I think it might be from a employment recruiting agency called Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC (DISYS). I got a call from them but didn't answer, then saw a follow up email.

Someone claiming to represent Microsoft regarding a virus that he says has been installed on my computer, calls periodically. This is obviously a scam, designed to separate people from their money, using fear. My computer is a MAC, which runs OSX, not Windows from Microsoft!!!!!
I know it's tough to find jobs right now, but these people should be ashamed of themselves - enough to try to to find real, honest employment.

I answered this call because it was a local number, although it had a phony caller ID.  The woman knew my name, vehicle description, and model.  I hung up on her, figuring it was a sales call of some kind.  I am also on the DNC list.

This number called the a couple nights ago, nobody was on the other end. I called back and it said the number was disconnected.  Needless to say I was furious to be woken up at 1:30am. Until I saw this post I had no idea that it was a scam attempt.

I work for Chase bank and we are seeing a ton of customers asking about similar scam calls. If is in fact YOUR BANK that calls you, you have every right to be cautious.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION and ask if you can call them back.  Don't call the number they give you (I doubt they will give you one), but call your bank directly, the number on the back of your card should be the best.

If it is actually the bank on the other end, they should be able to tell you the last four of your debit card, and they should know your name. If not, call a number you KNOW is your bank.

I can't tell you how many people have been vicitmized like this...DON'T BE ONE OF THE VICTIMS

This is a robo call from a computer. If you answer, hang up immediatley. The computer will figure out when you will answer and then the second or third call will be a live person trying to get information from you.

I just got the same call from 214-431-4217 saying it is wells fargo and I have limited access to my card enter info to reactivate it. It's a scam hang up.

Called at 2:20 A.M. this morning, didn't make it to phone on time, have no idea who called, and from reading other posts, it was not a loss. Just not happy that it woke me up!

I just got a call from this same phone number three times in succession around 11:00 pm mountain time.  I tried calling them back after I read this info.  I was unable to get through, which solidifies that this is a scam phone number.  Thanks for the info everyone!

I received a Phone call from this number.  I am on the Nation do not call listing.  All you need to do is report it to the Do not call bureau and they will investigate the Company.  And revoke their business license.  It is an interstate crime to do what they are doing.  Go to:

I keep getting a call from this number on my call and home phone. What is going on?

This is a scam. They are call and tell you your Wells Fargo account is limited. They are trying to get your bank information.  Beware!!!!!

Got a call from this number at 7:37 pm 8/24/11 ... at least it wasn't at 2 am like some of the other calls have been. So how do these numbers get shut down?

I keep receiving calls from this number asking me to activate my Wells Fargo debit card. I haven't had a Wells Fargo account for years. I actually got a person once, but as soon as I said I didn't have a Wells Fargo account any more and asked them to remove me from their calling list, they hung up on me. Now, I can't get to an actual person anymore, and I have no idea where or who the calls are actually comming from. They just keep trying to get me to enter my 16 digit debit card number.

Just got the same call as rest of you at 10:21 pm.  I usually don't answer numbers I don't recognize, but my hubby answered it and handed it to me. I don't use wells fargo either, so I tried calling the number back.  Busy every time.

Can't call the number back. . but they can call me?  I called it back and go the automated "this is a non working number" recording.

Got a call from this number last evening.  Only the number showed up on the caller ID, with no name.  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, especially on my cell since I have only given that number to family and a few close friends, and don't use it for anything else.  They did not leave a message.  I would NEVER give bank info to someone who called me.  If I thought they were even remotely legit, I would tell them I'd call the bank myself.  And give info to a robo-call?  No way!

I agree with you Mr. Upset lol I got my call at 5:04 am. I'm a telemarketers myself and that is a BIG no no to call before 9 am and 8 am on the east coast. Like HUGE lawsuits kind of no no lol wells Fargo smart enough to have FDIC, they wouldn't be dumb enough to force themselves into using it lol

Have been getting calls from various different numbers all claiming to be Wells Fargo. However, this number called me at 12:45 AM! last night. It is not Wells Fargo, DO NOT give any information to them.
