I also was contacted by "Connie Jaconi" wanting to buy my wedding dress on KSL and I got suspicious when they wouldn't answer any questions I asked. They sent me a check for 1550 from some company in NY luckily I looked up the name on here before taking it to the bank. They kept saying to let them know when it has been deposited. Stupid people. I hope they get caught and rot in jail. Get a life "Connie"!

I just got a text message from Connie too! She was trying to get my dress that I posted on KSL> The same number, 405 309 21 48. Do not respond!!!!

This time "Connie Jaconi" is now in Harrah, Oklahoma - and trying to buy the wedding dress I'm selling, too.

i'm glad i looked up that number. I recently put an ad on KSL that i was looking for a part time job wanted. I get this text stating if i was looking for work but i tried asking for more information to see what i could get out of them but i knew it was a scam. something that looks good is not. All scammers.

Got a text from robin hunter about my wedding dress but from the # 8323568417  I  was selling my dress for $400 and she send me a check for $ 1550 I am glad I 'm glad I found this info with a Google search.

I have received text messages from "Connie Jaconi",but from the number 405-309-2148.  I was also selling a dress on KSL  The text messages were in broken English so I was suspicious from the beginning.  I actually thought "she" was done texting me, but a check miraculously showed up in my mail today...for $1500 when I was only selling my dress for $300...  I will certainly be turning "her" in.  Don't ever fall for these scams!!

She's still at it, just got a text about a wedding dress on ksl from "Connie".  Texted back with the price but that was before I read these...  haven't heard back from her yet :-(  Think I will play along too!

It is so sad that this person, or team of scammers, has not been caught yet.  I too received a text from Connie Jaconi from Harrah, OK, today wanting to buy my wedding dress with a certified check.  I'm always suspicious so I'm glad I found this info with a Google search.  The number used is (405)309-2148.

My first time advertising on KSL. Received a text from Connie Jaconi. She wants to buy motorcycle clothes. I asked which clothes she was interested in purchasing. The next text said she would send a certified check. Like the rest of you I became suspicious and googled her name. Thanks everyone.

Got a text from Connie Jaconi about my wedding dress, good thing I Google'd it! It's exactly as people said above on ksl from the 405 area code. Do NOT give any personal info without checking! Especially if they don't text with regular English.

Wow thank you for all who posted. I saw on a job site an opening for a server and bar tending for a new restaurant that will be opening this weekend. When I was contacted back from email from the "owner" she said her name is Connie Jaconi and will pay $400/wk plus tips for 5hrs/day mon-fri. I thought wow good money for a job like that and the hours. So she asked for my name and address and number and I received a check for $1850.00 and I was wondering where it came from. The check said it came from an Energy Incorporation. So I received an email today from "Connie" and it said that she sent a check for 1850$ and wants me to keep $450 for advance payment for the job and to send the rest of the money to her delivery man who is bringing all the bar equipment to the restaurant. I was wondering why wouldn't she do that because she is the owner. I keep asking where the restaurant is located because around where I live there is nowhere being renovated for a new restaurant. She has not answered that question I've asked it 3 or 4 times.
I called the Energy from the place on the check and the lady interrupted me and got mad and told me she got another call like that and said it is a scam and to destroy the check. Strange!

I also got a check from Robin Hunter at Reimington College, same scenario, nothing else in the envelope check was for 1800.00 and was from Hadley Family Dentistry.  I called the Dentist office, which was real and no one has called me back yet.  What happened with you??

i receive a check bu USPS in the amount of 1500.00. the envelope has Remington College and the name Robin Hunter. The check looks real and is from quality truck care center in Wisconsin. Nothing else was in the envelope and i havent been contacted by anyone

Please write back. I just gave my address to the Connie jaconi today for a check for my wedding dress. How did they get a hold of your credit card with just your address information??

Was scammed recently by James Albertson  james.alberton@aim.com.  Have contacted him by email and let him know i will be reporting gthme the FBI Cyber Security Crimes Unit (IC3)  Do not do any secreta shopper as the are all scams.  Sorry Robin that your anme and info was used

Well I was contacted by a man named Rhina James. He thought I would be a stupid kid. I went with it all. He was offering me a job cleaning his house that he will be moving into soon. I than gave him my info and stuff. I than got the check and knew it was fake and just threw it away. But I was contacted by this number 762-208-5029. The check came USPS from Robin Hunter Hilton University. They are not that smart...Oh well

Don't give ANY information to this person!!  I had the same ksl wedding dress deal, and thought that I could at least take the check that I get to the bank to have them check it out and see if it was legitimate, but within 2 days of giving the address to send the check to, somehow my credit card had been maxed out, with all charges coming from Oklahoma where the phone number (405-309-2148) originates.  Luckily my credit union recognized it immediately and closed the account.  I want this person to be caught.  But how?

I also had advertised my apartment for short term rental on craigslist and was contacted by Jenny Miller, email address jennymilluv@yahoo.com.  She stated she was a fashion agent from Canada coming to the States for a 5 month project.  I would email her and get very little information back, and when I requested we speak by phone, she only offered up a conversation via email.  I became suspicious and googled her and found this website.  Something smells rotten in Denmark.

They are still at it but this time for puppies. Thanks to all who posted. Text was from # 762-208-5029  They were seriously at it at 5:00 this morning. Just minutes after my as was posted. Really? Just minutes after and your asking if it's still for sale? This is the third scam, the first wanted his "agent" to pick up the puppy! Not picking out your own puppy, it doesn't take a genius.

I am in NYC area. I advertise apartments for rent on Craigslist. I was contacted by Jenny Miller , e-mail address  jennymilluv@yahoo.com  The check was sent to mi by USPS Priority Mail envelope. The check
is from Evergreen Capital, Portland Oregon. The bank is  Regions Bank, Goodlettsville, TN

I hope these information can help to get those people where they belong.

I also have my wedding dress on KSL.Same # text me saying the same thing. Connie Jacobi (405) 309-2148. This is the 3rd person trying to scam me out of my dress and money. One number is (256) 262-3929 associated with 2 names, Lisa Webb shipped the check and the check was Carmen Thorne's. Another number is (251) 202-2653 who tried to text me 2 weeks later almost verbatim the same words as Carmen Thorne. They always ask how much the dress is and if it is still for sale, which is stupid because it says the price on the ad they get your # from so why would they ask? They're always in Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, or Georgia which is also weird because KSL mostly only services Utah, Nevada, and Idaho. Also, the english is not quite right, punctuation is off, and they say okay a lot in weird places. I now just tell them they are not very smart about scamming, to speak english correctly, and to change their phone number.

Thank you girls so much for posting! I had the exact same scenario happen to me this weekend but from the number (405) 309-2148. Connie texted me and freaked out when I asked for a Paypal payment instead. I texted her a screen shot of these posts and said, "No thank you." I haven't gotten a response. :) I hope she gets caught!
