I just answered a call from them and no one said a word when I answered. They eventually hung up so I called back and a lady answered right off the bat with "Is this Rebecca?" I answered yes it is. She procceded to verify my address with me and said that the purpose of the call was to give me an auto insurance quote. I told her she better remove my number from her list and don't ever call me again. She kindly obliged, but I'm sure they'll continue to harrass.

I live in Dallas, Texas- thought it could possibly be someone I knew. I answered the call, they just act stupid and sit in silence on the other end and hung up on me after I already said "hello" 3 times. Maybe I should have answered "bueno". Maybe they would have spoke up.

Got call from 214-446-0482 answer the call hang up on me call back man answer said   CC said my name I said do not like hang up on me when i answer , don't call  again.

I got a call and didnt answer. when i called back a lady asked for me by my first name, so i hung up. next i called from my work phone and a man picked up saying " wrong number, sorry for the call" and hung up. wth now im confused. but i guess they didnt want much cause if they did they would have left a voicemail the first time. screw them who ever they are!!!!

Got a call from this number at 2:15AM, it was a recording by Barack Obama talking about veteran's issues.

I got a call from this number saying I had been randomly chosen by my phone company to receive a new flip phone with blue tooth features. The lady asked if she was speaking to the 'owner of the phone' and that she needed the name of the owner and my address. I told her that if she was from sprint then she would have my information and her response was that they just wanted to make sure they get the phone to the correct address so that no mix-ups would happen. scam scam scam!  the number was no longer in service when i called back.

Got a phone call from this this number and couldnt take that call at that moment and tried calling it back and the number was no longer in service, what the heck??!!

started getting calls from this number at 4:30 am, and then immediately (one minute) after these calls, started getting calls from a 442-071-0162

They call me to let me know that that I "had been selected" to get a new free cell phone. I guess it was a selling company.

Rcvd call from this number.  It was a woman saying she was from Sprint--told her to not call back.  Googled this number and saw these comments.  Looks like this number gets around.

That number is the number of a voice over internet switch for a VOIP company called Packet8.  If a Packet8 customer doesn't set up their caller ID in their setup screen, it defaults to this packet8 #.  So it's not packet8 calling you, it is a packet8 customer who has subscribed to their voice over internet phone service (just like vonage, which everyone knows).

I know this because I have a call tracking system that I sell for advertising tracking and it shows both the caller ID and the call origination.  When I test it using my packet8 VOIP phone, it shows my caller ID and 214-446-0482 as the origination.

Received a call from this number at my home, on my toll-free number, at 3:36 am.  This was a Hillary Clinton campaign ad.  Yeah, she's got my vote.

I get a call from this number several times but everytime I call it back it says the number has been disconnected or no longer in service. I dont understand how that could be.

This number showed up on a credit card I activated and the credit card fraud dept. stopped use.  I don't know how this number was used to activate my credit card.

This number came up on my 800 number.  How did they get my 800 number?

We keep receiving related calls on our 800 number (and are also billed for them). Some people believe that they originate from Mitt Romney's election campaign. They may be calls simply attempting to determine whether or not the number is a target for future telemarketing calls. It looks like the calls are upsetting a fair amount of people. This comes to our inbound toll-free support number and none of our clients are based anywhere near Texas. They would also not leave a blank message for 90 seconds.

Given that people have been getting ripped off for what seems like MONTHS from numbers claiming to be this one, you would think that something would be done. Arrrggh.

I RECEIVED 2 calls from this number and now they are on MY long distance bill!! I know for a fact the second call was from Obama's campaign - a recording - because it came at 3:18am the night after my dad had heart surgery. I sent off a NASTY email before I left for work that morning. I had a call from him/ his campaign earlier in the month as well so I suspect the second call from that number was them as well. What I don't understand is why there is a charge on my long distance bill for them phoning me???? I'll have to call the phone company tomorrow. It's only a nickel, but why should I pay for them to call me? The bill states Dallas.

Washington State - Call came into my cell phone at 1:14 pm 12/21/2007,  the asian sounding lady on the other end of the phone asked for the guy I sleep with most nights,  I went to get him and she hung up.  Odd thing is, he is not listed on my cell phone plan, its in my name only.  This has happened in the past and it was a person from Sprint looking to sell him a phone.  Not sure how Sprint got his name or why they would call my cell phone to contact him.
