I keep getting calls from this company. They keep calling for a Marquita Simmons. I do not know her and have told them several times that I have no idea who she is and that I have had this phone number since August 2012. I told them I will charge them with harrasment if it continues and it does. They can't seem to put me in contact with someone who is American and speaks clear English. I pay for my minutes as I have a pay as you go phone. I need help stopping this.It is causing me alot of stress.

I just received a call from this same numebr on the voice mail.  The man had a thick accent 802-368-1115 saying he was calling from an investigative division and legal action will be taken against me if I didnt return the call  I saw the number on ID phone  I have registerd this number on the DO NOT CALL LIST and I willbe report this number to FTC

I don't know this man he call non stop... tell me I better respond or my attorney if I don't he wish me luck.. saying legal actions has been taking against me...I need to call.... I wish he would stop

I've traced the number to a small village in Jacksonville Vermont.I'm gathering more info in order to report them to their carrier.The man who was handed the phone tried to bully me also.I told him to send any paperwork regarding this matter to the address on file.He told me to go to the court so I said fine I'll make that phone call.We were in a yelling match on the phone.I've already called the police in order to have a report number on hand in case anything happens.I've also called the Attorney Generals' office to report the scam.Any agency you can find that takes reports on scams,report them.Make a police report and tell them how he threatened you. Don't take this lying down.Fight back.I am.

I have received numerous calls from this number, stating that a lawsuit is being filed against my name and social security number.  THIS IS A SCAM!  They get your information from online loan applications and other methods.  Ask them to tell you the county in which the lawsuit is filed and why you have not received a copy.  By law, you must be served with a summons and complaint in a lawsuit, and you have a certain number of days (depending on the state) in which to file an answer to such complaint.  A debt is a CIVIL matter, not a criminal matter.  They cannot arrest you.  In fact, it is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for them to threaten to have you arrested.  Let them know you want them to send you a copy of the summons and complaint, the name of the creditor and the amount of the debt, all in writing.  Let them know they are violating the FDCPA by threatening to arrest you.  REPORT THIS TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT.  It is a scam and they have already suckered over $5 million out of people who believed they truly owed this non-existent debt.

Just dont answer or block number if you can

These people have been calling my daughters phone trying to get me.I've traced the phone back to Jacksonville Vermont with a population of 222.I did a search of the businesses there and ther is no business with that phone number.Start reporting this to the police and get a report number with the date and everything so that you can keep track.Call the social security office and see if they'll be able to do anything.especially if you think they have your number.I don't panic anymore because I've had a lot of these scams.My credit sucks so I don't know why they're trying it on me.

Rec'd a call from this number twice today within 20 mins of each other.  I did take out a loan and have a payoff date of 1/28/13.  I don't beleive they would have someone from India call me.  Her English is very bad and she has the audacity to threaten me!!  I have not returned the call and won't.  I will let them sweat it out.  I don't usually answer my phone anyway if I don't recognize the number.  I read everyone else's comments and to hear that they have your SSN# is frightening!!!  I would suggest to each and everyone that is being harrassed by these people to tread lightly and if you have to cuss them out to get your point accross, by all means, go for it!  Be safe and knowledgable.

I just got 3 calls from this number 802-368-1115 and they left a message treatening me and she wished me good luck as this matter unfolds on me. And then had the nerve to say God Bless you. She did sound like someone from India and her accent was very thick. What can I do?

number keeps calling me saying i took out a loan.I did not i am unemployed and have no checking accounts.He was very rude told me to get a lawyer that the cops are picking me up tomorrow and im being sued!! what a joke my credit sucks and i am unable to get a credit card or even a loan.please shut these people down.

I have a calls from this number plus three other different numbers reported it to my local police they said if you get anymore calls dont answer your phone dint reply to voice mails. When I got the first call from this number they left a voice mail said her name was Lisa brown and there was a lawsuit against me. So I called the number asked to speak to her and of course she was busy. Talked to someone named kelly Smith I asked her when was this so called lo deposited into my account she couldnt give me the exact day just that is wad between the years 2008 and 2012. She had asked me if I had a lawyer said no the next day I called back and said just to let you know I have a attorney now and she said why do you have a attorney wete your attorney I said I don't think so. They will try and scare you they will tell you that you will be arrested and there will be a block on your social security. Oh yea also I stopped answering my phone so then a man left a voice mail saying I was running from the situation and if I didn't return his call thete would be a chapter 9 filed against me. Ok good luck on that since there is no chapter 9 told attorney that he couldn't believe they said that. Anyway just what for this number people don't answer your phone if you see this number.

yes i get the same call he sounds like he's from india he allway's ask's for frank hernandez i have been getting these calls for the past 2 month's i told him ther is no frank here please dont call back or take my phone # off the list one day he called 6 times in one day i was very upset so i was rude and called him an a***ole  and hung up on him and he called back and told me i will kill you bi*** yes it's scary

I received a call from this number this morning, I am not a nice guy when you call me with b***s***, I know all of my debts and there a only a few, nand they are cared for on a monthly  basis, I have NO outstanding loan or anything else, they have f****d with the wrong person, now I'm after them, don't be afraid, get mad and if it no a legitimate debt f*** them back, don't get mad get justice!

I also received a call from this number stating that my social security number was under investigation, and that the sherif would be at myb door. The party on the other line called repeatedly. There is also another number that has been calling me. The Afican person on the other side said he was calling from the Attorney Generals Office that I owed $432.00. He verified the last four digets of my social, address, and name.

This person gave me the same treatment. Sounded like someone from India and he said he was a detective.... Please... I recieved several of these a couple years ago, just hang up on them and laugh!!! Or get a loud whistle and blow it until they hang up....lol

This is what I did.  I went to my local police department and an officer called them and tried to verify information.  Since then the calls have stopped.  That was on 1/7/2013

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Lisa Brown called from Legal Invetigations Department and said had information regarding my name, address and since I wouldn't call them back or answer when they called, I was going to be dragged to the court house. Anything that happened was my fault. She did wish me good luck and God Bless before she hung up. Another gentleman called from the same number. They are always foreign sounding and there is always a ton of background noise.

I have been receiving the same call. India accent with an american name. They have been calling me everyday. Than I received the same call from a different number 508-499-8523. Both of these people are calling me at the same time. They stated that this is a legal matter and there are charges filed against my social security number.

This is  a scam. When they call asked fof a attorney's bar number. If they state they are suing you  by law they must give you the court it's filed with, the attorney's name and bar number. They won't. And if they say are law enforcement tney have to give their agency and jurisdiction, again they won't. Big scam.

The person that called knew my name and threatened that bad things would happen to me if i didnt respond or my attorney didnt respond. I dont even know what its about. No one answers when i do call and my bf called and the person refused to answer any questions. I called the number back and they said please hold so I can send you to the attorney I said no I want to know what this is about, they said **** YOU, I said ok thank you have a nice day if I get another call I will call the police. Hello I just received a call from this same number I could not understand a word they were saying which I did understand the numbers they were calling out to me which was they knew my social security number some how.. I asked If I could speak to an American so I could understand with what they were saying then they hung up on me I am kind of spooked out since they know my social security number. What should I do since they have all this detailed Info on me?

I got the same type of call on Friday and again today (Monday).  I reported them to the local police and also called the federal trade commission and reported them.

Received this call at workplace saying I took out a loan and that I was going to be arrested when I asked company name said drnc dispute resolution center which has been never heard of.
