Called for the first time today and is comes up as Payment Systems. Male kept asking if I was the owner of some business.

Just got a call from them.  Same mess

I got a call from this number asking about a small business. After doind some tracking, I learned the name of the caller is WILSON REECE. That may not be the correct spelling but I called him back. You may like to do the same to get off his list.

Receive calls from this number on a daily basis but I never answer. Maybe I should get my name off the list if it really works.

This is now a number used by a property management company and is/should be  legitimate.

Got a call from the number at 4pm, seeing as though I am NOT a business and have no "owner", I asked them to take me off their call list.  The person apologized and said that she would.

Seemed easy.  I guess maybe I'm a little slow here, but I don't really understand some of the above comments.  I understand why someone would be upset about calls to a private number, but that isn't what happened in the majority of the comments I just read.

The above employees received a call at work then got on the internet and spent the next few minutes (or longer) researching who the call was from and posting comments about it.  I would assume that they did this while on the clock too.

Think about it.

Received a call today from someone who did not leave a name.  They asked for the owner of the business by his first name, but would not leave a message and hung up.

I dialed the number and was able to get into their phone system.  Here are some sales people and their extensions; have FUN!

Received a call from this number today and no one said anything before hanging up.  After searching for the number and finding this site I took the advice and called Encore back and reached the operator to request our number be taken off the call list.  She apologized and said she was removing our number.

A woman was on the line when I answered, verifying my address, zip-code, etc, then "the manager" came on the line and informed me that a representative would be by tomorrow to demonstrate their system. Very brusque, and gave no opportunity to say "No."

I was told this was a website service and I immediately asked to have my number removed from the calling list. They are required to do this by law if request comes from the recipient of the call.

Receive calls from this number on a daily basis when they ask for a co owner, owner or say nothing and hang up.
I called back today and got the "this mailbox is full" I wonder what their deal is

Called during a business meeting, and did not leave a message.

When I answered the phone, the lady was laughing so hard she could barely talk.  She said her name was Melinda and she was from the Oncall Payment Systems.  She asked to talk to the owner, and I said that they weren't available.  Does it really help to call back and ask for your name to be removed?

I own a restaurant. Today one of my cashiers answered the phone and was asked, very rudely, "where's the owner?" to which she replied, "The owner is not here".  Then the caller asked, "Where is the co-owner?", to which she replied, "Also not here".  Then the caller asked "Where are they?" and she replied, "I don't know", and the caller hung up.

Have had the same experience as others with rudeness and hangups.Filed a complaimt with the Dallas Better Business Bureau today.

This company calls ALL THE TIME - tell them you're not interested and they hang up only to call again a few days later.  A solution to stop them: Call 214-451-6687.  The phone system will tell you the mailbox is full, but if you listen long enough, you'll be prompted for other options, including searching the company's phone directory.  Choose this option, then enter "A" - or any random letter - when prompted for the "name of the person you're trying to dial."  You'll inevitably arrive at some person's voice mailbox.  If the greeting sounds friendly, leave a message with your name and number and ask to be removed from their list.  If the voice is cold, you can scroll through the full list of employees by touching 1.  Find a voice you like and go from there.  I left a message with a guy named Roger.  He called back in an hour or so, apologized profusely, and told me he'd seen to it himself that I'd never get a call from them again....

They call me every morning.  They never leave a message.  I call back and learn nothing.

They called and also asked for the owner I asked what is was regarding and ask for more detail than just merchant services.  They genlteman got very rude, yelled at me and hung up.  The next day a woman called and I told her about the call the day before and ask that they do not call here again.

Called at 2pm today April 10,2007 no message left.  Thanks to all who have posted about this number, it helped me quickly determine that the missed call (on my cell phone) was not important

This number is a cell phone, and I think that it would be unusual for a legitimate business not to have a regular phone number with a directory listing.

Received call yesterday, March 28, at 1:56 p.m. I have a Seattle-area Cingular cell phone which is not associated with a business of any kind. I almost answered since I grew up in the 214 area code (Dallas/Fort Worth). No voice-mail message was left and no further calls have been received.

They called our office and asked to speak with the owner or co-owner. I said that he was out of town and asked what it was regarding. They said it was for our merchant account, so I said that the doctor was not interested in changing merchant providers (we get calls for it a lot). Then she said "Thank you but the owner will have to tell me that himself" and hung up. So i just called back until I got connected to the operator and told her to remove us from her list. They've called before and if you tell them that the owner is unavailable they just say that they will call back. I've told them that they can only leave messages and that their call will never be connected through and they just keep saying that they will call back.

They called and ask for the owner and as soon as I started to say they are unavailable, they hung up. I called them back to be taken off of their calling list.

I was called at home and a man asked for my husband by full name -asked if this person was "the owner". When he was told that we do not want to buy anything he said they were not selling anything and he hung up. He did not sound like like a telemarketer and his manner of speaking made me suspicious, though I can't put my finger on what concerned me.

Called my business and offered their payment processing system. My assistant spoke to them. They asked for me by my first and last name and when she asked whether it was a solicitation they said No. She said that I am not available and we are not interested in their services. They sai they will call later and hung up.
