole spill, she said I had 24 hours to pay them or they had a court order to garnish my wages. Which I never recieved anything mailed or served to me to appear in court. Who do these people think they are. After I called them back saying I have my attorney waiting to go to court, they changed there tune. They said they did NOT have a subpoena to take me to court.That they were trying to settle the debt. These people need to stop and stop trying to lie and bully people!

I received a call from this number yet again.  The guy (Michael Stone) said a case has been filed with the county clerk against me & if I wanted to avoid summons to have legal counsel contact him.  WTF?!  When I answered the call the day before the guy refused to send me any information in writing.  Filed a complaint with the FTC.

Law offices of Dean Malone are pursuing this company for fraud and are looking for references of harrassment to contact them they are located in Dallas Tx
