This fax number WAS from the company you mentioned. BUT, we cancelled the account (in November 2009) and VONAGE (our phone company) gave this number to some other person. This fraud is under scrutiny by police right now.

Received this message as well - according to google, it's a fax # from an IT company in Irving, TX called "Evincesys". I've never heard of them but the scam needs to cease!

Just got a text from this number that says: "Wachovia Alert: Your card starting with **** has been deactivated. Please contact us at 214-432-4462 to reactivate." If you call the number, it rings a couple of times then disconnects.
I know it's a scam especially since it lists the first 4 digits of the CC number and not the last 4, since that's what every one else does.
