Prank Call
They call me numerous times a week on my cell phone. When I can't  answer. The other morning I answer and the guy on the other end with out any greeting " does your company take credit cards?" i say take me off your list and I hung up. Very annoying. Why can't the phone companies call these people back and or cancel service when annoyance calls are made from a certain number? I guess it's like anything else the criminal always gets away with it.

When people call, asking to speak to the owner of the business, I just say "No!".  They don't know what to say next.  Its funny.  No customer ever calls, asking for the owner of the business.  Its a tell-tale sign of some form of telemarketing or scam.

I got this call today, again asking for the owner of the business.

Actually, that is not 100% correct. Our business has been on the do not call registry since 2003. I don't see where it says a business cannot be on the registry.

I assist elderly people that live in their own homes. This number 214-440-0271 is obviously fishing for prey. I'm concerned they might be taking advantage of our senior citizens too. When the elderly answer the phone, it's obvious they are in their 70's and 80's. That may explain all the immediate hang-ups. Somewhere along the line they must be succeeding with their scams because they continue to plague our lives. Shut them down!

214.44.0271 scam call.  Caller asked if I was the business owner.  Said "Mr Fritz" wanted to stop by tomorrow at 11:00 to explain my new Visa rate charge.  Seriously??  Fishing to find out if I was going to be at the address for the Visa card at 11 tomorrow??  Trying to use the card??  These calls are really annoying...if it is not this one it is the medical place trying to tell me I have had a bladder sling operation (according to my medical record).  The do not call list doesn't work for residential numbers.  AND, when you tell them not to call and take your number off their list - they just call again from another phone number.  Very frustrating.  My blocked call list is getting longer every week.

When I answered I heard the woman on the other line laughing and talking to someone else. Then she asked for the owner of the company, and before I could even say he was unavailable she said she would call back when he comes in and hung up. Very annoying telemarketers

I think it is a mentally disturbed person who is dialing at random just to get a reaction from people.  I heard a television playing loudly in the background when she called me.  On the third "hello?", it sounded like she mumbled something about my mouth and then hung up.  Mental.

These pricks keep calling my business number but don't leave any message.  That would be annoying by itself except that I had my number forwarded while traveling overseas.  Of course they rang in the middle of the night while I was in Australia.   Don't get mad, make a formal complaint   https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action   and fill out an official FCC complaint.

Called 2 times in a row so I answered - thought it might be a customer. But it was a super pushy credit card salesman, asking all kinds of questions about the business. Didn't listen, just blurted out words. Asked me if I knew some associate that would come by, tried to get my address because hey had an old one. Had to hang on up on him to get him to stop.

I answered the phone with my company name. A woman asked to speak with the owner. I responded with "how may I help you?" She said she was calling on behalf of Verizon. I told her I had Verizon here before and was very unhappy with the quality of service from them and that I will never do business with them ever again. She said "ok, thank you and have a good day."

DO NOT CALL list only works with legitimate companies.  The scammers and con artists aren't going to adhere to the do not call list so I don't know why we get upset when they call.  The crooks are not going to check to see if you're on the do not call list before they try to shake you down for every thing you've got.  I used to get angry about calls from organizations and solicitations and what not until I realized that the legitimate honest people are not the ones calling.  There's really no way to stop these scammers, junk debt collectors, con artists, thieves, and dishonest people from calling and calling and calling again and again.  However, you can stop them from interrupting you by blocking their calls.  The first time I get an unrecognized number I'll let it go to voice mail.  If I'm in front of my computer I'll google the number and see what comes up.  More often than not there's a reference to 800notes.com and I'll just ignore the call and when I have time on my iPhone mark the contact "BLOCK".  If they're too aggressive, I'll add them to my Verizon Wireless call blocking feature (only blocks something like 10 numbers so it's not sufficient to stop these people).  I just don't let it get to me anymore, I just hit "Block Contact" and that takes the control from them and puts me in control.  So stop whining about Do Not Call because these a-holes are simply not going to check it before they call you to scam you for all your money.

The company is apex marketing group in plano, tx. Their main number is 214-440-0200. If you google apex marketing group in Plano Texas you can go to a link with their management team. Then call the main number and push the button for the "directory" which will allow you to spell the last name of any executive that you looked up, then it will connect you to them and you can let them know how you feel about their company's unrelenting boiler room phone calls to your number.

If everyone does it, they will get a taste of their own medicine and perhaps end their harassing phone calling business practices!

Showed up as Express Process on caller id. Caller apparently was not paying attention, and when I said "hello"  after answering first with the business name, she then said, "sorry honey, I have the wrong number".  We are getting a lot of calls asking for the business owner and a majority are just people wanting to get your credit card machine business. Probably just another scam.

If you all haven't yet, file a complaint with the FTC https://www.donotcall.gov against these A$$hats.  They are rude, don't stay on the line long enough to ask to be put on their do not call register, you can't call them back...

They called today asking to speak with the owner and I said it was me.  They asked for verification of my address and I said it was correct.  Normally they don't get that far with me, but I was feeling friendly today.  Then the pushy b*st*ard told me that at 1pm tomorrow someone would come by with a 10-15 minute presentation.  I asked what it was about and he said "to check my credit card rates".  I told him nicely "no thank you".  He asked why and I said I was happy with my provider and didn't want to meet with anyone.  He then said AGAIN that the guy would be here at 1pm tomorrow.  I told him I get these calls a number of times a week and then I told him he'd be wasting his time because I didn't want to meet with anyone.  He asked again why.  So like a 12 year old I said "cuz I don't wanna and you can't force me into it".  It's just ANOTHER company who wants your credit card business.  I only go with reputable companies when it comes to money.  Very pushy person - I don't like those people.
