i also have got two phone calls from this number 214-506-0008 first time he claimed to be named Jim Orbit and the second call about one week after the first his name had changed to Robert.He claimed to be representing Microsoft and that they had recieved  notification my computer was heavily infected and would i turn it on so he could  resolve the problem,i of course did not do that.The next time i turned my computer on it was a mess my video card drivers were all missing and had reverted to default settings.My computer hasnt been quiet the same every since then.

Just received a phone call from 214/506-0008 that I suspect was a scam. It is, beware !

Received a phone call stating his name was Peter Day & he was an IT from Microsoft Windows. Had me install Team Viewer so that he could view my computer to show me how corrupt it is. Showed me all kinds of errors & problems that I have in my system & I know NOTHING or less about computers so I told him that I would have to contact my grandson who is an IT person before I did anything else to my system. He left his name & number for me to call back.

My Grandson called the number & this guy DOES NOT work for Microsoft Windows. He did not answer the call but in fact called back after a couple minutes & the number came up on the phone as 563-738-49 which I think is an international number. My Grandson checked my system & Team Viewer is a one time access so I should be safe. (hoping) BEWARE - don't let this guy into your system.

This number was trying to scam saying they are from a company called "Windows" saying that activities on my computer were viruses and such, even though they are nothing of the kind. I am an IT professional, and could smell the scam a mile away. Beware!
