They left me few voice messages. I can see they are not Americans,but, acting as american crime investigators.

"This  officer John Adams from federal crime enforcement network, we have a arrest warrant against you from the district court under 97-act chapter 1008. You need to call us back immediately  to 214-446-1841 as soon as possble. So before we come and arrest you either from your work place or from your door steps or where ever you are..., Notify to us immediately and confirm your idenity. if we do not hear from you or your legal representative or if you call at your own convenient time , we will not accept your request and you will be in a great deal of trouble. May god bless you out of this trouble and best of luck.."

This is insane as i can hear multiple people making these calls from a call center and they are making multiple calls to the same person in order to make them call back. I have seen many other fishing calls in the past,but, this seem to be much more aggressive way!

I received a call from 214-446-1841 with a foreign accent about an arrest warrant. It sounded like a scam and did call back this number but got their voicemail. This is such a terrible waste of time and these people do need to stop this or face legal action. I did a search on this number and thanks to this thread will not bother to respond to these folks. I got a call at 12:10pm (CST) today.

I received a similar threatening call recorded on my answering machine, telling me to call back immediately to avoid being arrested and the call was from the same phone number, so I cross checked on the internet and researched the number and carrier name (Tex-link Communications, Inc. Dallas, Texas., now a part of  Pac-Tel Communications).
The thick accent of the caller definitely was of east Indian origin. therefore I tried tracing the number within India. Seems there is an identical number listed in a place called Murud, Maharashtra India under a provider called Bharti Airtel?? Perhaps these criminals are operating from within India falsely assuming they are sitting safe from the reaches of US Federal Authorities since they relay their calls thru Tex-Link Inc.????
I called them from my cell just to amuse myself as well identifying them, I tried being courteous and asking for their business type, dba and physical address. The person got very irate and started shouting and started using profanities and hung up. I called the same number several times, after they keep on passing the phone to others to answer my query and each time they started shouting and used profanities.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I received a message asking me to call (214) 446 1841 indicating I have 3 legal Affidavits under my husband and my name and this message was from the "Federal Crime Force Network" (not sure what that is) and that I will be in legal trouble if I did not call.  I was asked call Officer Watson at (214) 446 1841.  The background noise was more like a helpdesk or call center.  So this may be a bigger scam with several people calling out to Texans from this number.  It should be reported to law enforcement.  I will call the local police her in Houston and pass this on to them.

Received a threatening voice mail from an unidentified number. They asked me to call 214-446-1841 and talk to Officer Thomas O'Brien -- as there are 4 arrest warrant against me, if I do not call, then the police will come and take me away and I will lose my job. (I live a 1000 miles from Texas.)
I got the same voice mail from the same person yesterday, their caller ID said "MCI ITSS TELESY" and he wanted me to call the same 214 number and talk to Officer Mike Andersen.
The person calling clearly has a foreign accent, trying to sound American.

I wish real law enforcement will call that number and shut this scam.
