Mr. Dinan,
I tried to send an email to contact@circulationiii.com to stop your call center's calls, as you suggested in your comment above. But it was returned as undeliverable. I'll try to call the number you mentioned in your second comment. By the way, I've had this number since 2000. It's not a new number.

It's me again: Circulation III Promotions was hired by the Dallas Morning News. They don't give away phone numbers, per se, but area codes and prefixes. Still, that's enough for me to cancel any ties I have with the company.
The Dallas Morning News can be reached at 214 977 8222.

Recieved a call from this number and it woke my son up. I listed my number on the National Do Not Call Registry! How did they get past this?!?!

We are a Call Center that sells Newspaper Subscriptions all accross the USA and Canada.
If you answered the phone and received a dial tone or "hang up", I am sorry this happened. The call was disconnected from our auto-dialer since all of operators were busy talking to potential customers.I know this is frustrating, but we are in compliance with the FCC regulations on these types of software issues. As technology continues to advance, eventuallly a new software for Call Centers will discontinue the "hang ups".
If you want to be removed from our calling list, simply call 214.352.1123 or email contact@circulationiii.com.
Sincerely,
John V. Dinan III
President

I have been getting called from this number almost everyday on my work phone number.
james 2011-06-06 20:43:28 Unknown
John, I find it very hard to believe that you are in compliance with the FCC. Have you ever heard of the do not call list??????

I have been getting calls, on my office phone, from this 214-580-1098 number daily for well over a month now. They always hang up and the line is busy when I try to call them back. I just called the circulation number and talked to "Tonya" who said my number would be taken off their call list. Guess we'll see.

I received call from this number. I live in Virginia...why would I need Dallas morning news?????
Rita 2011-06-06 20:43:28 Unknown
Called and when I answered, they hung up. Has happened before.
Jess 2011-06-06 20:43:28 Unknown
Get a call from them everyday atleast twice a day. I have had my phone number for 2 years so saying it is just new numbers is bull.

These sons of b***hes call my house multiple times throughout the day (which I am never there due to work). I check my caller id daily when I get home and guess what? That circulation III number is on there! I hope they call when I am at the house because I plan on giving them an ear full!! What is wrong with these people? There is suppose to be laws against this type of "harassment" but nothing is ever done. The FCC is a joke and so is that "Do Not Call" list....doesn't work. Thinking of disconnecting my land line phone.
Anthony 2011-06-06 20:43:28 Unknown
With all these comments you would think John D. would something about it. Apparrently not. And apparrently those who have taken it to next step, still nothing has done about it. I would would like to know the ultimate step to stop this harrassment. The step that will stop this for all of us. I know JOh you are reading these comments/complaints and probably smiling like wicked man. The auto dialer is just that. A machine that executes numbers all day and probably collects statistics. John I was a paperboy when I was young. I approached potential customers with professionalism, I would provide free samples, then follow up. I never played these childish games of hide and seek.

Caller said they were now delivering the local paper in my area. I told them this was a business phone, they hung up on me.

Received the same annoying calls, from number 214-580-1098, only to answer and have nobody there. I call the number back and it gisconnects and gives a busy signal. The number to call is: 214-352-1123. It connects you with "Circulation3" Ask for John Daimon and tell him to take you off of their list. It is a computer program that dials out. I explained we were registered on the National Do Not Call registry, and he siad he would remove our numbers from his system. I will still be reportuing to the FCC.

I WISH THAT THE COMPANY WOULD FIND SOOM BETTER TO DO STOP CALLING MY HOME
EARLY IN THE MORNING ALL TIMES OF DAY DONT WONT S**T!!!!

John Dinan appears to be helpful way back in 2007, but I just started getting these calls this week- and my Vonage phone line has been in service over 2 years. So nice try John, but you are NOT calling just newly registered numbers. And BTW, why are you calling area code 205 (Central Alabama)? Are you still operating on behalf of Dallas Morning News, or has some other desperate company in a dying industry contracted your services?
Tim 2011-06-06 20:43:28 Unknown
You can call (214) 352-1123 and tell them to remove you from their calling list. It is a shame that we have to live with their harassment - the laws should be stronger and have have sanctions from them ever being able to have phone service.
CiCi 2011-06-06 20:43:28 Unknown
I called the number that Mr Dinan gave and spoke to a gentleman who said he would cancel the calls. I did however ask what newspaper he was calling about and it was my local paper, not Dallas Morning News. He gave me a rate that was half of the cheapest rate the paper could give me. Believe me, I have had my share of harrassing calls this past year but this turned out ok for me. They haven't called at 8 am though and that would make me mad. Just curious if the person with vonage possibly changed their IP and that might have caused the confusion.

I took John's advice and called the number he gave and requested removal from the list. The man on the other end was very polite and said I would be removed immediately.
Thanks for the info John, much appreciated.

This # calls my house every day several times. Thought it was a bill collector until I researched it. I just called the # above, which is 214.352.1123, and they were very polite and removed my number from the DNC list.

I get a call from this number once or twice 7 days a week. No one is there. This is pure unadulterated HARASSMENT.

Good people, I have everything we need here for a class action lawsuit. This circulation calling service has been on a short break but is back at its harassing calls again. I have the information needed to sue them. I will be providing an email address soon to contact in order to add your name to our growing list of annoyed citizens. We do have rights.
JCWPMJJBJ 2011-06-06 20:43:28 Unknown
Don't want any calls if I cannot call you back on the same number before speaking with you. I need to identify you by more than your name and badge number. I can make that up and make it sound good and professional. Better yet don't call me again
Jim 2011-06-06 20:43:28 Unknown
For a president of a company, you seem to have forgotten or never learned the basics of English. "clearify" and "gices" are incorrect. I think you meant "clarify" and "gives".
And by the way, we've had the same phone number for 10 years. How does that line up with your version of "new phone hookups"? Also, we are on the Do Not Call Registry. Bottom line: you are in violation of FCC rules.

I received a call from this number a few weeks back - a woman said she was from the Dallas Morning News and wanted to check on my subscription. I told her it was fine - Now I receive at least one call per day from this same number. Most times its a hangup or no one is there. Sometimes its asking the very same question on my subscription. I have asked that they stop calling this number and it hasn't stopped. Its my personal cell and its frustrating to say the least...any ideas on how to block or stop this?
