This number calls me 8x at least a day all times of day and night how do we get it to stop calling it is out of control

i got a call from these people, and they didnt leave a message. I called the number back, because i wanted to know who it was. when they answered, they asked if i was so and so,pronouced my last name wrong. and then wanted me to verify my birthdate, address, and ss#. I said if u cant tell me what you want, since u called me, I cant tell u any personal info. they said they couldnt tell me anything til they verified who i was. I told them, u called me, i called u back....what more verification do u need. then they said they couldnt tell me anything, and proceeded to rattle off my address. and asked me to verify that(again). I told them mail something to me and we will see if that is the right address and i hung up.

I get calls from this # and I don't know who they are, as they don't identify themselves. Sounds fishy to me, or is that phishing.

Calls 3-4 times a day never a message never a person! I am sure I have medical bills that have been bought by the company but come on leave a stinking message!

called left no message. by law cant call place of employment. this always happens when you do something to your credit..like buy a car or house..something big..it goes on for about two months report them everytime they call keep a log of calling to file charges. they also call from this number too

This is a debt collector. Can't figure out the name.

Been getting calls from this number several times a day, at varying times, for 2 weeks.  No one is there when I answer.

These people are criminals.
They are not debt collectors or anything like that.
They are phishing for any information you might  be dumb enough to give them.

# 214-506-7175 called our home for a few days, always at 8am, then noon, then about dinner time, 5-pm-ish. I ignored it, I don't know anyone from taht zip, and I am supposed to be on a do not call list from donotcall.org and donotcall.com .. but this company, which we called  them back wouldn't 'say' who they are for some stupid reason, but here's the REAL deal. THEY ARE A CREDIT COLLECTOR  and they were given your name.  So, if you have an outstanding debt, most likely from a medical bill, these guys will call you EVERY FRIKKEN day until you call them back.  Either get your debt sorted out from it's origin, or you'll end up on the bad risk list.  

BE AWARE of this number.

These people at phone number 214-506-7175 are Debt Collectors, they won't tell you that if you call them back.. duh!! that's dorky Anyway, we had a medical bill that we're fighting the insurance for, well, the hospital gave these 'debt collector' people our file, and we are still fighting for the bill but we paid the bill to get off the collectors name.  We don't need this headache ontop of an insurance who won't pay us our money either.  
In this day and age, it is wise to fix credit issues, but pay your bills anyway, and fight the origin even after they are paid.

This number called me, I know someone in Texas, but with call id, I won't answer the phone unless I KNOW the person, and I will keep my answering machine vs the voicemail (VM) because if someone knows me, they know better, and start talking.  
I put myself on the donotcall.org and the donotcall.com, this doesn't seem to stop these people, but that is because they are using a computer to call you, which btw (by the way) you cannot block a computer line.. yet!  I think you need to buy a blow horn and when the call 'BLOW' it out their... >>>>>

The phone calls are coming from West Asset Management.  As of last month, March 18,2011,  they have the largest Debt Collectors Settlement to the FTC's.  They are also considered to be "Bottom Feeder" Debt Collectors as they buy OLD DEBTS for pennies to the dollar and then try to collect on something that is old and nolonger considered a debt. In some cases they have been known to collect on a debt that is 10 plus years old. DON'T FALL for their scare tactics!!
I got involved with looking into them when they started calling and bothering and elderly friend of mine. They were cruel and mean.

This is Asset West Management, I receive their callas also. I had a medical collection with them. They offered a 50% discount on paying off the debt. I did, it was paid and they still call me. I have gone to there webiste filled in all the information and asked them to stop calling me but they refuse.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. Got issued a company phone with a number that was previously used by a person who was behind on his house payments and a bunch of credit cards and this has not been the only number to call me several times. I got very stern with one lady from another number once and they stopped calling me but this one is very persistant. I have to keep the phone on all of the time and they have woken me from my sleep several times. The only act of defence I can think of at this point is to get a new number, I can only hope the company will allow it,

i get several calls from this number everyday, when I answer the phone there is nobody there or they ask for the wrong person.  I work a difficult schedule and they wake me up, for i have to keep my phone on for i have children in school.  I wish there would be a law against people doing this.....

It is apparently a debt collector with erronious debt which appears to be an insurance fraud scam of some sort, asking for a person the telephone number doesn't even belong to.
