Sales call, trying to get donations. Caller ID shows SW PR, say they are Shriner's

Received call from this "Jim Cason" today as well. He has called multiple times before but never leaves a message. Asked to speak with our CEO but pronounced his first name wrong, which is a dead giveaway that he does not know him. I asked who he was with (name of company) and he replied "I'm not with anyone, just tell him to give me a call" then impolitely hung up.
Glad I saw this posting.

The caller claims that he is raising funds for a Fraternal Order of Police. I think the guy is a scam, marauding as a retired police officer.

I received a phone call from this number, didn't catch the name, but he said he was calling on behalf of the State of Texas Police officers, asking for donations for the families of police officers that had been killed in the line of duty. He told me that they only called "friends" of police officers, and not criminals. He also stated that if I made a donation, they would give me a police badge sticker that "won't get me out of tickets" but officers do promise to smile and wave as they drive past, and a letter for tax purposes. When I asked if I could make the donation at a later date, he told me no, and that the only way to pay would be today by check by phone, or credit card, which put me on alert, and led me here. I definitely think this is a scam! I hope this helps somebody

Got a call today and he asked for the owner of the company. I told him that the owner is not available and if he wants to leave a message. He didn't want to leave a message. He called from 214-351-3761. Thankfully, we can block numbers from calling our office.

Our business is getting calls from 214-351-3761 repeatedly. They ask for the President and when ask who's calling, says he's with the Dallas City Police/Fraternal Order of Police and wants to talk to him about a civil matter. We've asked them not to call, but they won't stop calling and they are fradulent and harrassing!

Same thing happened here today (6/28/12). Man called looking for the President/CEO who wasn't in the office today. Just said he'd call back later and gave no info but caller ID & Bing are an awesome combo. Next time he calls I'll ask him if he's with the Fraternal Order of Police and see what he has to say.

He called today our office too and left his name as Joshua Needle, asking for the owner to call back, sounds totally fraud.

Caller said his name was Bob Jackson with the Addison Fraternal Order of Police with a civic matter. I know from experience that he's selling something. I told him the owner was on another line. He insisted on holding. I tried getting his number several times to which he said they were switching buildings, and their switch board was down. Umm, dummy, your number shows up on caller ID. I put him on hold for several minutes; the owner got on the phone with him; he's selling some sticker that "won't get you out of a ticket." The owner called the Addison police department to learn there is no such thing as the Fraternal Order of Police.

A man calling looking for the owner, was denied access. He said will call later. Never said who he was or who he was with.

Called today -- got through the IVR but there was no one on the line. Left the phone off the hook until they finally hung up.

Got a call from this number and left a callback number of: 214-638-0630. Caller's name was "Jim Cason" and stated he was with the Dallas Sheriffs. (He did not say the official title like: Dallas County Sheriff's Department...as that would likely be illegal and fraudulent..and he knew it). He said they were affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Police and wanted a donation. I told him I wanted to validate their existence and he lost interest. They also would not send anything electronic (like email) so that I could verify who they were...he would only send a fax. Totally a scam.

Calls every week asking for an executive and the minute I say that he is in a meeting, says that he is going to call back but drops his name at the end to sound legit - This is Jim Cason. Sounds very phishy.

Calls our office every other day or so, but hangs up before leaving a message. Caller ID says "SW PUBLIC".
